I agree this year it just hasn't really seemed like Christmas much I am sure it will though on Christmas morning.
Aw Kelly, I hope the Christmas spirit hits you with full force very soon.

Ever know what you want to say but your not sure how to say it??? I'm feeling like this right now. :confused3 I just want to say that our group has pulled together to 'take care of our own' many times this year and I want to say THANK YOU ALL!!! Up until this group I have had only a few close friends (and they live across the country....thanks to the AF). You all are amazing and I am very thankful to have you all in my life and more importantly thankful that we have each other in our lives.
Actually Steph, I think you said that beautifully. And I couldn't agree more. :grouphug:

We've had a real mess at home this past week :sad1:and thankful that Ayden still has gifts coming from Santa that were hidden and not out in plain view like all our other gifts were. Anyway, I still have so much to be thankful for. Merry Christmas to you all.
Oh man Janelle. Hon, I am so sorry. :(

It's supposed to snow in Rapid City today, but at least the plane can land in snow, it can't land in frozen fog!!
Have a fun time and be safe and warm Stacie.

Morning girls!

I went to Wal Mart this morning and they had about 50 of the Zhu Zhu pets... they are so creepy!!

Steph~ Make sure you charge the DS for at least 12 hours. The battery will last longer.

Cristabel~ All of this talk about tamales & cookies, is making me hungry!

I went this morning and bought the last of the items for Christmas. I had to get cheese & crackers for Laramies parents house. I can't believe I agreed to go there for Christmas. Its only over night but I just might go insane in 24 hours. With my allergies, a house of 4 or 5 smokers, and 4 dogs, I am not looking forward to this. :sad2:

I am going to be wrapping presents & a quick trip to get my eyebrows waxed and maybe I might give the boys an early present. Their GC to the movie theater and we will go and see the new Chipmunks movie at 1 or 3. It looks so so cute! popcorn:: <--I want popcorn!!

I have never been to the Melting Pot. Spokane just got one downtown somewhere. It is to fancy for Moses Lake.

Well I am off to wrap, finish laundry, serve food at my FB cafe, harvest my peppers, sweep & mop, and pick up the boys.

Cheryl~ How were the crowds? You are a brave woman!

Hey ladies!!!

GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?

Tomorrow's Christmas Eve, tomorrow's Christmas Eve, tomorrow's Christmas Eve!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: :hyper: :yay: :hyper: :yay:

YAY!!! :cool1: Good luck to all of you with last minute wrapping, shopping, baking, etc. You can do it!! Get moving!! Why are you still here reading this?? Huh, huh? Don't make me get my whip.....:rolleyes1

I'm thinking of a Christmas movie marathon today; White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, Elf, Christmas with the Kranks, and of course, my favorite, The Grinch. :thumbsup2

Whatever y'all are doing today, be safe, be warm, be thankful for all the blessings in your life. :)

PS
I'm not really ready for Christmas. I still need to go to the grocery store tomorrow and I know I'm insane for going then but it guarentees what I need is the freshest possible. I need to wrap all of the Christmas presents, figure out how many batteries we need to have in the house, charge Raine's DS (so she'll be able to play with it on Christmas), sync Selena's MP3 player (I've been downloading songs throughout the year and copying the kids' CDs), bake pies, make a gingerbread tree with the kids, and this morning my boss and I are delivering Christmas presents to one of our Airman as he and his family had a tough year and we wanted to make sure his dd (age 4) has a great Christmas.

Awwwww Steph, you said that perfectly!

The Divas are indeed truly AMAZING.....Magical even!

Wow, you sure are BUSY BUSY today. How fun to go with your boss and deliver Christmas presents to an Airman's family. That will be an awesome moment! :santa: :littleangel: :santa:

I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I apolgize that some of my cards did not get out. Half did but the other half were stolen, guess they thought there was money in them. We've had a real mess at home this past week :sad1:and thankful that Ayden still has gifts coming from Santa that were hidden and not out in plain view like all our other gifts were. Anyway, I still have so much to be thankful for. Merry Christmas to you all.

Oh no Janelle.....what happened?!!

I have never been to the Melting Pot. Spokane just got one downtown somewhere. It is to fancy for Moses Lake.

Justin and I ate there two years ago for our 14th anniversary, and although I though it was good, the whole time all I could think was, "I can't believe we're paying so much for uncooked food that took very little effort to prepare other than to set it out on a pretty platter and walk it to our table!"

