I know you are Capri - and you are just the best. And it breaks my heart to hear about all the bad stuff you and your family has endured these past few months. But we are ok, really we are:thumbsup2. I just want everyone to treat me the same and not feel sorry for me - KWIM? Because I am a really strong woman. And we have a lot to be thankful for. We both have great jobs and Brianne is just such a gem - she had a fabulous time with DH while I was in Vegas with my diva friends.:cutie:

Anyway, I agree, I hate cancer too. But we will deal with it the best we can. I am off to bed, have to catch up on sleep after my Vegas trip. Night all.;)

Oh, Linda. Cancer is all too familiar in our family too. It can be beat, and your hubby is putting up a heck of a fight. You guys are in my prayers, 2010 will be a better year, for all of us.

For 2010 I pray my Momma finds a job! Bless her heart, she's been applying everywhere. I really hope she gets hired soon, not so much for the pay, but just to ease her mind. She's so worried and stressed. And my Dad has been working his booty off. He always has though.

You ARE a really strong woman, and I won't treat you any different. I love you and Breezy, and I will continue to treat you like that.....because you two mean so much to me regardless of any circumstances, good or bad.

The only funny thing here.....since our ladies trip theme this year is Pirate Princess (right?), it's fitting that I am the cursed Black Pearl of the group. Maybe I should get a shirt that says that and wear it during our trip - LOL. :goodvibes
Will you be bringing Capt. Jack with you then? :yay: pirate:

I am working a double today...my mom is home sick, my dh is home sick...I am hoping the kids are ok...Only 3 hours 45 minutes to go!
Sending get well wishes their way! :wizard:

But we remain positive and honestly think he will beat it in 2010, so hear hear to the new year. Right?

Right. Hear, hear! All you can do is stay positive and our thoughts and prayers will be with you, him, and Bree. :grouphug:

I had a much needed fun trip to Vegas. I just love Doris, Cheryl, Marcie and Beth -they are the best!:dance3:
Aww, the feeling is mutual! I had so much with you all. This couldn't have come at a better time, for all of us, I think. Thanks for making it such a great weekend.

I HATE cancer!
Me too. It's taken too many loved ones, and destroyed so many families and lives. I just hate it. :guilty:

 Capri - I've been there. I did my bachelor's through Phoenix and as much as I like the idea of learning teams it seemed like the majority of the ones I was on had major issues (ie created a lot more work for the available team members).

 Linda - You are such a strong woman! You outlook on your situation is wonderful. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

 Kate - I hope that things turn around for you in the near future. Love what your daughter did when hearing/seeing the Disney commercial.

Courtney I mailed the entertainment card this past weekend. Let me know when you get it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it gets there before you leave.

I saw Beth's pictures from Vegas and it looks like you all had a great time.

I hope you all have a nice evening. I'm working on my kids' advent calendar so it will be ready for them in the morning and I need to move our elf Lewis too so I need to get moving.

Steph

Afternoon gals! Am back from work. What a stressful day. Glad that is over. Mom has a bunch of deals that are just NOT going well. She has one client she has been working with for several months that is REALLY picky and they FINALLY found a house they loved, made an offer and now it has a TON of other offers and theirs was rejected. She was fighting it out with that one all day. Plus we have another one that has been in escrow since August and OUR client moved into a new house so is paying two mortgages (ONLY becuase it was supposed to close MONTHS ago) and then it didn't because it is contingent on his buyer's house selling and the people buying THEIR house are jerking them around. It is a long ugly story but the other buyer is a doctor and he is being a REAL jerk. The buyers of OUR client's home are in their 80's trying to sell their ranch that they can NO longer take care of and really NEED to get rid of and this doctor is being a real ***! He knows that he can take his time and is not only making THOSE people's lives hell but our client's as well. Then we have ANOTHER deal up in Truckee where the client has been wishy washy for days and the builder has spent thousands trying to put this custom home together and he keeps threatening to walk and he calls my mom and yells at her about every 3 days and finally my mom told him LOOK do you want to by this house or not! I don't hear her lose her temper very often but she had HAD it! So pretty much every deal she has is a nightmare and like I said she is about to leave town so I am NOT looking forward to all this mess she is going to leave me with LOL.

Welcome to my life Kelly! I supervise/support/train (broker) for 125 agents. We close about 60 or transactions a month right now and every stinkin one of them is a battle to get closed between the lenders, the sellers, the appraisers and the buyers themselves! I am completely grey now!

And here is a giant hug for all of you ladies. Geesh, life is just too darn challenging on some days, isn't it??:grouphug: Okay, decided it would be a hug WITH you all instead:)

My hubby is an appraiser (and a poor one these days - hahaha), and he's going completely grey himself. It's such a frustrating process. I won't go into details here about it, but the lenders are their own worse enemy.

Will you be bringing Capt. Jack with you then? :yay: pirate:

Ohhhhh, well heck......I WISH! I think that would make up for all of us having a crappy year! Showing up with Capt. Jack at the slumber party.....in his jammies. How can picturing that in your head not make your smile?!!

Nighty night ladies.

A few thoughts.

Linda, Bless you and Bree. You are a strong woman. I've seen you a couple of times since you have found out about your DH, and would have never known what you have been going through. I will definitely keep your DH, you and Bree in my prayers. Thankyou for sharing that with us. That's what we are here for. In the meantime, I'm so glad that you and she are a part of the DIS board gang. Also glad that you had a fabulous time in Vegas. What fun. :dance3: Take care.

Capri, what is that saying? "If life is a bowl of cherries, why am I in the pits?" Or something like that.
One of these days you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank goodness you can count on that. We will just have to pray that it is right around the corner. Take care.

