BIO-FREEZE is my friend!!! My chiropractor turned me on to it years ago. I get mine from the BX, not sure how much it was (Scott picked it up for me) though.

Well, I made it in 9 minutes 37 seconds!!!
Chili and cornbread is on the menu for the night. Good evening all!!

I can't find it anywhere our here in the civvy world. lol I should have you buy me some from the BX! LOL :) Your dinner sounds yummy!! I got stuff to make chili last night, maybe that's what's for dinner tomorrow. :)

Awwwwww..... poor kitties! Hopefully your sister is giving the one that wants attention plenty of it. And hopefully #2 will either warm up to her or you will get into a pet-friendly living arrangement soon!

I'm fairly confident there is already quite a bit of planning going on..... ;)

Well, I'm getting lots done around the house since hubby has been off at work yesterday and again today. Hopefully, this trend will continue..... LOL Today is GROCERY SHOPPING. Oh, joy. LOL

I did my grocery shopping last night, in the pouring rain, it was not fun but there were sales I could not miss. lol

Busy at work again this week, ready for the weekend to just get here already! It's killing me! lol No plans for the weekend yet, but as we all know that's going to change in a heartbeat! LOL

I have a friend who's birthday is coming up, every birthday/holiday this friend makes spectacular cupcakes for everyone so I'm going to make some for her! Her birthday is next Wednesday and we have a concert to go to so I'm going to bring them. :) Mine won't be as awesome as hers but I think it will make her smile. :) I'm going to see if I can find some zebra print cupcake toppers and maybe some hot pink food coloring, any suggestions on where to find that? LOL I'm thinking I might try to make the cupcakes themselves zebra stripes, like making white and black cake mix and swirling it together in the cake tin? What do you think?

I think that sounds really cool! I wouldn't even know how to begin doing that. Would love to see pics of the finished cupcakes! I am sure they will give your friend a big smile. :)

Hello, ladies!! Is it just me, or is this week crawling along.... :sad2:

Helloooooo!

Just looked at first page. Looks great Beth! You rock:)
Thanks! It's as current as it can get right now. lol

Beth~ That's one reason I don't go to the movies much, because there is no way I'll bring Laila to a movie that is not age appropriate for her and I don't have anyone (except my teens) to watch her so if there is a movie I really want to see, most of the time I'm just SOL and have to wait for it to come out to DVD.
Yep, I remember those days when my kids were little. Ruben and I watched a lot of DVDs!

Yea, I noticed that too. Maybe lots of laundry to do or trips to plan....:confused3
Well, laundry is a daily occurrence around here. It never ends... :laundy:

As for trips to plan, not much luck with that here. I planned a SoCal Easter trip to spend the holiday with my inlaws and that fell through due to the high cost of rental minivans. (we have to rent one, ours is as old as dirt and won't make the trek) And now my summertime trip plans are on hold due to my husband's work schedule. Maybe the universe is telling me to stay home!!

So, when do you guys/we get to start planning things out like themes for the M&G, etc? I am guessing that is a little while off, but just curious when that fun stuff starts. :goodvibes

Also, what holidays do you do gift exchanges. I think that would be a lot of fun too. :)
The fun stuff has started!! :cool1: Behind the scenes that is. The Meet and Greet committee has already been working hard on ideas and themes. So, no worries there. :)

As for gift exchanges, I'll typically do a Halloween exchange. Sign-ups for that will start in September. And we do a Christmas stocking exchange. That will start in November. They are a lot of fun!
I tried to do a summer one last year, but the interest just wasn't there. I think summer is already too busy of a time.... :confused3

Today is GROCERY SHOPPING. Oh, joy. LOL
I detest grocery shopping. I've been keeping better track of our expenses, and it's just incredible how much everything costs. I try to shop sales, use coupons, etc, but still.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to stop in and tell everyone thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. It's meant a great deal to me. :grouphug:
:grouphug: Aw, we loves ya, Capri! Our thoughts are with you. :grouphug:

Mine won't be as awesome as hers but I think it will make her smile. :) I'm going to see if I can find some zebra print cupcake toppers and maybe some hot pink food coloring, any suggestions on where to find that?

Sounds cool. Maybe try Michaels? I have a friend who lives to bake and decorate for every occasion and holiday out there. She goes all out. Most of her baking supplies, toppers, icings, etc come from online websites. Try doing some Google searches and see what turns up.

I don't have any tips for you on how to make the actual cupcakes (I'm not very domestic), but if it becomes really complicated, I would just try to find Zebra cupcake wrappers and then decorate with pink frosting. They should still be cute.

No matter how they turn out, I'm sure she would just appreciate that you thought of her. I know I would :).

Hello, ladies!! Is it just me, or is this week crawling along.... :sad2:

Tell me about it!! I woke up this morning thinking it was Friday. Imagine my disappointment when I realized it was only Wednesday :eek:.

Yep, I remember those days when my kids were little. Ruben and I watched a lot of DVDs!

Only once did I let my kids have a little fun at the movies. I let them do cartwheels down the aisle, of course we were the only ones in the theater at the time. Otherwise they knew how to sit still have behave.

Just a few more days until my grandbaby is due but there are no signs of it being in any hurry. I'm just hoping it's on the weekend. It will be a pain to have to call all the day care parents to pick up at a moments notice. Even though they all know that might happen.

The Scavy Hunt committee also has some plans in the works. I'm not sure when details for the scavenger hunt and M&G will be posted here, but more than likely it will be in the fall sometime.

