Hey, I can add your name to the front page if you like. Just let me know. :thumbsup2
Do you think you can make it the whole time?? :yay:

Yes, please add my name. I'm shooting for the entire time. Will have to work some things out. If not, Thurs - Saturday. I might pop back up Sunday or Monday though.

One of my dhs friends stayed there, and he said it was fine. There were 6 adults, and they had plenty of room. Very basic breakfast, but hey... it was food, and it was free!
Thanks for that info. It seems like a place I might keep in mind for the future.

Cool!! I'll add you now. :thumbsup2

(Oh, do you want your real name in there too? If so, just let me know what it is. I see you have something in your sig, but can't tell if it's a name or not. For some reason my computer shows a red X. :confused3 )

Good morning, ladies!

Thank you for posting the list, Lesley!
And thanks to Capri and Lorealle for the Hojo info.:thumbsup2

So, Am I correct in thinnking most everyone will be heading over to HoJo's? Didn't want to switch resies and then have most people decide to stay at CCI! I'll have to ck with my roomie, but cheaper is better, as far as I'm concerned, as long as it's not a dive, which HoJo's isn't from what I hear (I've never been there.)

Good morning ladies!

Ok, I've had my morning coffee and my oat bran muffin (thank's staley!) and all the sour grapes are gone.

Lorealle is now my new favorite person at the HoJo (:listen: hear that Willie??) :lmao:

Ok, so NOW all the sour grapes are gone. ;)

I can't tell you guys how excited I am about the VIP tour. I never ever thought I would be able to do one of these. It's almost better than Club 33 for me.

I gotta get my kids started on school this morning, but I'll check back in later for more updates!

Ah, don't be too hard on Willie. He is, afterall, the guy who gave the go-ahead on a group rate for us. He was just playing hard to get is all.;)

And I'm with you about the VIP tour!!! Something that a person just usually never gets a chance to do. It's going to be AWESOME!

I think since it's cheaper and most people seem to like the HoJo then that's probably where everyone will end up. That's my guess anyways.

I'm going to call later and make a reservation, but....... I think I'm going to hang onto my CCI reservation until I absolutely have to cancel it, just in case. :rolleyes1

I don't know. It's silly, but I was really curious to stay there so maybe if I win the lotto or something I will. Oh wait, if I win the lotto I'll be at GCH!! :lmao:

I guess my only concern with HoJo is that I've read that it's pretty far from the park. That won't matter in the morning when we are all fresh, but what about after a full day of walking?
And someone mentioned that it's not lit very well, so I'm concerned about walking around after dark.

I just want to be safe and not walking miles to our hotel in the dark, kwim? :confused3 But I've never stayed there, so I don't know......

I'm really curious about Desert Inn now too after finding it online last night. The reviews aren't bad, they all say it's a clean place, just no frills. And it's supposed to be right across from the park. Plus they have fridges, microwaves and are only $5 more a night.
Actually with AAA they might be the same or less.....

UGH. Can you tell I don't know what I am doing now???? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: At this rate I'll end up with reservations at every hotel within walking distance of Disneyland and toss a coin just before the trip.

Beth, the HoJo is actually closer to the DLR entrance than CCI. It's only a few steps closer, but closer nonetheless.

Have you ever seen this link that shows the actual walking distances between hotels and the esplanade?

It does feel a bit far at the end of the night, but just getting myself out to the tram area is difficult after I've done a full day in the parks. I have always found the parking lots are very well lit and I have never had a problem with the walk. Hope that eases some of your fears.

Sounds like Willie better watch out......

:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I've got Parent/Teacher conferences today for my two little ones so I've got to get ready for that pretty soon.
Have a good day. See you later!

 I wasn't too sure about the VIP tour at first because I'd never really thought of it before. But now you're all getting me excited to try it.

I'm hoping that more of the ladies check in and see the updates about the hotel and the tour. We don't want anyone to miss out on anything. :yay:

No, I haven't seen that link! Thanks Callie. I will check it out. :thumbsup2

And now that I think about it, I guess the hotel can't be much further then the crappy, really FAR AWAY parking spots we've had sometimes where it feels like you are walking through the parking structure forever!!! :rotfl:

That's a great for HOJO :thumbsup2 .

As long as my roomie doesn't mind switching, I think we'll move to HOJO since it sounds like most of the group is moving & we want to be wherever the group is :grouphug: .

OK as long as were talking about other hotels, how about the BWPPI? It is right across the street, and I think it comes with a big breakfast. We stayed there about 3 years ago, and thought it is was just fine.

Who has stayed there lately??

I've never stayed at that one but I stayed at the BW Inn and Mini Suites a few years ago. I always tend to stay at BW's when I travel.

I stayed at the BWPPI about 6 years ago. It was just a basic room with two beds, a TV, microwave and I *think* there was a refrigerator. I have only stayed offsite twice and the other hotel was the Camelot Inn on Harbor and I thought it was a lot nicer than BWPPI. I don't recall a breakfast but it was a long time ago. I will say that the location was EXCELLENT!

Beth, I have never stayed at HOJO's but it really is not that far of a walk. I have seen pics online and read reviews and it seems like a great place to stay! I am really looking forward to trying it out.

OK, I just got off the phone with BWPPI, and their prices were about the same as CCI. It's convenient, but the price is not the best compared to HoJos.

I think I will do the same as most of you, and keep my CCI ressies too, just in case we change our minds.

Just tried to make my ressie with Lorealle, but I got her voice-mail. Hopefully I will hear back from her soon!

I'm switching over to HOJO (which probably isn't a big surprise to everyone).:goodvibes

I'm sorry, but after the runaround by Nick (manager of somekind at the CCI), and his simple lack of courtesy to even make a return call to Beth, and the strict stipulation put on us to even get a group rate (15 rooms = group rate; 14 rooms = sorry, too bad, so sad, no group rate for you), I really have no problem cancelling my reservation at the CCI.

On the other hand, the HOJO cares about us and it's customers. Through the years someone from the HOJO has been on the boards to respond to any questions or concerns. I've also seen them respond on Tripadvisor. I didn't even ask Lorealle to do this. She did it all on her own (being the thoughful person she is) and asked Willie if they could offer us a group rate for our trip. And there wasn't any "minimum number of rooms must be booked" for us to get the $74 rate. If only one of us stay there, or if all of us stay there, the rate is $74.:thumbsup2

Plus, it's going to save me and my friend about $150 ($75 each). So we'll make coffee in the room (free), we'll buy some muffins, bananas, juice ($10). The left over savings of $140 ($70 each) will go towards our VIP tour ($30 each), and that leaves $40 each to spend on lunch at the BB and a few snacks in the parks.:thumbsup2
