Awesome awesome awesome!! I assume it has more "normal" hours??? I'm so happy for you.

Hugs :grouphug: to all the Divas who need them.

Janelle--I did check and I DO take 50000 IU of Vit. D once a week and so far (a year and a half) no ill effects. Plus I do take 1,000 IU every day. When I was diagnosed with low Vit. D (and exhausted at the time) my doc said I had one of the lowest levels he had ever seen in his career!

Thanks Cheryl. It just seemed so extreme. It just doesn't seem right that my levels continue to drop even with the supplementing. You'd think my Dr would want to find out why...but she could care less.

Hi Divas! I hope everyone is having a marvelous week so far! I know I posted telling you about my submarine so I wanted to show you how it turned out...

SubmarineforDisBoards.jpg

It is for my final in my children speech arts class. I am doing the story of Finding Nemo. There will be a lot more props but the submarine was what I was in charge of. I think it turned it pretty neat...what do you think?

I love your sub !!!!
It may be Nemo but it's got me singing "we all live in a yellow submarine......."

Capri, did your dad not go to the hospital? With the bleeding plus blood thinners plus the slow healing that comes with diabetes, that is not a good equation to deal with without medical intervention. Slow bleeding can be dangerous because it is insidious and you are not sure exactly how much is lost, but it does add up.

It's happened so much the past couple of years that my mom is like an expert at dealing with it. However, now that they are back in Spokane, mom is getting in contact with my dad's nurse again (before they went to Lake Havasu, his nurse would come to the house and check on dad and his wounds, blood sugar level, vitals, etc, three time per week). Hopefully she can get it set up ASAP.

Don't be silly, doesn't Spokane have public transportation?
Take the bus.......................:scared1:

Just kidding, of course I can give you ride home.
I will be walking around Target and the stores around the area if you would like to come early.

Hahahaha, well Spokane may have public transportation, but Mead (out in the boonies) does not, so my public transportation would be hitch hiking. :scared1:

Thanks babe! I'm sorry that I don't have a car for tomorrow, but I'm so happy that you still want to meet for lunch! (even though I need you to give me a ride home) :headache:  :yay:

Actually, I only live about 10 minutes north of Red Robin, so the drive isn't too far out. :thumbsup2

Now onto some good news.......I just gave my notice at my current job because I was made an offer at another hospital. I will be the new Director of Health Information Management. Its a huge step up for me. I am really excited and totally freaked out at the same time.

Hope everyone is enjoying their evening.
Congrats to you Stacie!! I know you are going to excel in your new position and it will work out great. :goodvibes

Just a quickie from me to say good night. I am so tired...... Night!!! :cloud9:

 Hugs to everyone...looks like we could all use some about now.

My family is fine, just some basic colds.

I do have some exciting news (or at least exciting if you are a mom!) My dd went #2 in the potty at daycare today...she has never done anything in the potty before so this is HUGE! She is 17 months old so I am hoping she will be potty trained way sooner than my ds was...he was 3 1/2!:scared1:

Oh and Stacie....CONGRATS!!!!:jumping1::rainbow::ccat:

Sarah

Good Evening back at you Cristabel. Looks like everyone else went to bed. I have been up finishing my Christmas cards. Finally ready to go off, except I ran out of my husband's stamps. Dang him! Now I have to go to the post office.

Hey congrats are in order. New job for Stacie:thumbsup2 Poop in the potty for Sarah:thumbsup2

Pretty much all is good for my little family, and I almost feel jinxed to say that. I really hope all of you that are struggling with different challenges will get through this time and find, hmm...well, I guess it would be "love and light" that I wish for you all.

Only 7 days until we make our decision if we are going to DL for Xmas or not. Still watching the weather. Glad it is warming up next week, as that will make it easier. We'll see. But hey gals, I do have an extra kid suite reserved for the 17th to the 24th, if any of you need one. Just let me know. I need to call and release it soon.

Well todays one day sale was definitely better than yesterdays. People were more understanding and less pushy. The only thing is that all my customers are nuts.

:grouphug:Hugs to everyone out there cause theres alot going on and you need them. Going to bed so I can go to Disneyland in the morning. :goodvibes

I'm only hoping we can finish the hunt! We got the free hotel room, who knows maybe we'll win the shirt competition! What more could we ask for??

I know Carol has a team going as well, so the competition is ON! :santa:
Yes well....we have never done anything like this before so we will see. But we will do our best and have a great time! Cheryl, I was wondering if you were going to go ahead with it but I understand your decision. So it looks like we have three teams here, so bring it! :woohoo:

I just have a couple of hours to finish getting everything ready for our trip today so I need to get busy. I am not bringing the laptop so won't be on again until we get back. Can't wait to meet some of you Sunday at RBT!

Good morning Divas! :wizard::wizard::wizard: Here's hoping it's a good day for everyone.

Steph- :hug::hug::hug:

Cheryl- Are you still going this weekend? I totally understand your decision to not participate in MA & it was wonderful that you donated the money to the Wells in Africa. to you.