Hi everyone,

I haven't had a chance to read back at all but I wanted to let you all know that I went and visited Vicki (bsblgrl) on sunday. She is doing so much better than I thought she would be doing! It was great to see her. Her speach is quite good, she has good movement of one arm and was sitting up in her wheelchair with no problem. She told me she is still having some vision problems and is still working on her other arm and her legs. She can walk some and is getting better all the time. She is hoping to be coming on the trip this coming year. Just wanted you all to know!

Take care,
SarahMay

Hey everyone!

So this evening it was nice enough out, that we decided to take our little man to the park for the first time. It was a hit, and I just thought I'd share a photo, if you don't mind. :goodvibes

I don't know the back story on this, but glad to hear that she is improving and seems to be in good spirits!

That's great news. Thanks for letting us know, Sarah. I hope she continues to improve and is able to make the next trip. That would be great!

Thanks for the info, it sounds like she is doing well. Looking forward to seeing her on the next trip. I got to spend time with her when a bunch of us went over to Ca. Ad. last trip. She just fit right in even though she didn't know any of us.:)

Hey Gals! Guess what I did today??? I applied for a job at the Disney Store. I guess I just want to be a CM:thumbsup2

They already called me for an interview. It will be a group interview on Wednesday. Anyone have any tips for me?? I haven't been on a real job interview for a lot of years, and never on a group interview.

Trudi how exciting. I bet you can't wait!!

Sarah thanks for the update on Vicki. Glad to hear she is doing so well!

Andrea what a little cutie patootie!! :)

Tracey how exciting. Our closest Disney store is a ways from where I live or I would consider working there too. I think it would be so fun!! Of course my dream is to work at one of the theme parks someday but doubt that will ever happen. But it is fun to dream. ;) Good luck to you!!

I am thisclose from quitting my job. Yesterday, I was lectured (again!), this time for taking jury duty and not postponing it - even though I gave work 3 weeks notice and informed them that summer postponement would not work since I would not have care for my kids.n I was also lectured on how messy my office is - when I tried to explain that my stuff is all filed and it was the other teacher's work that was making the mess, I was ignored.

I am so sick of being picked on, never encouraged, and feeling left-out by the other full time teachers. It is not worth the stress or the 45 minute drive anymore. I hate to dissapoint some of the students, but this envoirnment is awful.

Good morning, ladies!! :cool1: It's almost Friday! Yay!! Then my kids will be on Spring Break. Not that we really have any plans anymore. But, oh well. Maybe we can find some fun things to do around the area. Locals freebies and such. Try to make the best of it since Ruben had already taken some time off for our vacation that fell through. Gotta roll with the punches I guess! :thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a good day!

That's awesome, Tracey!
I was hired at the Disney Store in the Glendale Galleria (in CA) many, many moons ago. This was so long ago, it was back when they used to wear those gray skirts, and blue sweaters. Anyone remember those uniforms?? :rotfl: Probably early 90's.... '92 or '93.

We did a group interview. I was with 3 others. Same as a regular interview, just we each took turns answering the questions. It was weird but I guess they are still doing it that way.
I worked there for exactly two days and quit. I hated it. :rolleyes1 The management were like drill sergeants. Smiling on the floor, and barking at everyone behind the scenes. Just miserable people. I realized shopping there was more fun than working there. :rotfl:

Of course now I almost never set foot in a Disney store. My kids have all outgrown Disney. I went a few weeks ago when we were at the mall and basically walked in and walked out realizing there was nothing there for anyone in my family. :sad2:

Anyway, good luck to you!!! :wizard: And if you get hired, which I'm sure you will, hopefully your supervisors are a lot nicer. ;)

Aw Jen, that is awful. I'm sorry. I wonder why they wouldn't listen to your explanation? If it's not your stuff making the mess, why would they want to blame you for it unfairly? That's not right.

Awww Jen, I'm sorry to hear this. Hope things get better for you.

As for me, I'm hanging in there. I still get emotional from time to time, but I'm not bolting awake in the middle of the night from nightmares and anxiety anymore, which happened every night during my dad's final days. But sometimes, even though he was sick for quite a while, I still can't believe he's gone. Kinda weird, huh? :confused3

Last night a girlfriend took me out for a little while and treated me to a couple huckleberry mojitos - YUM! The only two places I've been the past several days is my house and my mom's house, so it was nice to get out and away from everything that's been going on and have some fun girlfriend time/conversation. Oh, she treated me to a beer too. What's an evening without a beer? ;)

Good luck!! I've never been on a group interview either, wonder if they want to see how you interact with others.....weird! Let us know how it goes!!

 I'm sorry, that really sucks! :( I hope something gets better soon!

My girls are on Spring Break starting tomorrow.....today is their last day of school and they go back Tuesday 4-3. Weird break schedule but it is what it is. :) It makes no difference to me, I have to work either way. LOL The fun part is tomorrow I get to leave work and go straight to Happy Hour at Chevy's with my girlfriend! :) I'm excited about that! We haven't done it in a while, it will be good to catch up with her. She works at the High School Cass goes to so she will be on Spring Break too, we will just meet there and share an appetizer (or two) and I'll probably have a Margarita as well. I wish Micah was closer, he and I could do Happy Hour then! LOL Unfortunately he works an hour away and doesn't get off until 7 so no Happy Hour for him. Oh well, it will be nice to hang out with Brenda. We have no plans for Spring Break, I think we might take the girls to 6 Flags once or twice, depending on the weather, but that's all really. I should probably do some laundry tonight, I finished my friend's necklace last night and I started a bracelet, oh and I made 2 hair feathers as well! That was fun. :) I'd like to finish my other bracelet tonight but we will have to see. Have a good day ladies, I gotta get back to work. :)

Dear Capri! I am so sorry, I missed that you had lost your Dad. I am very sorry to hear that. It is always so hard to say good bye. Please know that I am thinking about you and your family and sending big hugs your way. Tracey
