:thumbsup2 Now, if only we could fast forward the calendar to make it all get here sooner!!!
Right now if I could do anything, I would rewind back to May and our trip to Carlsbad. I miss the beach and the cool weather!

The shirts are really good!! I love the DisDivaLand logo.
I love it, too. Can't wait to see the finished product. :)

OK, probably a stupid question, but how are people getting villas the GC?

Are you members?

Just wondering if there is another way to get a room at the GC without being a paying member of anything.

Cheers!
Like Theresa said if all you want is a regular room, you can book directly with the hotel. As for the villas that you see some of the ladies staying in, some are DVC members, and some are planning to rent points. The whole renting points thing is confusing to me, but there are a couple here who could probably offer advice if you have questions.

A box arrived today and I think it's the final part for my laptop.:cheer2:
The one I'm using is awful. It took 30 minutes to read 2 pages .
Whoo hoo! Hope it's the final part you need. :cool1:

Help! I have five kids running around my house!! :scared1: OKay so four of them are mine, but still. :rotfl: I'm hiding out in my bedroom because they have taken over the entire downstairs.

Anyway, I was reading something online about how the press is now saying Kate Middleton is getting too skinny. Reminds me of Princess Diana. They say she's 5' 10" and only weighs 95 pounds!! If that's true, that is really thin!! I'm 5' 9" and the thinnest I ever got in high school was 120 lbs! (of course that was eons ago, lol)
I know several of us here watched the wedding and were interested in their relationship. Hopefully she's ok and the pressure and public lifestyle aren't getting to her. :sad2:

Okay, carry on. I'm going to venture out and make sure my downstairs is still in tact. ;)

(actually they are all quietly doing art work downstairs. It's all girls so poor Adam is hiding out in his room playing Xbox. )

Well all I can say is GRRRRRR!!!:headache::mad:

I had a very nice reply to send, and I had to leave for while to attend my grandson Luca. I came back to finish and send it off and it had expired. Everytime that happens, the site tells me to refresh and BAM! GONE! POOF!
I am not a happy camper!

So now short and sweet.

Reporting to tell you that I also had a wonderful time with the Divas on Sunday. :grouphug: I enjoyed my food and the company was the best part! The Paradise Garden area is perfect for our first "ladies trip" meet up! popcorn:: Laila, was adorable and so well behaved. Loved Star Tours. Little Mermaid, kind of left me hanging. LOL! :upsidedow

Capri, Big hugs to you dear!

Welcome to the newbies! :welcome: You will have a blast!
My name is Melody.:flower3: Married 34 years next month. (Will also be an official senior citizen next month.:sad2:) 4 children and 4 grandchildren, with one miracle grandchild on the way. :cloud9: I am a veteran Diva going on 5 years! Woo hoo! :woohoo:

Wendy, What say you? :sad2:

Nice to see you again Vicki/baseballgirl! :goodvibes

Beth, I passed along the tee graphic for Derrick to work on. :thumbsup2

What else was I going to say?

Oh yeah.....I'm glad we are going to the Carousel again for the M & G! Thanks to the ladies getting that together! :flower3:

I'm making bruschetta pizza tonight. Yummy! :cool1:But I'm going to cheat on the dough and use some "naan" that I found at Target. I have never have used naan for the dough, so I am curious about it. I will report back.

A new Singer sewing machine arrived by UPS to me today as a bday present from my mom  Now to pull out the projects!

Why o why does February have to be so far away?! All this planning talk and discriptions of food sound amazing!

I think we've made great progress in all the planning lately.
We have a Meet and Greet room and theme.
A scavenger hunt theme.
A good start to our schedule, which we will continue to work on and firm up as it gets closer.
Our t-shirts colors, and a fun new group tee design.
Many of us have our hotel rooms/roommates all settled and some have already booked flights.
Yep, it's all coming together quite nicely! :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Now, if only we could fast forward the calendar to make it all get here sooner!!!