Wow you guys have been chatty, chatty!!
I will try and catch up later.
Finals are over :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:
Winter Break has now started!!!!

I was called about a job from Mc Cain Foods, similar to what I did before but the pay is sooooo good!! And way better than what Simplot paid.
I have to send them a resume. I have not ever written a resume before. I have never had a reason to. So I will be working on that tonight. :headache:

Then comes the dreadful interview. I have not had an interview in like 11 years. So that should be fun also.

 to everyone who needs them.

Deb- Good Luck with the new job prospect :wizard:. You'll do fine on the interview, just be yourself. How could anyone not love you ;).

Now onto some good news.......I just gave my notice at my current job because I was made an offer at another hospital. I will be the new Director of Health Information Management. Its a huge step up for me. I am really excited and totally freaked out at the same time.

Woo Hoo! You go girl!! I'm so excited for you & you deserve it. You're such a hard worker. Congrats!

I hope your mom was able to schedule a visit with a nurse. Keep us updated.

Sarah

Good for her. That's pretty exciting stuff ;). Boys statistically take longer to potty train than girls, but 17 months is really good :thumbsup2.

Good morning and happy thursday divas!

Stacerita congrats on the new job! It sounds wonderful and I KNOW you will do great so stop stressing. Sounds like a great opportunity!

Deb that is awesome about your job interview as well! I really hope you get it!! And have fun today with Capri!

Capri babe I am so sorry about your dad. Both my grandma AND my step grandpa both had really thin skin like that when they were alive and had stuff like that happen ALL the time. They would just BARELY do anything and then they would get huge bruises or tears like your dad. I hope he starts to heal soon and the nurse is able to come by again! Enjoy your lunch with Deb!

Beth I don't understand that thinking of the cops. If someone hits you and runs it should not MATTER if it was in a parking lot or not. That is just WRONG. To me that is still a crime! Good luck and I hope you get it all worked out!!

Teresa glad to see you posting again. Hope you are feeling yourself again!

Janelle I don't know anything about vit D either. I hope you get some answers! Good luck!!

Yesterday was ok. The comission check we were waiting on at work to pay bills didn't come in so I just ran in for a quick second to issue some reimbursement checks and then the girls and I just came back home. Last night we just hung out and they went to church. It was pretty low key. Shane and I are still trying to figure out how all this is going to work and he still wants to go through with a formal separation on paper so we need to discuss that. I told him that I just want to make sure I am protected cuz I NEED my health ins and "some" money since he makes most of it and I don't make hardly any. I STILL don't have anything but we are discussing maybe opening a third account where he will give me some of his check to use towards household bills and the girls etc. So we shall see. It is still kind of awkward trying to get all the details worked out but I keep telling him that no matter WHAT we can't let it get to the level it got to last weekend. We need to make a vow to cut it off before it gets that bad again. So hopefully we can stick to that!

Anyway the girls are still on min days through tomorrow and then I am taking them to get their 2nd swine flu shots today and having my leg looked at. I have had a bruise with a lump on it for days and it has been numb so I am a bit worried about a blood clot. Hopefully that is NOT what it is.

Nothing going tonight except just watching survivor and then tomorrow I have to run back in to work and we were "supposed" to go see the lights for GS but it is supposed to rain so I told the girls I may take them to see Princess and the frog instead. I still have my free tickets that I got at DL when we were there in Oct. Then Sat Katy has her soccer game and Sunday we may still end up getting to do the gingerbread deal at church. The girls asked last night if there was still room and they said yes. So I emailed the church office and if there IS room we are going to go.

Then luckily mom and dad will be home Sunday night and things will hopefully be back to normal on THEIR end anyway and next week is the last week of school before the break!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day today and hey it's almost the weekend!! :) TTYL!

Good Morning my Diva Babes!

Hope everyone is well this morning. I'll be heading out later to meet Debra for lunch. I can't wait to see her so I can give her a big hug! :thumbsup2

Hey Miss Stacerita......CONGRATS ON THE NEW JOB!!! :yay::woohoo::yay:

Vanessa - I'm glad the sale went well, even if your customers are nuts. :goodvibes

Debra - Lots of pixie dust for you so you get that awesome job! :wizard:

Sarah - YEAH for number 2 in the potty! :cheer2:

My goodness...........

I just had time to read back a little and alot of things going on.

Katie, I am so sorry for all of the bad stuff right now.:sad2: So thankful that Laila is fine.:hug: She is the cutest. Hopefully your dryer can be fixed. I will be praying for that job to come through. What kind do you want? Big hugs to you.

:hug:Capri, I hope your Dad is better.:flower3: Have a fun lunch with Deb! :goodvibes

Deb, good luck on the job! :thumbsup2

Stacie, Way to go girl!!! :cheer2:

Beth, did you get into an accident?

Janelle, get into the sun. :sunny: J/K.............I hope you can get it figured out.

Hello Vanessa! Nice to meet you. I think I did before, but I have been MIA, and I can't remember. :rolleyes1

Cheryl, that was nice what you did for Dawn. Sorry you are not playing, but I certainly understand.

