Well I'm glad to hear that we finally heard from Nick. Its a shame though that he isn't exactly living up to his word.
Thats okay though! I don't mind booking seperately. It might even be easier with everyone arriving on different dates and etc. I'm staying optimistic!

Good morning ladies! Hopefully by now most of you have seen this latest update. Even though it's not exactly what we were hoping for, or what I was told , I'm still really excited!
I think booking seperately will be easier simply because we won't have to go into panic mode if someone cancels or we don't get that other room to make 15.

I hope everyone is ok with that. I still think the CCI looks like a nice place and that it would be fun to all stay together at the same hotel.

So if you haven't already booked there, and you want to, then go ahead. There's nothing more to wait for now. And I'll add that info to the first post.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure how I feel about the CCI now, other than Nick annoys me, the barnacle head!. I could call him something else, Nick the ______. (You fill in the blank.)

I have a problem contributing to his paycheck. I'm not sure if I want to do that.

The ONLY reason I'd stay there now is because you guys will be there, and I want to be where the party is with all the cool DisBoarder Gals!

Is anyone staying someplace other than the CCI?

I'm going to hold off booking my room for now and wait and see if I can find a roommate. If I end up staying by myself, I'd rather Priceline a room and save some money. I'll have a car so if there are any gatherings at the CCI, it'll be easy for me to meet up with everyone.

Like you, I wanted to stay where the group was, but now I may stay elsewhere if I don't find a roommate staying at CCI.

If I don't find a roommate, I'll either use Priceline for a room or use some of my DVC points to stay onsite.

Like I said before, I'll have my car so I can meet up with everyone at CCI if a party is going on . If you end up staying somewhere else, I'll be happy to pick you up or drop you off at your room after the CCI get togethers .

Hi Capri. I totally understand how you feel. Believe me I felt the same way. I was ready to tell him forget it right then and there, but figured I'd better check with everyone first.

Anyways, while dealing with him not returning the phone calls and the misinformation has been frustrating, everyone else I've dealt with has been really nice.

The lady who took my reservation couldn't have been friendlier. Some places I've called make you feel like you are bothering them when you call. I didn't get that from her at all.
So for myself, and since my roomie agrees, I think we'll stick with the Candy Cane Inn. At least I can finally say I've tried it. LOL

Now I'm certainly not trying to convince anyone else to stay there. That's a personal choice and I just want everyone to have a nice time. That's all that matters in the end right??

So if there are some who'd rather not book there because of this, I totally understand and we'll still have a blast even if we are more spread out.

Besides, I'm ready to be done with this part of the planning and move onto something more fun!!

First - what day? I was thinking Saturday afternoon, but maybe more of us will be there on Friday evening?

Second - where? I'm thinking in front of the Castle (of course). But maybe some of you have other great and cooler ideas.

Third - group shirt? I'm not sure what all of you think about wearing matching group t-shirts. Would anyone be interested in doing this (I know some people have a "thing" with wearing matching shirts. ), and would you be willing to pay for one ($20 or less)?

I love the idea of a group photo! I'll be there the whole time, so anytime is fine with me. And I think in front of the castle would be really nice.

I'd do a matching tee too and $20 is fine, or even a little more if I know ahead of time. The only request I'd have on the tees is that they come in a wide range of sizes. (I'll need the widest of all!!)

We actually talked about the idea of tshirts earlier. I suggested Zazzle, we could pick out a picture and then each order whatever kind of shirt/cami/sweatshirt that we want, in a wide variety of colors.

Someone else said she wanted to make a tshirt design. The slogan she came up with was "Girls Gone Disney". I kinda like the idea. Maybe even "DIS Girls Gone Disney". Not sure how we would go about ordering them up if someone does it, but if someone wants to take it on, I'm all for it. I think it would be a great Sat. thing.

Also, I think the largest amount of people will be there Sat night won't they? Wasn't that one of the reasons we talked about doing DtD on Friday night, in case people were there but not going into the parks? We could take multiple group shots, too. One at Goofy's, one in DtD, etc.

What do you all think about going in on a photopass? If we all did it, I think the cost would be less than $10 per person!

Hi Michelle. I remember the tee shirt talk before and the slogan. I think it's cute.

I don't mind where they are made. I'll admit, I know nothing about that, so certainly if someone who's had them made before wants to head that up, that would be great.

As far as the number of people, we originally had DTD on Friday, but it was then suggested to move it to Thursday. Reason being if someone comes in on Thursday evening, without an AP, they probably won't want to use a day on their hopper to go into a park for a dinner.

So we switched the DTD dinner to Thursday night, so those without APs can still join the group for a meal.

I don't have everyone's exact dates, and some still weren't sure at this point, but from what I can recall, it did seem like most would be there by Friday. Not sure if all those were planning to do a park, but it seemed like they were.

What I can do, if it will help, is have people PM me with their dates and whether or not they are AP holders. That might give us a better idea of what's what.

Hello everyone!

I think the group t-shirts are a great idea. I've used Zazzle before to order the kids and I matching t-shirts. There have a great selection of t-shirt sizes and styles. I personally don't like t-shirts, but I do like baby doll t-shirts and that is one of their style options.

The thing with Zazzle is if you choose one of their character pictures, you can't add your own saying. They give you a list of quotations that are relevant to the character you chose .

If you upload your own photo, then you can add your own quotation. If we can all agree on a photo to upload, then we can add the "Girls Gone Disney" slogan.

We're going to Disneyland in a little while & we're staying the night at the Paradise Pier concierge level. I've never stayed on the concierge level at one of the Disney hotels, so I hope it's nice .

I think a group picture is a great idea, however any APer's will have to pay a block out fee to get into the parks on Saturday (unless they have a Premium AP) I will probably not buy a blockout ticket for Saturday. I just renewed my AP, and got the Deluxe.

If I were to get a block out ticket, it would probably be because of a food and wine event at DCA that I would want to attend that day/night. Other than that, I will probably do some non-park things on Saturday.

Well, I was up all night with another sick child. It's slowly making it's way through our family. So far 3 out of our family of 6 has had it.

We are supposed to leave for Disney this Friday but I'm not making any plans or doing any packing until the last minute just in case someone is sick at that time.

Anyways, I've got some errands to run and then I'll probably try to get some rest when I got home since I didn't get much last night.

Here's a basic T-shirt design I was messing around with today. We could do it on any style T-shirt, or in any color. I have a picture and slogan on front, and our DisBoard names (or real names) can go on the back, if that's what everyone wants to do.

Someone may come up with some really FUN/CREATIVE design and slogan that can be uploaded. I just wanted to give everyone an idea of what can be done.
