Leaving in a few hours for our trip. Going to Pismo for a few days with just Dave, and then to Refugio near Santa Barbara for the week after.

Yesterday I had to go in to work which was not fun after getting home so late the day before but it had to be done and I had a big pile waiting for me after being gone a week. But I got through it and the girls and I came home and I started in on the never ending laundry pile but the girls wanted to watch the original twilight to see if they can recognize any of the places we saw in Forks so we watched that and then of course they wanted to watch the other two so we ended up not getting a whole lot done the rest of the day but to be honest it was kind of nice to just relax after going so much during the trip.

I downloaded my pics and uploaded some to FB but still have to get over to the store and get them developed.

Esp since tomorrow night is our swim party and I will be taking MORE pics.

I mentioned this on FB but Katy has had a NASTY cough ever since our trip started so I am taking her to the doc today and then off to do the dreaded school supply shopping for Shelby. Can't do Katy's because once they get to jr high and high school they don't give out the lists till after school starts. Kind of sucks because then everything is picked over. She also got her packet from the school while we were gone and she gets her schedule on the 10th so she is all excited to see what classes she got and we are going to go take a tour and see where the classes are and have an orientation. I am sure she will be excited to see her friends as well.

As I mentioned our end of year swim awards party is tomorrow night and we are finally done with swim for the year and then next week soccer practice starts. Never ending!!

Course that's a whole new group of friends to get to hang with so it's fun.

I sure will be anxious to have the airfares come available for the trip as well as the hotels so we can get things more firmed up. Although at this point probably best they aren't since we are broke from our trip right now LOL.

Think that is about all that is new with me.

Kelly, I'm definitely going to go check out your pics! Hope Katy's cough goes away soon. You're just jumping right back into things! That vacation after glow never lasts long enough, does it?

I'm hoping to meet up with Chris, Dagny & Lauren in Oct. I didn't know Diva's were going in Nov...what are the dates??

How fun! I love that you, Chris, Dagny and Lauren make it a point to get together every so often.
Well, I won't be in WDW in October or November or any other month, lol, but I think Stacie, Vicki, and Heather will be there for Mouse Adventure which is Nov. 12. SarahMay is going to be there around that time as well with her family, and I think Cheryl said she would be there as well. So they've got a nice little mini meet going!

You should just go both months so you can see both groups of ladies, along with the Halloween decorations and then the Christmas ones. Oh, wouldn't that be fun!

I want to do an Oct/Nov WDW trip so badly!

I've wanted to do the Food & Wine Festival for a couple years now and I figure if I time it right I can do both the Halloween Party and the Christmas party all in one trip! I just need to con my hubby into going with me again or find some friends willing to join me!

Woohoo, I'm glad to see that Heather and Stacie are coming on the trip (eventhough I actually see Stacie a few times a year and I'll be seeing her next month ).

For those on FB, you've might have already seen that I didn't receive good news at the doctor today . I really appreciate all the support and I love you all bunches . I was planning on posting details, but I really don't want to be a downer, so just know that in the end all should be fine, but I do have to go for a couple more months of treatment and then a few months of follow-up. I just love the doctors so this will be fun for me .

If you'd like more details of what's wrong with, feel free to ask by sending me a message. I don't want too much of my business publically on the thread KWIM??

Anywho's it all sucks, but it's just a bump in life to get over and on a positvie note, I finally saw Harry Potter this evening and I really enjoyed it .

Well dang it was not the news you wanted. It was good news in a round about way, it is just going to be longer getting that news. Knowing that after a few months you are going to be all over this must make doing all the medical stuff so much easier.

Good Morning! Sadly, I won't be in WDW in Nov. I had to scrimp somewhere. I have 3 children under 5 and DH and I both work full time. I'd love to have the vacation schedule that some of my friends have, but it's just not possible right now. Update on my good friend: Unless there is a big miracle going to happen soon she is being kept comfortable for the next few days. I am so glad that the last time I saw her I reminded her of all our good times we had had over the years. I am glad I got that extra "till we meet again" hug. The doctors have given her family news that she will not be going home from hospital . I am not giving up hope, I know all to well miracles do happen with out explanation. This miracle just needs to hurry up.

Wanted to say HAPPY MID-WEEK to everyone. August is always that busy month with school shopping and vacations. I hope to get some summer house cleaning done. Weather has been on the cooler side here so my tomato plants are still without tomatoes. The one good thing is they are huge and have mega blooms. I need warmer weather now for fruit to grow from the blooms. Take care everyone. Today take a few minutes and do something just for yourself today, you are so worth it.

I'm so sorry Patty prayers for her, her family & you!!!

I was hoping that new offer would have covered the first week of October too!!! We're now looking at staying at the Pier, if I can get it all figured out. I've called & left a voice mail for HoJo's manager 4-5 times & still haven't received a call back.....so I'm getting a bit irritated......enough to pay more to make sure our needs are met for the twins!!!

When we originally set the trip for end of November, Jonathon was wonderful.....setting us up in the queen suite. When I had to call him back because of the date changes.....he looked & the suite wasn't available. So he said we'd need to go with 2 rooms. I told him we'd have to figure out what we'd like to do. He said if I book with them, to get ahold of him with the ressie #'s. So after the new dates were set & we decided to go with 2 rooms, I called....sent to his phone in his office where I got his voicemail. I've reached his voice mail 4 times & no return call. I even sent a PM thru the DIS since we had some messages going back & forth with the November dates....but no reply. The HoJo page on FB doesn't let you send messages.....so just a bit disappointed.

We're thinking with the extras & kiddie activities at the hotel, we might just go that route. This would also give us 3 MM......the only way I'd get one of those is if I bought a 3 day PH just to use it for the MM.

So it looks like I won't be able to go again next year. With Katelyn's National win it means we are going back to St Louis next June and now taking an unexpected trip to WDW in December. Katelyn was nominated all american again at cheer camp so she gets to be in the taping of the Christmas parade in Magic Kingdom and the whole family will get to watch her Christmas Day!

Go for it Laurie! You deserve it. I hope they release a good deal for Dec. I'd love to stay on property and get MM and TTMM. I can't wait to see the boys' faces when they see Mickey for the first time!
