I have also been thinking about the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour. I may try it out before I leave on Sunday. Is anyone else thinking about trying this out? Who knows, I may book the Fantasmic Dessert thingy instead. It is too expensive for me to pay for my family to do it when we go next time. Especially since my DH can take it or leave it. He thinks it is a waste. So, now I am thinking....:scratchin

I just realized I am not even going to be around on Sunday night.:headache: So my opinion doesn't count.

I have been looking at some places....Storytellers, Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe. They all look yummy and the pics of some of the food at these places is making me VERY hungry! popcorn::

What's up, Beth?
Oh no! That's right. :sad1:

Well, that won't do at all!! I'm going to hold you prisoner and won't let you leave. At least not until after dinner. :rotfl:

Last trip we ate at Carnation Cafe and we liked it alot. Ruben (DH) got the turkey pot pie and he really liked it. That's huge because he's usually a strictly counter service kind of guy, LOL. But he admitted it was good and worth trying.
And the kids had the Peanut Butter Palette or something like that. They had fun making their sandwiches using the raisins, marshmellows, etc.

We used the discount from my pass and I think our total was around $54 or so. Not bad for a family of 6. :thumbsup2

Ah, decisions, decisions. LOL

I am going to do the tour if Ruben and I don't do it this month. We are supposed to do it on the 26th/27th of this month but it's all up to my MIL if she'll watch the kids. So it's still up in the air.

But I really want to do it. You get a discount with AAA and it includes a lunch, so the price isn't all that bad.

I totally forgot about the Fantasmic Dessert thing!! Geez, we don't have enough days to fit it all in.

I might have to save that for the second Girls Only Trip. ;)

Being prisoner at DL can't be bad....I mean, you can lock me up with Capt Jack on the POTC and I will be just fine.:rolleyes1

I am all up for Carnation Cafe. The menu prices are great too!

You all must have liked that Tour to do it again!:thumbsup2 It looks like a good last thing for me to do before I leave late Sun afternoon.

LOL True, although I think it would be creepy to be alone in POTC after hours!! :scared1: :scared1:

DH and DS are watching the POTC At World's End movie right now and I just can't seem to get into it. :confused3 Then again, I was like that with the other two as well, and once I finally watched them, I like them.

Well, we haven't done it yet. :rotfl: I'm hoping to do it for the first time this month, but we'll see.

IF we don't, then for sure I want to do it in April. :thumbsup2

I read the weekly micechat meet-up trip reports, and they have indicated that Cheesecake Factory is walkable. In fact, if this trip were to go to CF on a Sunday, it might very well be a meeting of the meet-ups, LOL, if they choose to go to CF that day.

I'm now picturing a micechat vs dis confrontation a la West Side Story...can you hear the whistle like I'm hearing it now?:rotfl:

I thought you all did it a while back....maybe I am thinking of someone else. I confuse easily.:rotfl:

:rotfl: Ooooh a rumble! :rotfl:

I did some research. Entered in the address for CCI and for Cheesecake Factory, and it says it's 0.48 miles.

1: Start out going SOUTH on S HARBOR BLVD toward W KATELLA AVE. for 0.1 miles

2: Turn LEFT onto W KATELLA AVE. for 0.3 miles

3: Make a U-TURN at S CLEMENTINE ST onto W KATELLA AVE. for <0.1 miles

4: End at 321 W Katella Ave
Anaheim, CA 92802-3605, US

Total Est. Distance: 0.48 miles

It might not be bad walking there. Depending on when we go, it should still be light out.

But walking back, it will be dark and we'll all be stuffed!! :rotfl2: That might make it more challenging. ;)

ETA: Is there a shuttle or bus we could take back?

Nope. I've been talking about it since we got our passes in October though, so that's probably why you'd thought we'd done it by now. LOL

OMG, I made the huge mistake of looking at the Disneyland dining picture thread and now I am practically drooling!!!

Everything looks so good!

I really need to get my butt in gear and get some stuff done around here though, so I hope you all have a good day and I'll talk to ya later.

Has anyone eaten at the ESPN Zone?

Not to make it any more confusing, lol, but I was just thinking, if Cheesecake Factory or California Pizza Kitchen don't work out, would either ESPN Zone or the Rainforest Cafe be fun, good places to eat?

I've been to RFC but not ESPN. :confused3

My family has never eaten at ESPN - it's always so flippin' BUSY there!!! Everytime we've walked in, it's like wall to wall people (and we are always there during the low season.
(However, we've never made ADRs there. I suppose if we had, we would have gotten a table. I think it gets fairly decent reviews for their food.)

We've eaten many many times at the Rainforest cafe, and I have to say we've never had a bad meal there, and we've always had a great time. It's not gormet food or anything, but it's GOOD food, if you know what I mean.:thumbsup2

I love the Rainforest Cafe. We've never had a bad experience there. I haven't tried the ESPN Zone but would like to.

Hmmm, if ESPN is that busy and probably loud, then maybe it's not such a great choice.... :confused3 I've never eaten there, but the one time we did walk around in there, I do recall it being packed.

Maybe we should just decide between Cheesecake Factory, CPK, and Rainforest Cafe. I'd be happy with any of those choices. :thumbsup2

Happy Sunday everyone! For a New Year's Resolution, I promised my family I would cut down my time on the computer. :surfweb: :scared1: So you won't be seeing near as much of me. However, I am allowed 30 min each morning and 30 min each night on the Disboards, so I'll still check in as much as possible.

Callie, if you have a link or poll that you'd like me to add to the first post, with some of the latest designs, just post it again for me and I'll add that too. Thanks.

Beth, there really isn't a poll anymore, just a choice of two shirts on this post:

What? No one wants to have sushi with me at Yambuki? :confused3 ;)

Happy Sunday. I am taking 3 teenage girls to Disneyland today in the rain. Wish me luck.

Good luck, Tink! I know you will have a great time, because everytime I have been to Disneyland with you, I have had a blast. With your sunny disposition (even in the rain) you can't help but have a good time, and those with you will have a great time too.

And DangerMouse, I'd love to go to Yambuki with you. I've never been there and I love Japanese food. Where and when??
