Hi Ladies!! :wave2: We're having a BBQ for Derek today.....he boards his plane tonight for the Disney College Program at WDW. We're putting him up for one night at the Pop Century Resort since he has to be there early Monday morning for the check in. He's already made contacts & has his 3 roommates figured out. He's also meeting up with a lot of other CPer's for dinner tomorrow night at the Rainforest Cafe in DTD. He's pretty excited & seems to have everything lined up.....it's me that's an emotional wreck!! :sad1: So happy for him but I'm sure gonna miss having him around!!

I also get to wake up at 2:45am to do our WDW ADR's online at 3am. I'm excited to see how I do!! I do have a PTR going HERE if you're looking for a lengthy read......lol :rotfl2:

Have a great weekend!!

My grandson is in the CP .... started in Jan 2012 and his end date is in Aug but he is hoping to extend until Jan 2013. He is at the All Star Resorts in the shops but hopes to move to HS shops or attractions in Aug. I think it's great the way they all "meet" prior to the program so that they go into it with the feeling of not being alone. Good luck to your son in the program! :thumbsup2

Success!!! I found a lime green t-shirt at Target this morning. Now just waiting for my next color search. Too bad most of my clothing is either white or black! :scared1:

That's awesome......Derek is there until Jan 2013, not sure he'll extend or just try to get on for employment. We figure he won't be coming home.

Thank goodness for social networking....I think it makes it even easier for these kids to transition in.

My DGS is planning on extending, then establishing residency in FL so he can go to school and at this time no plans to come back to CA! Sad for me but happy for him ..... of course that just means more trips to WDW!!! :rotfl2:

So we just finished celebrating my sons first birthday party, and I promised a few photos, so here we go. :)

I think the cake was a hit with the birthday boy! We had a great day, and everything turned out perfect. :lovestruc

LOL! Nothing cuter than a birthday baby with CAKE FACE!

Howdy all! Hope everyone had a good Saturday! We had fun at the graduation party, but DANG, is it WINDY here today! And the party was, of course, outdoors at their family ranch. But it was fun. And I ate too much. So now I'm all sleepy, but I've got stuff I need to do. I keep hoping I'll get a second wind and wake up some, but I'm beginning to doubt it!

What a CUTE cake!!!!! Adorable!!
I have to say, tie dye may make me cancel my plans to come....LOL ;) I like lime green better haha!!
Spent today running errands and cleaning the house and yard, it looks gooooood for our BBQ tomorrow. :) Now we are just chilling, watching some TV. Oh we went to 5 Guys for lunch...OMG so good!!!! It's going to be dangerous having that so close to home....haha!

Linda~ Yay for finding a shirt!

Aww...what a cute cake and adorable baby! You know, babies just don't understand how long it must have taken to pipe out all of those flowers...:rotfl:

I finally updated my blog, and added the scavenger hunt we have done with the boys when we go to Disneyland. Please check it out and follow me if you are into that sort of thing :) I am still learning some of the ropes (like how to post multiple blog posts on my tabs.)

I have a few extra pink shirts from last year if you are interested. Not sure what size you need, but if you or any other newbie here is, just give me a PM, and I'll look at what I can do :goodvibes
Stars????? Hmmmmmmmmm

Sigh. I realize you're getting older (how many days until your birthday??????), but we totally discussed the colors a looooooong time ago. Let me jog your poor memory. Everyone agreed that since tie dye is so easy and popular, it's going to be all tie dye, all the time. Throw in some sparkles and it's practically perfect :thumbsup2 No worries, you can thank me later for keeping you on track :hippie:

Ooooh, yeah. I should also remind everyone that contrary to what the ever forgetful Capri said, the M&G theme is my birthday party - woo hoo!! No exchange necesssary, just bring me gifts!! It's gonna be EPIC!!!!!

So stars it is. I bet something to do with Dancing with the Stars, right?????
Theresa, can I just say how much I enjoy your humor, but more important of all, is that you are coming next year! Yay!:yay::hug:

Does that mean we are going to have to wear little spandex sparkly outfits???:scared1: If thats the case... Whos bailing me out of jail for knocking some poor unsuspecting child out with my runaway blub???:scared1::scared1::lmao:

I have more exciting news.. I got another nibble on my craigslist add.. A local photographer asked if I could do up 20 baby bonnets for her. I said.. OH CAN I!! :rotfl2: I know I can do those, because Ive done them for my kids a ton. and then she tacked on three of four other little things she needs done. I was like.. OOOOOHHHHH YEAAAAHHH. I havent gotten a final confirmation from her, but she sounded really interested.. REALLY interested. I have my fingers crossed. and my bananas a dancing. Can you tell this is the first time Ive worked in ten years? and doing something I LOVE! and Im actually GOOD at? :lmao: Im such a dork. Plus.. It will give me a valid reason to avoid the inlaws. :lmao:
LOL Megan!
No spandex! :rotfl: You crack me up!

You go girl on your sewing! :thumbsup2 Just be careful on taking on too much. Been there, done that! :upsidedow :faint:

Tie dye??? We don't need no stinking tie dye!

That Mickey cake to soooo cute!!!

I found out today why my tooth is moving. The roots have completely separated so each root is moving away from the other. There is no fix for this so it has to be pulled. Other than that it was a pretty good day. Nice weather for some yard work. My tomatoe plants are doing so good. Can't wait for them to ripen to make salsa.

PS. Theresa....I am with you on the tye-dye ;)

:thumbsup2 All the cool kids are!!

