This is killing me.....after reading people finding a great airfare deal....I went & looked & found a round-trip ticket for $100........ I WANT TO GO!!!!
I just get that look from hubby of uh-huh...good price.

I think the biggest issue of me actually going is the kids. Hubby works, 22 yr old works & 20 yr old is in college.....so who could be with the kids......answer???? We have no one.....that's why I'm so housebound. I just wish we could work something out. I really need this & I want to meet you all in person!!! This is the best bunch of gals and can't thank you all enough for the support I've received over this last year!!!

Keep positive thoughts that a miracle will happen & I'll be able to go....but at this point....it looks like a no!

Callie, I'm so very sorry about your grandma! Sending you and your mom hugs.

Laurie, with this much notice, couldn't you get respite care scheduled? I would think so? It would be so worth it, and you certainly deserve it. I would imagine with such lee time that your children and/or DH could probably coordinate something between jobs and everything, too.

I still think I will be giving this year's a pass due to my CE meeting in Ohio, but still hemming and hahing (sp?)

WHAT??? You have FIVE trees in your house??

LOL Yes. Do not ask what I was thinking. I blame Stacerita. She mentioned how she has like 9 trees, or 13 or some huge amount and so last year after Christmas I stocked up on decorations and trees.
It took me all day yesterday to set everything up though. I'm not sure I'll do this again.

I think we need pictures! I have an image from HGTV in my head!

Um, more like an image from Walmart which is where all my decorations are from.

It's very simple and not fancy at all.
The twins have a 3.5 foot table tree that they decorated in gold and red. Noelle has a 6 foot she decorated in blue and silver.
Then there is the family tree that holds all our Disney and Hallmark ornaments.
I have two trees, one 7 foot skinny one with red, gold and green.
And finally another fat 7.5 foot one that has a gold/cream theme.

I will take pics, maybe later, but it sounds better than it looks. Remember I let my kids do the decorating.

I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers for my mom and gramma. My gramma went to be with the Lord this morning.

I really need this & I want to meet you all in person!!! This is the best bunch of gals and can't thank you all enough for the support I've received over this last year!!!

Aw Laurie. I am still hoping you will find a way to make it. You do need it. And you deserve it. My fingers are crossed for you. Keep trying and plotting and planning and scheming. Hopefully something will work out.

Morning ladies!!! I hope you are all having a good day so far.


Adam is home sick today. Stuffy/runny nose, and he feels slightly warm so I'm keeping an eye on him. Also doing lots of sanitizing. I do not want to get sick!! Hopefully it's nothing more than a cold. (fingers crossed)

I fell last night in my bathroom. Slipped on some water on the floor and went down with a big thud!! I'm okay but I was trying to grab the counter to keep from falling and I think I did more harm than good. My lower back hurts now. Ugh.

So today I'm going to try to take it easy. Maybe do a bit more decorating, some Christmas cards, and maybe some wrapping. Or maybe I'll do nothing and just watch a movie.

If I feel up to it later tonight, I'm going to run out to the store to pick up a few groceries including stuff to make Christmas sugar cookies. Frosting, sprinkles, cookie cutters, different colors of tubed icing, the works.

I soooo wish we lived closer!! How fun would it be to have a Christmas cookie exchange and decorating party. Put out some appetizers, drinks, play some Christmas music, and just chat while decorating cookies.

Dang. Why can't we all live closer!!

Beth your trees sounds awesome! My mom has some friends that put up several trees in their home and they are all decked out! Like I said I am lucky to get up one LOL! Although Shane insisits on having a HUGE tree so ours is like 8 feet tall and it is a big bushy one. It is fake cuz we got tired of real ones losing needles and drying out. I DO love real but they are SO expensive and they just die so I love my fake one. It is really pretty and looks good forever!

Sorry you fell and about Adam! I hope BOTH of you feel better and I like the movie idea. I had to run to target yesterday because when we went to the snow we realized that Katy's winter coat was a size 7! It was way too small but we didn't go to the snow last year so she was able to get by but I went and picked her up a new one and while I was there I was looking at their cheapo movies and picked up bridget jones 1 and 2 for 5 bucks! I have never seen them but have heard they were good and for 5 bucks you can use them for drink coasters LOL

I LOVE the idea of cookie baking etc. My mom used to get invited to one of those parties where you had to bake 12 dozen cookies and then you went and exchanged with others. It was really fun! Now we get invited to ornament exchanges and to be honest I have ornaments coming out the ying yang LOL but I would LOVE the cookies! YUM! I agree I wish we all lived closer cuz I would LOVE to hang besides just the trips. Esp at YOUR house! Of course then I would NEVER lose weight cuz you make all that yummy stuff and I would just HAVE to eat some!

Have fun with the cookies. I am hosting a cookie exchange at my house sunday so will be making Thumbprint cookies and gingerbread cookies (for the kids to decorate). I am looking forward to seeing my friends and family. I will have christmas music playing, have eggnog, milk and apple cider to drink and each person is bringing an additional dozen cookies (besides the 1/2 dozen per family attending) to have out during the party. I am looking forward to it!

Oh and PS Target had ghiradellis and Lindt truffles on sale. They had the peppermint bark and the chocolate with peanute butter! YUM! I just HAD to get some. Plus they had the truffles with the dark chocolate and mint! I am NEVER going to lose any weight cuz those were calling my name!!!

If you are talking table top trees and regular trees we also put 5 up. One in the family room, 1 in each of the kids rooms, 1 in our room, and my hallmark tabletop minature tree. I knew I loved ya Beth! Oh wait we also have a ugly festivas pole that my husbands puts out too!

Good Morning Divas!

I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers for my mom and gramma. My gramma went to be with the Lord this morning. My aunt and her pastor were with her in the hospital, and it was a peaceful passing with songs and prayers being said as she took her final breaths.

I wish I could talk my mom into coming on the Diva trip with us. She sure could use a fun time come February. . .

I'll try to get back on later, but I know I'll be dealing with my mom a lot today.

My thumbprint cookies are rolled in nuts, baked, thumbprinted, and the thumbprint is filled with jelly once they have cooled! They are mass tasty! I love baking but it is hard for me to not eat all the cookies...this way I am only making two types of cookies but will have lots of different types around.