Hey, guess what? I talked to Jon Voight. I saw him at the Grand California, and I wished him Merry Christmas. He said it back to me, and we said a little bit about the Candlelight Processional. :littleangel:

Sarah, Yay for poop on the potty chair!! :yay:

Bree, cute sub project!:cutie:

Kelly, hang in there babe!

Ok, that is about as far as I got.

Today, is my day to help Becky in her classroom. I'm doing Santa mobiles with the kids. Then taking my Mom to buy gifts for the grandchildren. :cloud9:

Have a great day! :grouphug:

Good morning ladies!! :sunny:

Another quickie from me for now as I'm still getting the twins ready for school.

Deb and Capri, enjoy lunch. I'm meeting for lunch with Amy and Jane this Sunday. I love that some of us can have these little lunch dates. I only wish it could be more of us and more often.

And Deb, good luck on getting that new job!

Sarah, congrats on your DD! I know what a big deal that is.

Vanessa, have fun at DL. Go relieve some of that stress from working retail this time of year.

Kelly, hope your leg is okay.

Melody sounds like you had a nice time in DL. Back to being busy as ever I see. Good luck with the Santa mobiles, and have fun with the shopping. Oh, and I wasn't in an accident but a drunk driver smashed into the side of our mini van while Ruben was driving. He got the license plate number and is going to the police station today to file a report and see what can be done as it was a hit and run. We'll see.

Hope you all have a great day today and I'll check back later. :)

Hi Divas! I hope everyone is having a marvelous week so far! I know I posted telling you about my submarine so I wanted to show you how it turned out...

love the submarine Bree! Great job :) I remember when you posted on FB you were painting a sub and I commented..I hope its yellow!! lol

I hope it doesn't rain either. And actually, the MousePlanet people offered to refund our team's fee because none of us felt like playing without Dawn--so we donated it to the African Wells thing to kick-off the contributions. So we are not playing.

That sub is AWESOME!!!!
What a great thing to do Cheryl...very special!

Hi everyone.

I am days behind on posts but I need some help and hopefully someone here can help me out.

Does anyone have any experience with being Vitamin D deficient? My levels were low in June, so I was put on a supplement. I've been taking that for 5 months. I just had my levels tested again this week and they are LOWER than they were in June. I'm really worried about this.

Now my Dr wants to put me on 50,000IU once a week for the next 8 weeks.

Everything I'm reading about says this is not a good idea. It can spike my levels too much.

Just hoping someone can give me some advice on this.
My doctors tested me thinking I had low Vit D...but it came back ok, so I don't really have any info to help. Hugs!

My poor dad fell in the shower yesterday evening. His skin is so thin that it just takes a little bump and it rips right off, so you can imagine how much skin ripped off when he fell. My mom couldn't get him up, so she had to call my brother to come over to lift him up off the shower floor. My brother said dad was all cold and shivering, blood just pouring out of him, and that he is TORE OPEN.....almost his entire arm and the front side of one leg.....and looks really bad.....sigh.:sad2: :sad1:

And my mom's car is messed up (shop changed the battery in it, which somehow messed up the programming of the security system and the car's computer system), so my mom has no car while her car is getting fixed. My parents' other car is down in Lake Havasu.....they had to leave it down there because they needed to get my dad home (to Spokane) right away to see his cardiologist, so they didn't have time to drive up.

My brother is in town for some court stuff (he's getting a divorce), so he's using Justin's car to get to/from all his appointments. Justin is using my Escape to get to/from work. So that leaves me with no car either.

Hmmmmmm......where's that bottle of peppermint schnapps? :rolleyes1
yikes! So sorry to hear. Breaks my heart when our parents have hard times.

Wow you guys have been chatty, chatty!!
I will try and catch up later.
Finals are over :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Stacie...congrats on the job!

Today we're only working til 11am and then we're closing the office for our annual office Christmas party....at DL! We go every year (just the girls) and the doc pays for our meals & treats! yippeee!
We're hoping to make it home before the rain hits hard tonight :)

Pixie dust to all! :wizard:

Just a quick good morning from me! I am pages and pages behind, and I'm just getting more and more busy with work as we approach Chriatmas. I hope you all have a great day, and I'll try to read back tonight.
Much love to all!!!

Have you ever read anything by Janet Evanovich or Sidney Sheldon?

Not yet but a friend suggested One for The Money and the others that follow so I got One and Two. And two Dean Koonst books so I should be good.:thumbsup2

I'm trying to remember if the ship has a library. Well I mean I know that it does but I don't know if you can check out books or what types they had.

Have a great Thursday!

I'm pages and pages behind but wanted to stop in a say a quick hi to everyone! I got Christmas cards from Jen, Laurie, Wendy and Stacie today, I love getting so many cards! Mine should be mailed this afternoon, I have to work but my DH is going to go across the border and mail them for me:)

Hugs to everyone who needs one:hug:

Oooh, good idea to go across the border to mail them, Angie!! I just paid a fortune to mail mine (most were international, so expensive ) You should have gone though and made a quick stop at the Outlet Mall while you were there :rolleyes1 (not that that's what I would do or anything - really!!)