Theresa, can I just say how much I enjoy your humor, but more important of all, is that you are coming next year! Yay!:yay::hug:

HA - you think I'm joking?????? :rolleyes1 But yes, I'm coming next year. I has my roomies all sorted out, booked me the finest that Hojo has to offer - it's gonna be fun times!!

Sure, Theresa. That's right. All tie dye, all the time. Yep, for sure. :thumbsup2 Thanks so much to your brilliant self for reminding me. You're right - I'm getting too old and I completely forgot!! Whatever would I do without you???

Ah, you're too kind - and everyone can see that you're agreeing.... no take backs!!!!!

I've got a lime green t that I want to tie-dye with navy and do the Mickey Head Tie-Dye on. I think that would be a nice way to "tone down" the green.

That sounds cute - good idea :thumbsup2

Tie dye??? We don't need no stinking tie dye!

:scared1: Say wuh????

LOL! This is a classic quote! :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:
I'm Still giggling over it!

Oh Theresa.....?? popcorn::

I'm a little shocked. Mel, I said we could add sparkles - now THAT's what's classic, right??

LOL! Another classic! I'm getting such a good laugh that I have tears in my eyes! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Don't cry - I'll make a cute tie dye shirt for you too!

I have to say, tie dye may make me cancel my plans to come....LOL ;) I like lime green better haha!!

Weeeellllll.............. I'll just say that lime green makes some of THE best tie dye. FOR. REALS.

Can I just say too cute with the baby cake face! I miss that (not enough to go back for more, but still)

Megan, congrats on the business. I saw some of your pics and you do an awesome job. I'm always so amazed at how talented some of the divas are (yes, I'm jealous.... just don't tell anyone)

yowza! That sounds painful! Maybe now you can get a gold grill....they are so stylish right now :rotfl:

So, I just applied for a few business jobs within the Disney Corporation. I technically qualify, but since I have never worked in the business sector, only retail and education, I am unsure if they will even call me. Please send me your prayers and pixie dust! The DH basically said that since I am the one with the degree, it is up to me to find the lucrative job that will move us (and I really want to move closer to DL!)

OMGGGGGG!!! I just died of cutness overload..ahhhhh!! The cake was awesome but the birthday boy was just too perfect for words..awwwww !!

I'm such a sucker for kids , lol.

Work was so relaxed tonight it definitely was a change from the last few weeks/months , and I am NOT complaining. That and our random audit was done when I had my days off ( YES!) and is done with another year makes me a super happy camper. Now to get through 4 more days of work..and theeeeeen....DISNEYLAND. I'm not excited or anything

What an incredibly cute cake and baby. Brings back memories--of the kids covered with cake not the cute cake, I was never that creative :sad1:

I went to to the CarsLand preview yesterday with my DD. It was amazing. We walked in from Pacific Warf and entered Ornament Valley from the arch. My DD and I both got chills all iver seeing that amzing mountain range. I suggest everyone who goes for the first time enters from here instead of the "street" I think the impact is greater. The animitronics in Racers is absolutely incredible. The ride is fun too, but wd both wished the car went faster. Test Track at Epcot goes faster, but Racers has "bumby hills" like you find near the end of CA Screamin,, which is fun. We thought the left car road was better than the right, but that waa only from 2 data points, so we'll see. We loved Mater Junkyard Jamboree. It's a kid ride, but the way if whips you around was way fun. Luigies Flying Tires was our least favorite. They don't go fast enough.

The food is really rich, but I guess one would expect that from "diners" on Route 66. We ordered one French toast to share and were disappointed by how incredibly small it was until tasted it--very, very rich. Neither of us could have eaten more than a half.

(btw excuse typos, I'm on my phone)

One of CM benefits for this preview is we got 50%off all food in DCA this day, so I decided to take advantage and eat at Ariels Grotto. At $40 a plate I've never gone, but at $20, I could do that. It was good and we were sure stuffed, but it certainly wasn't worth $40--$20 yes but not $40. We did get pictures with all the princesses though. It was fun, just not $40/plate fun.

I can't wait to go with DH onthe 19th. I already asked him to take the day off, so we can see everything together.

I just sent you a pm about the pink shirts. Thanks!

Tie dye??? We don't need no stinking tie dye! Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's the only way you're seeing lime green on me. LOL

Thanks for that tip! I'll definitely do that when I go at the end of July!

Good morning, Divas! Here's to hoping I have a productive day in the craft cave. I'm at the 37 day mark until Convention and I have NADA, ZIP, ZILCH, SQUAT done. NOT. GOOD. I've *got* to make some progress this week or come next Sunday when I hit the one month mark, I'm gonna completely FREAK. OUT. :scared1: For reals. LOL Of course, last night I was going to head in there and I got distracted on this time sucker known as the DIS and instead ended up reading Laurie's 46 page PTR. :surfweb: And my stamping friends wonder WHY I don't have a computer in the craft room..... :rolleyes1

We've lost the "gale force winds" we had yesterday, but the whole area is under a Red Flag fire warning. It's still breezy and the temp is going to be up 10 to 15 degrees from yesterday. Bleh. We're looking at, or close to, 100 later in the week. Double bleh.

Have a great day!

I love the review of Carsland! We are so excited to see it :goodvibes

Tonight is our annual Jello Flop with our youth group. We have a 10x7 foot pool and 330 gallons of jello to flop in! This is going to be so awesome!!!
