Just spent 6 hrs decoupaging 16 vases with zebra printed tissue. I wanted to work on stuff for the trip but I think I will wait until tomorrow. Hubby found me a pillowcase at Kohl's on sale today. So I can now get that done.

I am not eating them as I am meeting Theresa later for brunch. Last night was nice. Went to dinner and saw The Mentalist. Not too wild. We are saving our voices and energy for tonight and Kahunaville with Amy and Jane!!!!!

Sounds like fun! I want a pair of Uggs. I just need to figure which ones. I can't wear the tall ones since I have big calfs but the shorter ones might work.

The shorter are better for that reason. Me too. I have some tall ones that I roll down - so they are still taller than the shorts and have some white stuff showing like a cuff.

BTW, there is a site in England (pricey for shipping) that makes boots you can order in calf sizes. So you can get them skinny, or much wider than the ones you'd normally see. I have one pair and I've worn them for years. Nice styles.

Magicale is on my list of things to do this trip!

Evening all! We had a nice visit with the family for Ethan's birthday. However I am now exhausted.

The older kids are playing on the WiiFitPlus, our new purchase this morning. My dd (12) took a 30 minute run earlier today - ran something like 5 miles - in place in our Family room. Crazy, huh? I'm going to start "working-out" on the WiiFit on weekday mornings when I'm alone. Lord knows I don't need everyone sitting around watching me.

Patty, can't believe you spent 6 hours doing those vases. Did you have any help?

I need to focus on my pillowcase now. Can't put that off any longer!

Yesterday I bought my black shirt and my tie-dye shirt!!! (I also bought my first pair of Ugg boots!!!)

Today we are having a little family party for Ethan who turned 4 last Monday. Pizza, Salad, cake. Nothing fancy. Ethan would eat pizza for every meal if we let him!

Don't have them yet! I bought them from fleecefootwear dot com. Classic Short Metallic Copper on sale for $109!! Wasn't my first choice of color but the price was good so I jumped on it!

UGGS! Love them! I admit that I am an UGG snob! There is a difference to me. Real Uggs just feel heavenly on your feet. Fuggs always seem less cozy and stiffer to me.

Bad news for the Corn Dog lovers. The Little Red Wagon will be down for refurb from 1/4 - 5/5. Don't try to run over to DCA to the corn dog castle either...it doesn't reopen until 5/26/11. Sorry

Calm day around here. Came home from work early because it was soooo slow! Tonight Kallie is at a sleepover bday party, Beau's at drumline rehearsal and Steve went to take picture and video tape for them. So its just me and Parker and he's going to bed soon

But for those who STILL want a corndog fix, in DCA, The Farmers Market is selling them while the Corn Dog Castle is under refurb.

Hello from the SF Bay Area! I was supposed to be on a plane back to Switzerland right now, but British Airways canceled my flight due to severe weather conditions in London. Soonest flight I could get for the family is Monday, so we have two extra days in California. I must admit that I am so relieved to have a second to catch my breath before heading back to Europe.

My trip to Disneyland was short, but wonderful. THANK YOU to all the Divas who met up at GCH for my birthday. It really meant so much to me that you came and helped me ring in the new decade. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and Magicale. Thank you for all the cards and the gifts. I wore my Mickey scarf today and it was very warm and cozy. I am SURE it will come in very very handy in Switzerland. And as for Kristen, yes, I do think she would make an awesome Diva and I plan on bringing her with me to the next DL Diva meet! Guess that will be 2012, unless for some reason I'm in California for 2011.

Also want to say that I loved the GC villas. We stayed in a one bedroom and it really surpassed my expectations. Only complaint was that we only had two days there.

I'm going to try to get in a little shopping for myself tomorrow and then we head back home on Monday. Must admit that it is going to be very hard to leave California at this point to return to Switzerland. We've had a great break and have really enjoyed the weather, our family and friends. Time to get back to German lessons and snow! Kids are trying to convince me to let them live in California with the grandparents. Hopefully, we will get back into the groove quickly once we return. And heck, only 4 more months until spring comes.

Thanks again to Cheryl, Katie, Vicki, Jill, Mary Jo and Donna for helping me ring in the big 4-0! And, YES, Laila is a little sweetheart. She has the cutest little wave, smile and "hi" combo. Just makes you melt.

Yep I did them all by myself. Both kids were at the wrestling match doing community service hours. Still need to do the votive candle holders and just put ribbon on everything.

Got my pillowcase in hand and I am going to do that tomorrow. One project a day is my goal until Katie's party.
