Hello ladies! Sorry I haven't posted here for awhile, but my life has had MANY life changing issues this past week :scared:.

I just wanted to pop in and say that I did make the Blue Bayou ressie for 4/25 @ 11:50am (this was the earliest they could get for a large group) so I hope the time works for everyone :) .

Capri~ Sorry to hear about your accident and I'll send prayers and pixie dust your way for a speedy recovery :wizard: .

Thanks for making the ressie. We'll all just show up at opening and smile sweetly until they let us all in along the water. Did they make it one big "table" or did they break it into a few ADR confirmations of smaller tables? (Not that I care one way or the other)

We'll just have to tell the server we have to be out of there before 2pm so we can make the VIP tour. I think I remember reading Lesley did the VIP tour for 2pm, didn't she??? We'll just all have to be ready with what we want and order it as soon as we sit down. ;)

happy friday ladies! :goodvibes

this weekend, my mom & stepdad are coming to my place for dinner for the first time since i moved- and im nervous! ive got a lot of cleaning and straightening up to do tonight and tomorrow morning! [bites nails]

Hope you have a great dinner! Don't be nervous....I'm sure everything will be great. If all else fails, just keep filling up their wine glasses.

Hi Katie.

I was wondering where you've been lately. I hope everything in okay! You have me worried about you, girl!

Thanks so much for taking care of the BB ressie for us. I think it's going to be great and I'm really looking forward to eating there, relaxed and enjoying the ambiance, without having to entertain the kids for an hour and cutting up their food in bite size pieces.:goodvibes

Thanks for the pixie dust and prayers for a speedy recovery! I'm feeling much better, and even walking much better.:thumbsup2 The only bad part is that all my bruises are turing color.....so I went from the "blue blob" to the nasty looking "yellow blob". My hubby says he's gonna have to wear his sunglasses around me to keep my bright, yellow glow from hurting his eyes.

I hope all is okay. Thanks for making the reservation. The later time gives me an excuse to have an ice cream mickey sandwich as a morning snack....:cool1:

Callie and Stacie-

Man am I glad it is the weekend, what a long week it was. Work was very draining this week.

I made reservations for Ellen and I today for the wine tasting. We're excited about it. It's the only "meal" we're doing with the group, so we're hoping it will be a good one. :thumbsup2

Great--I haven't attended this but from all accounts it is very nice . . . .

so I had quite a Friday night--in the emergency room with my Mom! We're still trying to figure out what exactly is wrong . . . she has lots of medical issues and is having fever and swelling . . . . so it was a late night and I'm getting a late start this morning--will be heading to the hospital and then (hopefully) still making my Disney Dream Suite Tour tonight (at 11 p.m.!)

Talk to you guys later!

Cheryl

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. I hope they can figure it out soon so she can start feeling better.

And I hope you are still able to make your tour as I know how much you were looking forward to that. :wizard:

Okay for those who wanted it, here is the recipe finally!!! LOL Like I said, I'm not much of a bread pudding fan, but everytime I make this people ask me for the recipe or to make it again.

It's easy to me, but one lady I gave the recipe to said she could never make it turn out like mine does. :confused3 Weird since I just follow the directions and don't make any changes. LOL

Disney's Contemporary Resort Bread Pudding
Ladies Home Journal March 1998 - Disney's Contemporary Resort, Orlando, FL

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar, divided
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 day-old challah bread or other egg
bread (cut into 1/2-inch cubes)
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/3 cup raisins
8 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 quart half-and-half
1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
Whipped cream (optional)

Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.

Combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in cup.

Toss bread, melted butter, raisins and cinnamon-sugar mixture in large bowl to coat. Spread in prepared pan.

Whisk eggs lightly in large bowl. Bring cream, remaining 1 cup sugar and vanilla bean to boil in medium saucepan. Carefully remove vanilla bean; cool slightly. Scrape seeds from bean with small spoon. Stir seeds into cream mixture. Discard bean. Gradually whisk cream mixture into eggs; pour over bread. Place dish in large roasting pan. Add enough hot water to come halfway up side of baking dish. Bake pudding 35 to 40 minutes, until custard is set and top is golden brown. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature, with whipped cream, if desired.

Servings: 12

Glad it's nice and warm there--it's cold and misty here--NOT what I wanted for the evening trip to Disneyland but I guess better than nothing! (Of course, this also gave me the excuse to run out and buy additional clothes after I left home because it was too cold . . . . leaving in an hour and a half from my office!)

I hope you all had a nice day today. Mine wasn't too bad. It's extremely windy here today (still is now). My kids are still getting over their colds and I just felt eh (you know what I mean). Oh well talk to you all this coming week.