Have fun at the movies today. YUM......popcorn. :thumbsup2

I made my shirt. It didn't photograph very bright but it looks much better in person.

disshirtback001-1.jpg

I'll add the front pic next since I can't seem to get 2 pics here at once.

I won't be making my shirts until a week or two before the trip. I'm hoping to use these next five weeks to regain some sense of healthy eating and I hope my muscle memory holds out for my daily 45 minute walks

I have to start finagling with a budget for this trip. My only inflexible cost is the hotel. The only thing I need worry about is budgeting for my food, shirts and pillow case.

I'm going to keep my eyes out for some deals at the local outlet stores & target for shirts. Probably won't actually make my shirts until early Feb (trying to put together a decorating party with some of the other local ladies).

I have a pretty good idea of my budget, but am still hoping for some Disney gift cards from family. I know I got one (since my dh acidentally opened the envelope), but don't know if that is it. Any little bit helps!

We left for the airport at 6:45am (Mesa Gateway, not Phoenix Sky Harbor, flying to Rapid City, South Dakota), checked in at 8:30am, weather delayed the flight from 9am to 10:15am, took off, turned around, landed back in Phoenix at 11:15am due to weather in South Dakota, rescheduled for 7:10pm takeoff, went to a nearby mall, had lunch and saw A Christmas Carol (would have been alot better in 3D), called at 5pm, re-rescheduled for 5pm TOMORROW!! WTH?!? And the heat in my house was turned off so now I'm cold anyways!!! Whoops, forgot one thing, Christine and I both upgraded our phones while we were shopping!!

What a pain! We're not even sure we'll get to fly out tomorrow, it's supposed to snow in Rapid City!!

That is a pain! DH and I have the worst luck when we travel on holidays. Hopefully your travel luck turns around soon!

Sounds good. Like Capri said we each will need to bring a bag of candy for the Meet and Greet candy buffet. Check Claires for the tiara.

Added! Very excited for the candy exchange again & the pillowcase. I was so last minute last year that I didn't get to really participate in either (though did get to reap the benefits of eating some of the candy).

I totally agree. While I don't post much I do read the posts between meetings at work. Stragely enough it makes me feel connected. Working in the online industry and working in a remot office with only ~40 people, there aren't alot of human connections I get to make. A lot of phone calls and video chats, but all business related. With my sister & 2 best friends living at least 1 -2 states away it's nice to hear about your lives and know that I have something to look forward to planning & attending each year.

Merry Christmas all:santa:

I have all these odd little things to finish up still...its driving me nuts! I work 1/2 day today, dentist at noon and work tonight until midnight, then 1/2 day tomorrow morning.....it can't end soon enough!!!

here's the front. the hood lining is dark purple but it shows up blue

that looks wonderful!! Great job

Wishing you all safe travels, shopping, baking and fa la laaaaing, wherever you are headed!! May you be surrounded by those you love and enjoy the little things along the way!!

I love how the pirate shirt design came out. Now I just have to figure out how to make mine :rolleyes1.

I so sorry this happened to you. People can just be so evil sometimes :headache:. Hugs to you & I hope you can still have a Merry Christmas !

Good Morning Divas! I hope you are all ready for the holidays!

I'm a little down right now. I receivd a Christmas card from my grandma that lives up north & it was a little hurtful towards me. It's just very shocking because she's usually very supportive .

It basically said she's disappointed in how my life has turned out & that having another baby was not a good thing & was probably the cause of most of my problems!!! Thanks grandma :guilty:! I mean if she's feels this way, why not tell me later. She could have left it out of the Christmas card.

No matter how hard my life is now, I will never regret having Laila!! She's the sweetest baby & her personality always cheers me up when I'm down. To me she is a blessing!

I agree whole heartedly with what Steph said earlier. I'm just so glad to have you all in my life. You're all more like my family than my actual family & you don't judge me as harshly.

Love ya all!

Oh Deb - good luck at the in-laws. That sounds excrutiating (I don't like dogs or smoke, I know, I know, don't shoot me). And you couldn't pay me enough to sit through an entire movie of the chipmunks voices. ALLLVIN!!! Oye. Still, I hope you have a great time with your boys and Laramie's family. You are so laid back and mellow, low maintenance and no whining. Not much gets to you, I can tell, I need to try and emulate you more. You're awesome.:thumbsup2

Trudi - great job with the jacket. Breezy and I are tackling ours next month.

Jill - you are so inspirational to us. I love all your positive comments and actions - all the time. :goodvibes

Janelle - what happened? I hope no one stole your presents, that would be awful.

