I'm awake...again. The group reservation people haven't called me back yet. I wonder if I could book directly through DD if we split it up into two PS for 8.

Can anyone else help make a PS at Steakhouse 55 for March 1, 2010 @ 9:30am for 8 people?

Can't wait to see you again! And good for you for starting on your healthier lifestyle! You have over 8 months till your birthday...you can lose 40 by then. That is only 5 lbs per month! You can totally do that!

Who was it? I think it was Callie who didn't recognize me last year at the Meet and Greet party as she was handing out the lanyards because I colored my hair really dark. At least, I think that's why she didn't recognize me.

That's funny you say that. Callie recognized me last year just from my pictures. She has quite the eye! We were coming out of the Hillbilly show. So glad she did though....

They do take up to a week to call you back for the group reservations. The same thing happened when I did the Ariel's - but when I called back the next day to do Jazz Kitchen and just confirm, it was in the system, just no one had called me yet. I personally would call back rather than try and get two different reservations..... Give them a chance to do their thing

Afternoon ladies! Thanks to those who looked at my Katy pics!

Shane cooked her a big breakfast of bannana pancakes and eggs and we have just been relaxing but I had to go out to pick up my med refills and get her cake. The BAD news is my stupid doctor didn't do my scrip right and the ins wasn't going to refill it. It's a LONG story but I take bc pills for my migraines and I only take 3 weeks worth and then start a new pack. Well if they don't write the scrip right the ins won't refill it when I am out. And that is EXACTLY what happened yesterday. So I called my doc and told them I was almost completely out and I needed them to fix it ASAP. I got to the pharmacy and NOPE! They hadn't done it. I was livid! And of course when I called them to fix it TODAY they were closed! GRRRRR. I am so po'd that we had to switch drs and ins. It has taken me YEARS to get a doc to get me the right meds and everything to run like clockwork and then Shane's stupid work made us drop our old ins and we had to start ALL over. No one realizes what a HUGE pain in the butt this is when you are on daily meds. So now I have to call 1st thing monday and hope they don't screw it up again! UGH!

But the GOOD news is I went to the grocery store and we have a really good friend who works there and I was telling her katy REALLY wanted a twilight cake for her party on Sat. I have all the stuff for it but they don't MAKE a twilight cake so we ordered Hannah Montana for the party. But I always get a small cake for her family party and she told me she would make something special and set it aside. So I went in and she had scanned a twilight pic and put it on the cake. I was SO shocked and excited. And to make it even better she paid for it and said it was her treat and happy birthday to Katy. This lady is the bomb! She did this one other time. We have ordered our cakes there EVERY time and she made a REALLY fancy one when Shane was depolyed (like a 50 cake) and she paid for it. I was shocked. It is so nice when so much other stuff is going wrong and then you get something like that. It really made my day and Katy is OVER the moon excited! I will take a pic of it tonight. It was SO cute!

Anyway just had to share. Have a GREAT day everyone!

Yep, it was me! I usually recognize hair before faces. Weird, I know. I am horrible at recognizing faces, and even worse with names! I swear that doing the name tags and lanyards is a lifesaver in that regard. I was really worried that first year that I would end up calling everyone "Beth".

We're doing a big fat NOTHING for NYE. Tomorrow we're going to drive up to Mt. Baker to find some snow so the kids can use their new sleds. Dan's bringing home my dad's Suburban right now so we'll have 4WD.

Hi everyone! Happy New Year's Eve!

I haven't really done anything productive today, other than work in my closets & room, so after this post I'm heading back. My son told me that we're invited to his girlfriend's house for the evening. I kind of wanted to curl up with a book, but he wants me to go, so I'll go, and am sure we'll have a nice time.

Capri - Do you have a pic with the new hairstyle? I bet is looks awesome on you.

It's actually at the new Terrena Resort and it should be a beautiful view if the skies are clear! I have not been out to the resort yet and I'm excited to see it. It is built on the same land where the old Marine Land was located.

We decided on a Cooper Mini...it is soooo cute. I fell in love with a Chocolate colored convertible mini so I think next fall I might be getting one! We only need one practical car, right?

Good news on Michael's blood test...nothing wrong so we'll keep an eye on him and if he continues to have dizzy spells they'll do CAT scan. He was 100% today.

Okay, I know the resort you're talking about. We drive around there every now and then, and had gone there when they were filming the Pirates of the Caribbean. I didn't have the nerve to go down the cliff, though, to see the fort area. I was shocked when I went there a year later and all these buildings were up. I miss the Marineland whale spout that marked the road... but such is progress. Have a great time!

The car sounds incredible. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

More importantly, I'm glad that the tests came out well for Mic.

Gooood morning! Happy New Years Eve!!

Today I’m working, after work I need to put gas and go to the book store. Tonight I’m going to sushi with my parents and Jesus. Today is my parents 19th wedding anniversary. Long story short, my parents married after my Mom got out of high school, they were married for a couple years, divorced and never dated/married/had kids for the 10 YEARS while they were divorced. My Mom ran into my Dad’s Mom at the grocery store and my grandma told my Mom she would have my Dad call her, my Dad showed up at my Mom’s house, they fell in love again, got married again and had ME 2 years later! I think they have the sweetest love story.

After sushi I’m going to Jesus’ house and ring in the New Year there.

What a romantic story about your parents!

Anyway we saw blind side last night and it was SO good! LOVE it! For anyone who HASN'T seen it you MUST see this movie! Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw do a GREAT job as does the boy who played the lead. Great feel good movie!!!

Today of course is Katy's 10th birthday and she has been talking about it for MONTHS!

Glad you were able to get a cake that Katy would really like. I loved seeing the pics. Sometimes when I look at my children, I can see images of them at different times in their life in my mind's eye.

I agree about the Blind Side. I did cry through the whole movie (that's me, though), but I laughed, too. Such a good movie!

I am very pleased and proud to announce that our scavenger team has grown by leaps and bounds. Some kind ladies have graciously offered to help us out.

Our team now consist of:

By the way ladies, after I have done my best to make up the teams, I do ask for input from the committee on them. We confer, get the thumbs up and go from there. So if you are not particularly happy with your team, you don't just have me to blame.

Yeah, it sounds like everyone should post a picture of what they REALLY look like just before the trip, so we don't all get confused. And name tags at the Meet & Greet would be great, especially for us newbies, because even though I have been looking at the pictures it is hard to keep 40+ people straight as to who is who. As my co-worker said yesterday (after getting her hair darkened), "Would you repeat that? Just because I covered up the blonde doesn't mean I can follow along that quickly."

Donna, I don't like cat scans either. They're creepy, and the junk you drink is horrid.

Yesterday I had my yearly b**b squishing xray. Man......after that is done, it is no wonder they sag. It hurts too. But it is something that all women need to do faithfully!!!

Mel, I was thinking of the brain cat scan... I don't recall drinking anything...but it was a few years ago. I just remember some needle.. oh well, tmi.

But the mammos... those are a piece of cake. The secret is that you ask for the foam pads. They charge you for them ($10) but you keep it (not in plastic) for next time. It makes it much more comfortable. If men had to get this test, they would be covered by insurance.

Haven't found my shoes yet. Heading out again today on the hunt. Thanks for reminding me about the orthotics. I have a podiatrist and he recommended them before. He sorta tried to ask me out the last time I saw him so I haven't been back. Then again, I have had any food issues either. Might have to go that route though.

Very cute Capri! I kind of was on the lookout too for something the other day at Target. Saw some stuff, but didn't know if they quailified, so I went on. Now maybe I'll take a look again if that is what you bought.
