The thumbprint ones mom makes are peanut butter and then you put a hersheys kiss in the thumbprint. They are heavenly! And Mao means (Maow) Like eating a lot. Have you not ever heard that expression like I am going to Mao them? Eat everything? Just something we say a lot. Maybe it's a california thing LOL. Valley girl talk I don't know LOL.

My FAV cookies I have to say though are fresh homemade choc chip. YUM!

I have to say I have never heard that before. Thank you for explaining it to me! Your thumbprint cookies sound good too. My mom is bringing one of my very fav cookies. They are pb/date balls covered in chocolate! Those and my thumbprint cookies are two of my fave's...then there are bars....we had better not go there! LOL! I am trying to lose weight after all!

Adam is home sick today. Stuffy/runny nose, and he feels slightly warm so I'm keeping an eye on him. Also doing lots of sanitizing. I do not want to get sick!! Hopefully it's nothing more than a cold. (fingers crossed)

I fell last night in my bathroom. Slipped on some water on the floor and went down with a big thud!! I'm okay but I was trying to grab the counter to keep from falling and I think I did more harm than good. My lower back hurts now. Ugh.

So today I'm going to try to take it easy. Maybe do a bit more decorating, some Christmas cards, and maybe some wrapping. Or maybe I'll do nothing and just watch a movie.

Uh, well, don't you know the rule? No falling! Serioulsy, you fall harder when you are taller! Take it easy and power down the ibuprofren (I recommend at least 1000mgs).

I agree Stacie! She had me laughing so hard last year I was crying! We need our Amy! I wish Tracy was coming too! She is pretty funny as well. WAHHHH! So glad Callie is coming and we need to get our girl Capri on board! It's a mission!!

And I want to come so badly. I keep thinking, trying to justify it, and I could do the trip pretty darn inexpensively, but then we just finally got the bill for Andrew's hearing aids, and darn if those things aren't going to cost us $2000 out of pocket. And I really want the family to go for 4 days over Xmas as I love it there at that time of year, and if I don't sign up for the Diva trip then I can justify signing us up for the Holday tour. Ugh! I just wish that money and time both grew on trees!

I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers for my mom and gramma. My gramma went to be with the Lord this morning. My aunt and her pastor were with her in the hospital, and it was a peaceful passing with songs and prayers being said as she took her final breaths.

I am glad that your gramma's passing was peaceful. Hopefully your Mom and the rest of the family can be at peace now too. Hopefully your Mom will be able to go along on the Diva trip and have some fun!

With Dawn's passing and Callie's grandma and Capri's troubles and Deb's I thought we could all use something to cheer us up.

I was looking at their cheapo movies and picked up bridget jones 1 and 2 for 5 bucks!

Good deal! I like the Bridget Jones movies.

Because we would always be at each others houses and never get anything done! LOL!

If you are talking table top trees and regular trees we also put 5 up. One in the family room, 1 in each of the kids rooms, 1 in our room, and my hallmark tabletop minature tree. I knew I loved ya Beth! Oh wait we also have a ugly festivas pole that my husbands puts out too!

I was going to put them in the different kids' rooms but they are so crowded already. Where as my downstairs area is much bigger and empty. So that's where they are.

I am trying to lose weight after all!

Also Divas--I heard from Sally and there were about 250 people at Dawn's memorial this morning--standing room only. She said that the person who did the service took a lot of quotes from Facebook to share. I am going to call her tomorrow--she and her husband were just exhausted and going to bed as soon as they got home.

Hi everyone, hope all is well.

Had court today, he didn't show so now there's a warrant out for his arrest with no bail. If arrested he would be in for a minimum of 20 days. Go figure. I know he just forgot, as he always does. If I don't remind him constantly about stuff he forgets.

Anyway, I"m fine with it, it doesn't solve anything for me and now my concern is it happening if he has Ayden with him.

Also, I wasn't going to mention this here, but it's been eating at me. If I have ever offended anyone here, I apologize. I received a PM that was really upsetting and sounds like some may have been offended by comments I made about CHris being out of work and such. Please know that was never my intent and I'm sorry if anyone was offended by anything I said.

I don't remember you saying anything that would offend . But then again, it takes a lot to offend me . Seriously though, I've been out of work for 11 months & I still don't remember you saying anything offensive.

I may have to go check out the Vegas thread. I seriously doubt I'll be able to go, but I'd really love to.

Things are way stressful at work today--it's evaluation season so I have to write 9 colleague evaluations, evaluate my supervisor and his supervisor, and do a 5 page self evaluation. Everything is supposed to be turned in on Friday, but really we have until Monday morning.

But, if that wasn't enough my supervisor threw 2 other ASAP projects at all of us today, so I had to basically drop what I was doing and work on the first of those projects as it is for a presentation in front of the university board of regents and president.

I will likely do the other one at home tonight after Ty goes to bed, as it is turning in a current copy of my resume. I updated it about 1.5 years ago so it won't be too bad, but will be easier done in the quiet at home tonight. YUCK!!!

I don't remember finding anything you said offensive either.

I'm sorry this is upsetting you. If someone sent me a PM telling me I said something to offend them, it would upset me too. But things happen like that quite often on discussion boards. People can easily take things the wrong way or out of context.

Don't be upset. All you can do is apologize for unintentionally offending the person and move on. We all know you're an awesome person!

Hey Janelle, I've read every single post you've made here and I cannot think of one that was in any way offensive. I'm sorry that happened to you, but as Capri said we all know you are an awesome person and so sweet from everything I know about you.

I wouldn't let it bother you, although things like that upset me too. Hopefully whomever sent it to you, the two of you are able to discuss it and work it out. Some people are just too easily offended. I guess.