:thumbsup2

I'm ready for this trip too.:goodvibes

Yeah for the new sewing machine! What model is it? You will have t let me know, I am in the market for a new sewing machine myself (but don't tell my husband that ;) )

Happy humpday to yall - Tonight is the start of my 7 days on/7 days off at work. I am going to love having 7 days off but I am not so sure about working 7 12-hour nights in a row. :scared1: Oh well, after my husbands flight benefits start, I could just run down to DL for a couple of nights on my days off. Too bad the school would frown on me taking my kids out of school all the time. Humm, maybe I should look at homeschool. LOL. J/K. :scared1::scared1:

7 12-hr night shifts in a row?!?! I do at most 6 8hrs and I am beyond exhausted. I hope your family lets you get plenty of sleep when you are home!

You can rent DVC points to get a villa at the Grand, or you can just book a regular room there without DVC points.

I made non member reservations in Jan for a 1 bd in August. I think if rooms come available 60 days out they can be put out for cash but to me really, really expensive. Only way I can do it.

Jack

Will also be an official senior citizen next month.:sad2:
What, praytell, will qualify you as that? What is the "official" age these days? I think it should be 80 unless it means I can get a discount. ;)

There have been a few ladies asking about getting into a villa at the GC. Seems that most of the inquiries are from ladies who are not 100% sure they will attend, but if there is someone who is sure they will be coming, PM me and I will give you the details if you are interested. We have one spot left in the studio portion of our "2-bdrm plus studio" group.

I really want to come this year but not sure I can make it, I need really good airfare and an awesome rate with lots of friends cuz I don't think I can stay anywhere but the GC after last year. :snooty:

I really want you to come too! I hope you can work it out.

So I'm not the only one that has had this lovely experience happen to them .

You can rent the villas without points??? Sweet. I had no idea :thumbsup2

I'm ready for this trip too.:goodvibes

Me too!

Agreed.

Yay for wonderful trips :cheer2: I can't wait to try the Paradise Garden area for lunch in February.

She is very thin - I think she's a size 2. It really shows on her though because she's so tall. I do like how Prince William really stands up for her. She seems to have much more support than Princess Diana ever did. They seem very down to Earth........ well, as down to Earth as you can get and still be royalty :rotfl2:

Pizza for dinner tonight here. I just can't handle the thought of cooking. This seems to be happening too often lately.

I can't wait to see what the shirts are going to look like. I know they will be awesome (like usual).

I feel so productive today! I made dinner tonight (pasta) and then went back out for a run after taking yesterday off because of pain in my leg. It was a very good run!!

Sounds delish! Although I had to Google "naan". :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: I had no clue what that was.

Aw, how great!! What a sweet momma you have.

I'm ready for this trip too.:goodvibes
We all seem to be ready now! Maybe we should just bump the trip dates up! :lmao:

You clearly do not have the same aversion to flying that I do. :sad2: I am a very nervous flier. I hate it.
Good luck on the work schedule! Get as much rest as you can.

Thanks for the info, Jack. Good to know. ::yes::

No kidding, right?? :rotfl:
By the way, we had pizza last night. I am soooo tired of cooking.

I'm glad to hear your leg is doing much better. :)

I have never had an issue with flying.. my first time I was like 20 and flying from WI to WDW. Maybe that is the reason??? :lmao: Everything is better when Disney is involved!

I will admit, I don't think even flying to Disney would make me OK with it!! I never want to step foot on a plane again. And if I do, I will be medicated starting 6+ hours prior to takeoff.

Yep. Quite a few times. I actually didn't mind it as a kid. I flew with my grandmother to Washington a few times. This was ages ago and once they told a flight attendant that I was nervous to fly and I got to sit in one of the pilots chairs. I've also flown to Florida, Texas and Colorado a few times each. My anxiety just got worse each time and ever since I started having my panic attacks it's just not happening. Flew out to Colorado not long after my first one and the ER visit and had a full blown attack during the flight and I never want to go through that again. I flew out to Texas a couple summers ago and was medicated - even got my the dosage upped and started taking it the second I wokr up that morning (it was an afternoon flight). Even with all that I still wouldn't want to do it again if I don't have to. Flying terrifies me. And most of all is the thought of having another attack as bad as the one that landed me in the ER.

 I can see not wanting to have another attack. I can understand the fear. I think if I over think the whole thing I could work myself up but I try and not do that.
