I would specifically PM them, and ask if they are interested in the shirt. Letting them know when everyone plans on wearing them, and whatnot. Some folks might have signed up for the tour, and just havent checked in for a while. Give a few days, and if you dont hear back... Oh well!

Yeah! I still think you should PM them again. At least they will not have the chance to say "I didn't know" or something like that.

Beth: I probably wouldn't do it for a group . . . I did it one night when I was there alone because #1 there was no way this girl was getting up and down off the ground with my knees, and #2 I had just broken up (again) with DBF and wanted a treat. I would NOT pay for this for a group--I did see a husband and wife next to me and it looked like kinda a fun thing to do with your honey . . . . kinda special . . . . but honestly am not sure I would do with DBF even now that we're back together! I decided to do the Wine Festival tasting thing because I think it's at the same place/area and you get unlimited hors d'ouvres and wine tasting so I thought that made it more worth it.

But keep in mind--and I know some people will be shocked--but I didn't think the premium seating for Fantasmic was worth it either . . . . I just didn't see what the hoop-dee-doo was about that show . . . but maybe being in the second row I just didn't totally appreciate it. I really enjoyed the whole Electrical Parade experience more and if forced to choose one to do would choose that again over Fantasmic.

I can see how in your case it would be worth it. For a group, or large family like mine, it ain't happening.

Capri, I would definitely PM those who you haven't heard from and say this is just a small reminder about the tees, and that you'll be placing the order on such and such day.
Then if they don't order that's their choice. It's up to each person to take control of their trip and make sure they are ordering what they want when they are supposed to and checking to learn of any updates. kwim?

I think Callie (DangerMouse) and her friend Ellen want to do the Wine Reception for $55 too, but she said she wasn't going to confirm anything yet until this next week. She's figuring out her trip budget.

I was going to do it with my friend Cathy (she loves wine tastings), but she's probably leaving for the day on Saturday, so I'm planning to do the HOB dinner, and then head over to DCA with the ladies after dinner to watch the Electrical Parade. However, if it turns out Cathy will be staying on Saturday, she would probably want to do the wine reception.

Either way, I can get wine with food, and that's what matters!

I booked the Wine & Appetizer event for Sat ($55). I did it last year (it was $45 then) and really loved it. DD is joining me - for those of you that don't know, she works at DL and requested a day shift for that day so she can come. I hope a lot of you come, too. And the HOB group was talking about coming to watch the EP after dinner, so maybe we'll all kind of be together. Anyway, I guess I need to remove myself from the HOB confirmation list since I will be in DCA! I PM'ed Lesley about the VIP tour Friday, I am really hoping to do it and enjoy the Wine tasting and EP Sat. Have we firmed anything up for Sunday yet?

I made a reservation as well for Saturday night for the Festival Wine thing . . . if it's in the same place I did the premium seating then there are spots on the parade right in front of the winery and we could be right behind and above the gals who go to HOB first . . .

Well ladies . . . back from a day trip to DL! It was a very fun day . .. started with breakfast at Club 33 -- always very special.

The college students (all Moms except for one Dad and their kids--with the board members/college administrators there were 65 of us) had breakfast and then they were off for the day. The other board members and community college administrators I hung with are a trip. . . one in particular--she's 68 and I had NO idea--she was having so much fun . . . she had not been to DL in 15 years! I have never heard anyone laugh that much in one day . . . .

we rode Pirates with one of the Mom/Students and her 8-year old daughter (because the little girl wanted to do her first ride with us), then booked over to DCA and the Visa Card member meet and greet (except Chip and Dale were VERY upset that one of my friends called him a "squirrel"!). then Soarin, and It's Tough to Be a Bug. Then a couple of ladies had to leave, and we came back to DL, took the train around to NOS and went to ride Indiana Jones (we had gotten fastpasses earlier)! Ok so I finally did it (but thank heavens for fastpasses!) but I have to tell you I think it was way too bumpy for me . . . but visually stunning I have to admit . . . probably in some ways even better than Pirates. I was sitting on the end and holding on for dear life!

We then stopped on Main Street and got a quick bit to eat (it was 1:30 by now) and watched the Dapper Dans, then left because it was starting to rain . . . (of course, then it stopped and hasn't rained since). so a very fun day but I am TIRED!

Toocherie.. So glad you finally rode Indiana. I think the back row of those kind of rides are more bumpy. I find Dinosaur like that but of course since I am normally riding it alone I almost always get the back row. I can't wait to try it out. I was so jealous when it first opened in DL and WDW didn't get it.

I'll try to remember to wave at all you guys doing the F&W on Saturday night as I walk by. If I liked wine that would be the event I would pick. Think we can talk them into a Beer and Pretzel tasting. I could handle tiny shots of beer and pretzels!! (hand rolled, fresh pretzels...yum)

A group of ladies is still going to Minnie's for breakfast on Sunday at 9:45. Other than that, I don't think anything specific is going on. We've talked about figuring out dinner that night for those who are around....but nothing has come of it. I've offered to bring stuff for tacos and we could eat back at the hotel. I'm very flexible. If things haven't improved much before then, it will have to be a much more budget trip than I had anticipated.

Well I have had a heck of a week. On Thursday I had to take DH into the ER for emergency surgery to remove his gall bladder. He had a one inch stone in the neck of it and was in a ton of pain.

I also had a job interview last week - and - I GOT THE JOB!

But what this all means is - I won't be able to go on this trip.

I can't even imagine how much the surgery will cost us even after insurance and I won't have any vacation time accrued. I am so sad because I was so looking forward to this trip. But maybe I will be able to go next year.

Have a blast and have a margarita for me!

What a good news--bad news message! But happy that DH is ok (I had gallstones--not fun) -- and great news about the job

Maybe if we do this again next year you will have some time accrued and can come then . . . and we'd be happy to have a margarita in your honor (at least I would!)
