Girls Only Trip ~ OLD Thread, see link in first post for new one

Howdy! I am back from my errands. Went and fed mom's cats and picked up messages for her. Then I ran and picked up my meds and that was kind of a pain cuz at walgreens you can have it set up on quick pay so they have your checking acct and you just tell them to bill it to that. Well it was set up to our old joint acct which is now no longer available. So I had to actually go in instead of doing drive thru and I had to pay for them which was 50.00 and then today I have to pay 75 for the girls shots and my appt. EEK! I don't have a whole lot in my acct either. Shane is going to HAVE to either give me some money or open up that other acct and SOON. Luckily I will get a check tomorrow but when you only make 200 a week it goes QUICK! I used to just save my checks up most of the time and then I would use them for spending money on trips or to buy the girls clothes or christmas or to buy myself stuff and our jt acct was used for pretty much EVERYTHING else so this has been really hard. Esp since the last several weeks I had really been tapping into my acct to pay for our car regs and christmas etc. Plus I have been buying Katy's birthday stuff and on and on. Had I known this was going to happen I wouldn't have done that. Oh well. Hopefully we can get something resolved this weekend. I don't like having to rely on someone else!! I have always been very independant and it sucks! Katie I am sure you can relate! I hope things are looking a "little" better at least for you today. I got your card in the mail! THANK you! Every day I get a card makes my day a little brighter!!!

Anyway I have to pick the girls up in another hour and then we are off to the docs. All my survivor buddies enjoy the show tonight and don't worry Callie I promise I won't tell!

Good morning!

Well I'm home sick today with a cold. And I had to cancel my 11:30 orthodontist appointment today. I was supposed to go last week, but couldn't because we were at DL. They're all booked for next week so they have me down for Christmas Eve at 10:30. Which will be a whole 8 weeks since my last adjustment! Oh, and for some reason they're only open on Thursdays, which really sucks.

Tina, glad to hear you are getting lots of jobs, but don't work to hard.

I've been pretty busy today, we leave for DL tomorrow afternoon and I'm trying to get all my Christmas cookies made before we leave! Only 2 more batches to go. When I'm done, I'll post a picture of them. Most of them are cookies my mom used to make and it just doesn't seem like Christmas until I've made them! Oh, and eat them, too!!

Thank you girls. I always feel bad missing work, especially because my other two coworkers that share my position miss work A LOT and I do not want to be in the same category as them. I've been working there for awhile, so I'm just crossing my fingers my boss knows that I'm not faking (hello? I'll go put my dirty booger filled tissues on her desk if she's doubting me) and I'm not a slacker! Okay, rant off. But I'm happy I did stay home with my Mom today and rested, I would have been more miserable if I went to work anyways.

On a side note, I do need to introduce vitamin C into my diet. Something is not working for me here.

Tomorrow is my Dad's birthday, he's turning 55!! I got him a Borders gift card and we're going to go to dinner. I'm hoping he picks sushi.

Thank you everyone for their congrats. I am so excited about this new job, but also totally freaked out. Its what I wanted though, and what I went to school to do. The hours are better, the pay is way better, and its the highest I can go in the department. Only bummer is that I will be new and can't just take off and come and go as I please. So I won't be able to be on the trip as long as I would like.

HEY DIVAS, YOU ALL ARE SNEAKY, CRAZY, & TRULY JUST WONDERFUL!

I can't believe you guys! I was completely caught off guard and totally surprised big time!

So Debra and I had a terrific lunch. We were talking and talking, and well, just chatting away for the longest time while having lunch. Then she says in the most sneaky casual manner, "Oh, I have a card for you." I'm like, "Oh thanks Deb. I actually have your card too, in my car. Shoot, I should have grabbed it to give to you before Justin dropped me off." Then I opened the card she gave me, and for a second, I was confused, thinking "What is this?" Then I saw all the Diva names on the card and a cute little gift card envelope, and I'm still just.....befuddled. It was like I was expecting to see this cute little card from Debra, but my brain couldn't catch up with what my eyes were actually seeing. Then it hit me, and well, I just started crying and crying, and I couldn't stop. I kept trying to stop, but the tears just kept coming out. And so I'm telling Debra I'm sorry because now I'm making her cry because I keep crying, and well, it was just a blubbering tear fest in the middle of Red Robin - LOL!

I'm still in shock. Just shear and utter shock over such a huge surprise! I can't get over it and how thoughtful all of you are. I am SO EXCITED.....this is going to make Christmas so happy for our boys, and VERY MEANINGFUL for Justin and I because it is such a special gift from all of you! You have no idea, really, just how special this gift from you really is for us!

I can honestly say, I've never been shown such kindness before.....ever. And saying thank you just doesn't cut it......it just doesn't even come close to describing my gratitude.

And little Debra, your Diva secret agent (LOL), bought me lunch and gave me a ride home to boot. I mean, it was the BEST DAY EVER!!!!
(Sorry our house was kind of trashed Deb......as you know, it's been taken over by the many guys in our house this week. Usually it's MUCH neater and cleaner. And you were very brave to use the boys' bathroom too. )
