Hey January - those are great pics! Your DD is just adorable. My DS10's favorite characters are Chip and Dale. I need to make sure I get some new C&D pins for him while I am at DL.

Aw, thanks!
That is a great idea! I may get my DD a set of Chip n Dale plushies. :goodvibes

January ~ Your daughter is precious :lovestruc . Did Minnie sign her hat? I remember when my DD was younger Minnie signed her pink minnie ears instead of her autograph book. I thought it was cute & I still have the ears she signed.

Callie ~ I'm also a coaster lover. Well I like any kind of thrill rides. Do you also like TOT or just coasters?

Beth ~ I don't mind volunteering to set up a tour or dining arrangements. So when we get closer to the dates when we can call to make ressies for events, I'm available. I'm thinking I can do Yamabuki and the Walt Tour.

Also, about what time was the group thinking of doing Blue Bayou on Friday? I know the plan says early lunch, but how early?

I'm thinking of only working a half day on Friday so I don't miss out on too much of the fun :cheer2: .

Beth ~ I think Goofy's Kitchen is definately the best bet for a character meal. Especially outside of the parks. They usually have the best arrange of characters (both face & costume) & the atmosphere is more party like.

I've eaten at GK several times since my DD was only 10 months old and I only had one experience that wasn't great.

I don't get to do character meals that often anymore, because my kids are only interested in rare characters now. It's sad to say, but after meeting most characters hundreds of times, they don't get that thrill of meeting them anymore :guilty: . I made the mistake of making a reservation for Crystal Palace during our WDW trip in November. My DD said to me "Could you ask the characters to stop coming to our table, I'm trying to eat & they are interupting me" :scared1: . Does anyone have some younger kids I can adopt :rotfl: .

Just for fun, here are a couple pictures of one time we ate at Goofy's and my DD fell asleep (it was a long day). They actually refunded me the money for her since she didn't eat much :thumbsup2 .

Thanks! The hat has the signature embroidered on the front. That is so cool that your DD got her ears signed.:goodvibes

Thanks for sharing the pictures! That is great that GK refunded your money.:thumbsup2

I am all done cleaning and I am bored. I hope you all don't mind if I share some pics from our last trip to DL.

My DB

The park was not that busy. I was surprised since it was August. But it was HOTTTT! It was a memorable trip to DL ---- we saw David Hasselhoff.:thumbsup2 Sorry, no picture.

Thanks for letting me share.:flower3:
Awww, share away!! I love seeing pics! And your DD is just too cute. :goodvibes

I have to say, that pic above really surprised me at how empty it looks in the background. Every time I go, that area is always packed and you can barely walk through there. :headache:
Maybe we should start going in August instead of trying to go "off season".

Morning All!

I personally want to do everything I can. I am way into Goofy's Kitchen and BB and I'd love to do the Segway Tour. Since I never, ever get to see the fireworks I'd love to that too. I am also a ride junkie so I really want to spend lots of time doing in the parks - I have never been to CA - so I really want to ride Screamin. Whew! Maybe I should add on another day! :rotfl:
LOL That's what I was thinking!! I don't have enough time to do all the things I want to do, between the rides, the food, the shopping, the Food and Wine Festival, and the tours!! :rotfl:

Ah well, I'll have to save some things for the next Girls Only Trip I guess. ;)

Oh, we definitely want you there!!

I put an early lunch because I figured we won't be eating much for breakfast, just grab something at the hotel. And if we eat an early lunch we'll be ready for a nice dinner.
Plus I heard that the earlier you make a reservation for, the better chance you have of getting a water side table. So I hear. I can't remember since it's been like 14 years or more since I've eaten there! LOL

But having said that, I really want you to be able to make it with us!!! :yay: What time do you realistically think you could be there? :confused3

Well, that's good to hear about GK! Hopefully we'll get lucky and have a great time. :wizard:

Those pics of your DD are too cute!!! Poor dear, she must have been really tuckered out. :goodvibes That was nice of them to refund your money like that. :)

It is true that if you make the 11:30 reservation and are one of the first to check in, you'll get a water table. It's always worked for me :thumbsup2 . However, the tables right up front only seat up to 4 people. I think they have one that sits up to six. The next row of tables sit the bigger groups, but they still have good view.

I only work 20 minutes from DL, but once I park and get into the park, that'll take another 30 minutes. I don't want everyone to schedule their lunch around me, so just make it for 11:30 and I'll work extra hard that day to get there on time :goodvibes .

For those that are thinking about a tour, the VIP tour might be a good option. It is $300 for 4 hours and up to 10 people can book ($30 per person). Along with the tour, they can arrange special seating for parades and fireworks and fantasmic (if they are showing). A ride on the Lilly Belle can be arranged too.

I would be happy to set this up if there is interest.

Oooooh! Sign me up! I completely forgot about the VIP tour. I definitely want to do that. I'll check with Ellen as well. Thanks so much for reminding us! Is there anyway we could do the tour on Friday? I undersand that they will arrange special treatment on subsequent days you are visiting as well. Oooooh, I think I'm more excited about this than any other thing! THANK YOU!!! :worship:

Oh my this sounds great. Sign me up! Maybe for my Sister too!

Thanks Tink!:goodvibes

Tink33,
Count me in:thumbsup2 . Even if we don't get that many people and it costs more, I am in. Honestly, because DD works there, I ride the rides and visit so often and don't have patience to wait for anything. I have always wanted to sign up for a VIP tour. Can't we get reserved fireworks seating? That is the most coveted perk to me;) . Thanks for offering to do it!

is there still room??

Me too! Me Too!!!!:worship: :worship: Thank you so much for arranging this!

I've always wanted to look like one of the big shots following the VIP CMs in their spiffy uniforms, though they have changed them.. not nearly as short and sassy as before LOL

Ooooh, now this VIP tour sounds promising! Please, can someone explain to me what exactly happens on a VIP tour?

Lesley~ Count me in if you still have room for one more :thumbsup2 . Thank you for thinking of this :thumbsup2 You are so wise  ;) . I'll only be there Friday through Sunday, so if it's on one of these days, I definately want to do it.

Since the tour is 4 hours, do you need to book a late afternoon/evening tour to get special seating for the fireworks or Fantasmic?

:cloud9: ,
Katie

Add me in for the VIP tour if it is Friday or Thursday for that matter!!!!!
Sounds amazing!!! Amy

Lesley, if there's room I'd love to do the VIP tour. I've done the Segway, and some of the others, but this would be a fun new experience. :)