Katie - I am so sorry your grandma said those things. I think we are hardest on ourselves when things go bad. Loved ones need to support us. Of course your baby is a highlight in your life. She's a little ball of joy.princess: No judgemental thoughts here.

Steph - I love what you said. It's all true. I really realized how important the group is to me when....number one Dawn passed away and I was (still am) so deeply affected and saddened....number two DH was diagnosed with cancer and you all treat me the same but underneath are a blanket of strength and love when I need it. So, thanks Divas, for being you!

Only a short time until Christmas - I am soooo ready!

Today was my 8th anniversary. It was a crazy day but all turned out ok. DH bought me the 1940's version of Pride and Prejudice which I am excited to watch. Hope you all are having a great day!

Sarah

Happy Anniversary again! Exicting about the movie! Have fun watching it!

I really hope you all have a wonderful joyous day.

Tracey

Hi Tracie!:wave2:

Good morning girlies!
After my job today I am officially on vacay!!!! I am so ready!
Have a great day!

Enjoy!!!

Sorry to hear that your grandmother thought this was the appropriate time to share her feelings. Not good timing on her part. You should be thankful for Laila...she is adorable and such a blessing to you!

I think we are ready for Christmas. We went out last night to dinner and a movie last night with one of very own Diva's and her husband and saw Avitar...good movie! When we came home Mr. CA's DS had a fever but thankfully he is feeling much better today. He is home here with me so hopefully he'll be 100% by tomorrow.

We need to go to get groceries because we are hosting the 'mixed' family Chrismas Eve dinner here tomorrow night. ;) It'll be a much smaller group because my parents won't be able to come now and one set of Mr. CA's ex-relatives won't be coming so there will only be 8 of us including the kids. Looking forward to it!

Thank you again for all of your nice messages this week regarding my grandma's passing. It was a hard week but I know she is looking out for all of us now!

I hope you all have a wonderful day doing whatever it is you need to do!

Hugs!:grouphug:

I'm sorry your received such a hurtful card. Your grandma should have talked to you directly instead of putting it in a Christmas card! That seems very passive aggressive to me. I hate when people are passive aggressive.

ALL babies are blessings! Laila is such a cutie, too!

Good job Trudi. Thanks for posting that. Now we know it can be done. :thumbsup2 Not by me of course, as I am hopeless at that sort of thing. :rotfl:

Oh, and to add another pic in the same post, just copy the photobucket code, and add one right under the other.

BTW - I love how you officially include your FB cafe and your farm into your daily schedule. LOL! :rotfl:
I do too. That was funny.

Don't let her get you down Katie. I'm sorry she said such hurtful things and it was certainly inappropriate for her to include her thoughts in a Christmas card.

We can't change the way people think, but ultimately you are the only one living your life. If you are happy, that's all that matters. It's easy for others to sit back and judge. If we are all honest with ourselves, I think we've all been guilty of that at one time or another. But I do try really hard not to judge anyone or their choices because I'm not living anyone elses life. And Lord knows I've made decisions that others probably thought I was stupid or certifiable for making.

I think your daughter is adorable and would never judge you for having her. Regardless of how your Grandma feels, you have that precious little angel in your life now and she should be supportive, not critical. That's not going to help anyone. Maybe you can talk to her and let her know how hurtful her comments were.

In the meantime, chin up. We love you, and you are a good mom with lots to be proud of.

Only a short time until Christmas - I am soooo ready!
Me too!

Jill, I hope the dentist appt ends soon. How wrong to have one so close to Christmas. :sad2:

Cristabel, I agree all babies are blessings.

Vicki, enjoy your Christmas Eve dinner. :santa:

Everyone else, hope you are having a good day so far. Ruben and I are going on a date tonight. We got free tickets to see Gordie Brown, so I paid Noelle to babysit her sisters while Adam is out at a friend's Christmas party. Fingers crossed it all goes well!!! lol

Janelle - I'm so sorry that happened to you! I hope the cops catch the jerk!

My poor little Jingles is very mopey

She either wants to sleep by the fireplace or be held. She looks so cute and ridiculous in that diaper :lmao:

I just have to buy two more gifts and I'm done with shopping for my family. I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve, where did my week go?

LOL! Poor Jingles. :goodvibes

Well, at least you could find doggie diapers to fit her. Sassy went through two heat cycles before we got her fixed, and we couldn't find any doggie diapers big enough to fit her. It was awful and yucky.

Katie, you are a very strong, successful woman and mother, and little Laila is a blessing.....period! Don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise.
