A quick hello ladies.

Got a call Monday night from my old best bud from HS in So Cal. She had an opportunity to stay 2 nights free at a 5 star resort called the Calistoga Ranch in the Napa Valley area. The catch was that I had to be able to leave the next day. LOL....talk about getting ready and taking off quick a minute. So she and another friend swung by here on the way and picked me up.
Anywhos, the place was unbelievable. It had 2 bedrooms, an outdoor living area with fireplace. a full blown kitchen with the most expensive appliances, outdoor jacuzzi, shower and so on. It goes for $2000.00 a night on the internet. Youza! Anywhos, all for free. This was the kind of place the rich and famous escape to, so i got to hang out with the mucky mucks. Actually, we were so excluded, that we hardly saw anyone.

So, how is everyone?

Surprisingly no. But I can't wait to find out if I'll have a grandson or grand daughter and the name. Nicole and Bill don't know what they're having and are mum on the names they have chosen.

I was at Michael's today. You know you have too much craft stuff when you have a 50% coupon and don't see anything you want to use it on. LOL

Happens to me all the time but I just can't leave the store without using one of those coupons. I will search and search until I find something, even if it's just a cheapy item. Seems like such a waste to use a 50% off coupon on a notepad.

I handed my coupon to someone in line on the way out. They were out of my $6 adhesive that I will usually use a coupon on if I can't find something. LOL

Yes I did!! I used it after I had spent some time in the jacuzzi...... Such is the life!

I found hot pink at Michael's, it's the Duff brand, I'm excited, I just hope they turn out the way I want them to. But they probably won't because I'm too critical of my own work. LOL
I saw the stuff by Duff too. But I went the cheaper route. Tell me how you liked it.

Went to Chevy's with my friend tonight, had a Kiwi Margarita and some chicken flautas, paid with a $20 and got $11 back, after tip. Not bad I think! Can't beat a $3 Margarita.

I had 2 coupons, 1 for 40% off 1 item and 1 for 15% off my whole purchase, since I had 2 I gave one to the lady behind me, she was super excited.

Mel, I will definitely let you know how it goes, I liked the Duff set, it had 4 colors, pink, green, purple and a bright blue, it was $7.99 so I wasn't complaining. I need to try to play with it soon tho.....the birthday is on Wednesday! I didn't give myself much time.

It's hot here today. 86!! I am not happy about this.

it's pouring here right now, started this morning with pouring rain, then it stopped for most of the day but it's pouring again now. I can hear it on my patio cover. It's going to be amazing when the flowers start to bloom!

We didn't actually go into either area. To the extent of my knowledge both are still hard hat areas (Buena Vista Street for sure) since construction is still going on. As the rides in Cars Land (I'm assuming you mean Radiator Springs Racers which is the big E ticket ride) the only things I have heard about having Fast Pass are as a guest so nope, can't say a thing!

Capri that stinks about all the rain. We have had a weird March too. We got NO rain all winter and the ski resorts were really hurting and then FINALLY we have had quite a bit for March. In fact the girls start swim on Monday and I am hoping it doesn't continue but afraid it will. Stinks sitting outside in the cold and rain and they swim no matter what. Unless there is lightening.

It is weird too because they predicted this huge storm yesterday and I got up and there was a lot of wind but blue skies. I hadn't planned on doing much but since the weather looked nice the girls and I went out to run errands and by the first stop it was raining. We still had fun but ended up coming home earlier than planned.

Today we are hoping to go with my mom and see Mirror Mirror.

Good Morning! It's baby day! My sister and her fiancé have been at the hospital since 1:30am and they are saying the baby should be here by mid-afternoon.

I guess the mid-wife just broke her water to bring on stronger contractions. .

Beth – I could not do the heat in Las Vegas!! If you ever want to escape, the bay area has incredible weather and we have a nice guest room!

We are off to go skiing tomorrow for Spring Break at Mammoth. It has been such a lousy ski season that this is our first time up! Hope I am not too rusty!

Hi everyone,

I haven't had a chance to read back at all but I wanted to let you all know that I went and visited Vicki (bsblgrl) on sunday. She is doing so much better than I thought she would be doing! It was great to see her. Her speach is quite good, she has good movement of one arm and was sitting up in her wheelchair with no problem. She told me she is still having some vision problems and is still working on her other arm and her legs. She can walk some and is getting better all the time. She is hoping to be coming on the trip this coming year. Just wanted you all to know!

It's a GIRL!

First my sisters fiancé said it was a boy but quickly said April Fools. I couldnt be there at the hospital but my mom had me on speaker phone when he announced it and then they texted me the video.

They named her Violet Star Beck. 7lbs 13ozs

My grandma's middle name is Violet and her mom's first name was Violet. My sister's middle name is Star too.

Please don't say anything to my mom on Facebook just yet since my sister and Bill are still telling people the news.

I can't wait to meet my niece tomorrow!

Good morning, ladies! Monday rears it's ugly head once again! But, it's not too bad here since the kids are on break. No morning rush. Ruben works Mon-Wed this week, then has a four day weekend.

I'm working on finding fun local things for us to do. So far, so good! We've been using Groupon, the radio shopping show (which has discounts for local restaurants/shows), and just regular locals discounts/coupons to find things to do. I'm turned it into my own personal challenge!

We went out for Mexican food on Saturday and used a Groupon there. Then yesterday we took our annual passes to Spring Preserve and spent the day there. We followed that with a picnic in the park. Later this week we have more coupons and discounts to use up.

It's not a trip to Disney or anything grand, lol, but we are still having a nice time. Today Noelle has a friend coming over, but we're just staying home.
After all, I do still have laundry/cleaning to do!







Trudi and Sarah! Congrats to you Grandma and Auntie! I saw the photos and Violet is just precious!! Trudi, I took Adam to Disneyland for the first time at 6 months. I still have his baby Mickey ears. So, do you think you'll even wait that long??


Bridget, the weather here cooled down! It was 86 on Saturday, then only in the upper 60's yesterday. So, I won't need that guest room just yet, but this summer when we have 3-4 months straight of triple digit temps, I might take you up on that offer.

We're cleaning today too. And maybe, just maybe, if I can pull up my wimpy boot straps and get to it....I'll get our taxes done. Usually I do them early, but this year I suck, plain and simple.
