Has anyone attended the Perfectly Princess Tea Party at GF? It looks like something my daughter and I would enjoy but I haven't heard much about it. Any reviews would be great. Thx.

My DD(she was 4 at the time) and I did this in 2006. We really enjoyed it. The only disappointment was the limited amount of time with Sleeping Beauty. The main character was Rose Petal. She told a very cute story and had a great singing voice. It is very interactive. I did see several older girls there as well and all seemed to be enjoying themselves.

My mother, DD(4 at the time), and I did this last year. We liked it. Rose petal was fantastic. The gifts for the girls were nice too. We thought the food was terrible. Not at all like the afternoon tea. DD didn't even like the cake. Had a good time beside that though.

My mom, DD5 and I did it in December. We loved it, she had a great time and still talks about it!

I've done it too! It's wonderful. I went when my DD was 4 as well. She dressed up like Sleeping Beauty and got a gorgeous doll who was also dressed as Sleeping Beauty.. and we got lots of interaction and stuff.

I wasn't crazy for the food either, but the cheese and fruit and cake were good, and so was the tea. They served it all on beautiful china and even put the girls' apple juice into a tea pot, and poured it into the pretty china cups.

I was as delighted by it all as she was. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I could afford it. Princess Aurora came over and spent some time with each girl, and she sang "Once Upon a Dream" with my DD when she was visiting with her! What a thrill.

I can't say enough about it!

Oh and a picture of the doll too...thank you!! (BTW; Your little one is too cute.)Now I'm excited. This is really pricey so I wanted to be sure this is something to really rave about. I thought it would be fun for us to escape the boys one day and have girl time. My Daughter loves tea parties so I'm sure she'll love this. Thanks to all that responded! :thumbsup2

Thank you!

I am so glad we just happened to have a little extra money on that trip, because I don't think I'll ever be able to afford that again. (We'd had one person back out of the trip that year at the last minute, and we were all paid up to stay at the GF, but when she backed out at the last minute, my friend and I weren't able to cover the cost difference, so we went to All Star Movies instead, and got a huge refund, that we used as spending money on the trip. Otherwise, just going to Disney wipes me out financially, so I'd never be able to part with two hundred dollars for a 90 minute tea!)

But as it happened, I'm so glad it worked out that way. It was unforgettable. My DD still talks about it too. It was a pleasure.

I hope you have as memorable a time as we did, and I'd sure love to hear about it when you get back!

We want to do this for dd's 5th birthday this year. We will also have our 7year old with us. It works out really expensive though for us with the exchange rate. As at today its $705AUD for the four of us. Do many Dads go? My DH really wants to go and see the girls experience this but I wasn't sure if it was something that Dads go to. I also read that the tea included Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches. This is not really something we eat here and my kids wont have a bar of them. Are there any other options for the kids to eat - any other type of sandwiches? I'd hate for them to miss out when the other kids are eating, especially for so much money.

How does the quality of the doll compare to American Girl dolls?

I think my DD would like this but it is so much. Her older sister and dad are doing Lunch with an Imagineer and this would make her feel special too.

I think they are almost identical if not completely identical to the American Girl dolls. That's why they call them "My Disney Girl" dolls. They're basically American Girl dolls dressed in Disney attire.

They sell them in the gift shops all over WDW. There are all different hair and eye color choices, and princess dresses or regular disney fan outfits for the dolls.
This one is blonde and dressed like Sleeping Beauty in keeping with the theme of the tea party.

The children are indeed served little PB&J hearts, but also get fruit and cheese and cake. The adults get a variety of sandwiches as well, so maybe they'd be willing to give your DD a few of those instead? You can always ask, everyone is always so happy to accomodate.

I hope you can go, it's great fun. But yeah, holy expensive! :scared1:

I don't have a comment about the tea, which does look cute, but about the doll. Quality wise, I don't know, but size wise the Disney dolls are a bit narrower than AG dolls. Each of my girls bought an outfit for her AG doll when we were in the MK in '05, and although they could get them on, they were definitely a tight squeeze.

In December, my DD was served a ham & cheese tea sized sandwich as well as the PB & J. She also had cheese & lots of grapes in her plate.

As for men attending, there was ONE Grandfather when we went.
