Just checking in. Hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year's Eve/Day. I didn't get to be till almost 4 this morning. Then slept horribly. Spent most of the day in my jammies. Showered, and put on clean jammies. Still just hanging around. I don't feel bad, but I sure had more than my share to drink last night. So I am surprised that I feel as well as I did. One of the yummy shots we had last night was called "chocolate cake". It was delish. I will have to share that with you all.

Watching the Hangover again, and waiting to go to bed.

Anyone planning on watching the fights tomorrow night?

Chocolate cake shots are my favorite! Had a few last night. Very yummy! I also made 125 jello shots to take to the party we went to. I don't want to see jello fo awhile......

I am exhausted!! Today was day 3, but holy moly, I am ready for day 4 to be over!! I want my day off already!!

It sounds like everyone had a great NYE. I got home about 10:30 & I was tired. I was in bed barely awake to watch the ball drop and I was out.

Good morning and happy Saturday all! Sounds like everyone had a nice NYE and NYD. Yesterday was REALLY kick back for us, the way I like it! We hung out at home for most of the day and just relaxed and then went to mom's around 3. We watched the Rose bowl and then the sugar bowl as my aunt and uncle were at that game. I don't know if any of you watched that one but a guy on florida's team broke his arm and ewww it was nasty. They kept showing it. BLEH! But anyway mom just had leftovers from NYE and then made paella which was yummy and we had leftover birthday cake. I am not a huge football lover or ANY sports on tv for that matter so I pretty much just hung out on the couch but Shane and the rents LOVE football. Anyway the sugar bowl was a blowout so we came home in the 3rd quarter and I went to bed by 9.

Now today I am about to go out here in a few minutes and pick up Katy's cake and then we have to be at the theater at 10:30 to meet everyone. I hope everyone shows up at the same time and that it isn't a pain in the butt. I want to buy all the tickets at once and I don't want us to be late getting in to see the movie! I hope it is good too. We are going to see Alvin and the chipmunks. To be honest there are SO many good movies I want to see and that is NOT one of them but of course since it is kids we have to see something that they want to see. Honestly I would rather see princess and the frog again but since it has been out awhile some of them may have already seen it. Hopefully it is not too dumb!

Anyway then we are going to round table for pizza and cake. Hopefully it all goes off ok. There is 6 kids supposedly coming along with parents and one kid I had invited and then she said she wasn't coming AFTER she said she WAS but she said she MAY come if they get back from camping early. I actually hope they DON'T come now cuz when she said she wasn't coming I let Katy invite someone else and I don't have enough favors now cuz Katy invited TWO other people So we shall see. The last few parties we had have been a pain cuz they were like this where we had to meet all at a certain time to go in and that is stressful. I will be glad when the party days are over or at least they go back to wanting something where I don't need to wait for everyone to arrive at the same time.

Anyway then tomorrow we are hopefully going to take down our tree and then it is back to reality. Girls go back to school monday and I go back to work and Shane MAY have a line on some work!! So I am keeping my fingers crossed. Because he is in a union he can go to another shop if there is work so he has been putting out feelers. I sure hope so cuz we haven't hear squat from unemployemnt!

Anyway hope everyone has fun enjoying what's left of the holidays and the weekend!

We are thinking of driving to Pasadena to see the floats up close and personal. The website says 150,000 people will show up so bring your patience, but the earlier you get there the better. General admin begins at 9 am. We want to go on Sunday morn. It's only $7 and I am sure they are facsinating and beautiful IRL. Has anyone done this? Any tips or advice? Yeah or Nay? Are there places to sit? (DH can't stand for too long). Breezy & I are excited to go!

I've never done the after-viewing (sat in the stands as someone's guest once). It would be fun to see them, this year had some gorgeous ones and you see the amazing details. Maybe I'll hop on down there - it's close for me.

If you do decide to go down there, make sure you go to the bathroom. At about 11:30, the hotels stop letting people in until after the fireworks are done.

Since we didn't go eat sushi with my parents, we're all going again tomorrow night. I can eat sushi everyday, so that's fine with me!

Ok, so after recovering from the post-Christmas flu I spent one insane day in the office and then took Thursday to get ready for my NYE bash. Twelve adults and five kids. We didn't quite make it to midnight--everyone left around 11 p.m. (three-year olds were still going strong, but the parents were giving out). The next day (New Year's Day) I could hardly move. didn't get up till 10:30 a.m.

dinner was yummy though: Salad, prime rib, baked potatoes, herbed broiled tomatoes, roasted veggies, creamed corn and a cheesecake for dessert. Oh and for an appetizer I made this sundried tomato and pesto torta that was delish!

My Mom left about an hour and a half ago, so I've been doing a little cleaning and not much else. Hope 2010 is treating the Divas right and am SO happy to say goodbye to 2009.

Afternoon all. Back from the party. It went really well. I posted a few pics on fb. I got there and one group showed up and I went ahead and bought the tickets so they could go in and save seats then another group came and after waiting around I bought THEIR tickets cuz I didn't think the last group was going to make it and JUST as we were going in the last group came so I had to buy tickets 3 times LOL but it all worked out. The movie was cuter than I thought it would be and the kids all had a good time. Then we had a nice time at pizza and the girls enjoyed their cake and katy got some nice gifts. She was REALLY happy with her party so I think it went well.

Back to reality! Have a great rest of your day everyone!

A quickie hello from me.

Kind of a blah day here. Did some shopping, and we all went to lunch at CPK with Ruben's parents. We were supposed to spend the night at the M Resort tonight while his parents stayed here with the kids, but I canceled that. I just wasn't feeling it. I was being *****y for some reason. Maybe post holiday blues. Who knows.

We took the family to the San Francisco Zoo today. And a good time, but made me miss DL because Ethan kept asking if we could right Buzz.