Katie, it sounds like you could use a hug too. THe story about Laila is just too adorable. Too bad she couldn't do a commercial for Disney! :cloud9:

Well I am tired. I have tried to get as much done as possible, before I go play. I'm really looking forward to this trip. Kind of needed at the moment.

I am going to try and get Sally's box out to her this Friday. I hope I will have received all the packages by then. If any of you have plans, please do it soon. Vicki, your package came today. Thanks everyone.

Have a great week.

Mel:grouphug:

PS- Beth your comment about Captain Jack was pretty funny. Good one! LOL!

Cheryl, wherever you are. I hope you had a good time in Vegas too. I know that Beth said it was fun.

Oh, but something did make me all warm & fuzzy.

Has anyone seen the Disneyland holiday commercial with the "It's a Small World" song in it??

Well on Saturday night, my DS & I were watching TV with the baby. She had fallen asleep, but when that commercial come on she popped up & started smiling and swaying to the song. Then she grabbed my purse & kept saying "bye, bye" & walked towards the door. She wanted to go to Disneyland .

I LOVE this!! Thanks for that. Katie, wishing you some good news.

Courtney, here's hoping your mom gets a good job soon. If you tend to get cold, a hat and gloves will really help.

I don't know if anyone else saw this, but the free gift for the first 1,000 people at the AP shopping event coming up on Saturday is a vinylmation.

So, Cristabel, that should be motivation enough for you to get up early and join in the fun!

I knew this was happening at WDW, but is it happening at Wod in DTD too? Special vinylmation...? Oh dear. What time does this start? Details please.

Rochelle~ Cute boots.

We had a good weekend here. It was nice visiting with Cheryl, her mom Doris, Linda and Marcie. Doris is a blast! I loved meeting her. I think everyone had a lot of fun. It was much needed. I'll be putting some pics up on FB later as will the others I'm sure, once they are able.
:)

Yes, really cute boots, Rochelle!
Beth, I adore Doris. She is an inspiration. A total blast.

I think a lot of us have had a crappy year in one way or another.

But we remain positive and honestly think he will beat it in 2010, so hear hear to the new year. Right?

Yes, this has been a truly crappy year for many of us, and I for one will not be sad to say bye bye to it. You are right, 2010 is right around the corner. You and Bree have been very strong this year and have kept your wonderful spirits!

Oh, that's great you won! And that you had such a wonderful time.

Will you be bringing Capt. Jack with you then? :yay: pirate:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao:
:

Heather, hope you feel better. Deb, you sound a lot better.

Capri, that is so crummy. I hope your instructor knows that you rose to the occasion.

:wizard::wizard::wizard: for all who need it!

Will you be bringing Capt. Jack with you then? :yay: pirate:

I prefer Cap'n Morgan.....:drinking1

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: Good luck to her!

Ditto!

And here is a giant hug for all of you ladies. Geesh, life is just too darn challenging on some days, isn't it??:grouphug: Okay, decided it would be a hug WITH you all instead:)

Thanks...I needed that today.

Special hugs for Deb

Sarah

Thanks!!

Capri~

Linda ~

For everyone else :grouphug:

Ok I think I am off to dreamland...I have a micro test in the morning, a Med term test in the afternoon and somewhere in there I need to find a nap.

I swear I never knew that a blood transfusion and all the happenings of last wk could make a person so sleepy. I am just so exhausted!

WendylouWhoo....seester this is for you....

These vinylmations kind of creep me out!

Heather, hope you feel better. Deb, you sound a lot better.

:wizard::wizard::wizard: for all who need it!

Thanks. I am not sure if I am better, or if I am just not whining about it much this wk. :rotfl:
Really I am not whiner, but man after my knee surgery and now this, I am not sure I have complained so much about being in pain before ever.

But thanks for putting up with me.

For 2010 I pray my Momma finds a job!

I really hope she does! My prayers are with her. :thumbsup2

 Capri - I've been there. I did my bachelor's through Phoenix and as much as I like the idea of learning teams it seemed like the majority of the ones I was on had major issues (ie created a lot more work for the available team members).

Steph, I didn't know you did your bachelors at Phoenix! Yeah, the IDEA of learning teams is one thing.....it's a great theory on paper. But the reality of the learning teams is quite another. The learning teams make the process of going to college all the more stressful because there's always one or two members of the team who actually DO the work. Everyone else just coasts along for the ride. It wouldn't bother me so much if I just wanted to "pass" the class so I could get my Masters and move on in life, but.....I just can't do that. Yes, maybe it's dumb at this point in my life, but I really do care about the grade. I want that "A", you know? :goodvibes

Capri, what is that saying? "If life is a bowl of cherries, why am I in the pits?" Or something like that.
One of these days you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank goodness you can count on that. We will just have to pray that it is right around the corner. Take care.

Melody, that saying is too funny! It made me laugh, and I needed a good laugh!

You're right, I will eventually see the light at the end of the tunnel. That's what I focus on to keep moving forward towards my Masters degree. Although, I now realize why going to college is better when you're young.....and carefree.....and free of responsibilities. But, now that I'm a "non-traditional" student (which is PC for old - LOL!), I'll appreciate my education even more. When you're young, you just don't have that same appreciation it seems.

Ladies, there are always other ways to watch tv. :rolleyes1 TMI I know.

Unlike us, they NEED to watch some form of it.

Enough said.

:rotfl2: ;) :rotfl2:

Oh, but something did make me all warm & fuzzy.

Katie, I'm so sorry you're going through such tough times too, but this story is too freakin' cute! I love it! :rotfl:
