I saw photos in Mice Chat today with it all down, and that street looks so much nicer. I also have been watching the progress in Carsland and Buena Vista street, and I can't wait to see it done. It looks awesome.

At least she got you to loosen up and have some fun. Everyone needs that once in a while. Looking forward to seeing what they do with the Mad Tea Party. I hope they keep those metal pieces away.

Yeah, everything except that stage (as of Saturday) have been taken down on Hollywood Blvd. but the rest of it is still up in the Backlot. It's nice to see that area almost "normal" again. It'll be interesting to see how they tie in the pieces for the Mad T Party. We shall have to wait and see. But it was a fun night I needed. So far all I have done is just "work" and, I dunno. I was lonely, lol.

Well at least the work as been fun work. Living in a new place is bound to get a bit lonely at times, but at least there are some people nearby that you know that you can see, and I am sure you will make fast friends at DL and Target.

20 days until we leave for Disney World!!! I am getting so excited. It will be a long day of traveling, as we've got two stops each way, but that's ok. Makes for a more interesting day. :)

I miss my cats :( I was talking with my sister and one of them is following her around and the other pretty much hasn't come out of hiding since I left. I miss having them to cuddle with. That's actually the hardest part right now.

Awww, that's gotta be tough. I would be missing them too. Maybe once you meet some people, you can get a place where you can have pets, and bring them down. Were they both yours? Probably shouldn't separate them.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next place I move to can have cats, but we'll see. They are both mine, but they aren't all that attached to one another. But one of them has only ever attached to me and nobody in the house so I feel so bad for her back at home without a lot of interaction with anybody. :guilty:

I've pulled out the suitcase (a little early, i know) and started throwing things in it. Printed out all our reservation info, and starting to get everything together. Can't wait to see the MSEP again!!

Hey, I love packing weeks, and sometimes even months in advance. I don't think that's early at all ;) It's going to be such a wonderful trip for you.

I hope that you can find a place that does too. Maybe eventually the one cat will come around to someone else, if you're not there, but it would be great if they could be with you.

The trip will be so much fun. Although I am not so patiently waiting to hear Disney's official word on the possible closing of Test Track. They announced in Jan that it would be closing in April for refurb, but they haven't said anything since. This is one of the rides we were looking forward to most, so I am hoping they postponed the refurb.

That's alright by me!! I will be at Disney California Adventure for sure. I actually had Our California Story today which I had fun with despite taking the tour after it had been raining (my shoes filled up with water). As if I wasn't already super excited about everything going on between Buena Vista Street, Carsland, etc., this just expanded on that excitement. I have a general idea on where you'll be able to find me but I think I may want to leave that a mystery for now ;) I'm getting closer to being out in costume and I can't wait.
I am pretty jealous that you were able to check out Carsland and Buena Vista Street. When we go in June it is going to be packed! Can you at least tell us if the new ride in CL will be FP?

That cornucopia was sure different than I'd imagined in my mind. I was thinking of this giant Thanksgiving thing, the kind you fill with fruit. LOL I couldn't picture how they'd climb something like that. :rotfl:

I'm sorry you've been so sick. I hope you start to feel better soon. And good luck with jury duty. I've never done that before.
Ok, I was thinking of a traditional cornucopia too! :rotfl: I am glad I was not the only one.

After taking my new prescription last night and some niquil, I slept like a rock for 12 hours. It was heaven. I am still stuffed up and lazy, but am feeling much better, thanks :)
I told Russ that if we win the lottery, the first thing I'm doing is buying a condo as close as I can get to Disneyland. You could live there. LOL

My small children in theaters gripe list includes when the kids can't/won't sit still so the parents let them RUN UP AND DOWN THE AISLES and across the front of the theater. Argh. Even better if they are laughing or squealing as they do it in quiet/serious parts of the movie. It's one of the top reasons I don't see movies in the theater anymore. I'm tired of rude people ruining it. I didn't spend $10 to sit in a room with kids running around during a movie. Then there are the cell phones, the texters, the talkers..... ugh. I can't remember the last movie I saw in a theater. It may have been POTC At Worlds End. Yeah. That long ago! I may go and see Titanic in 3D next week though. Hopefully the cost of a 3D showing and going to the 1st showing will eliminate the kid factor.
Make sure there is a room for me too! :lmao:
It's the parents that I get annoyed with too. Cause usually when their kids are talking and running around, the parents aren't doing anything about it. They just ignore it and act like it's ok. Late shows! I like the late ones, haha.
When we went to see HG on Sunday, we choose the middle of the second to last row. About 20 minutes later a group of ten 11-12 year old boys took the back row while two parents sat down the row from us. While mom checked to make sure their phones were off, she completely ignored the fact that they would not shut up during the movie. The DH and I finally had enough and had to tell the boys about 5 times to shhh or "keep it down" and finally, "stop talking!" We were one more peep away from getting an employee. It really spoiled the first half of the movie.

I don't know how you can do it...I hate being away from my cats. Hopefully, it is not too long that you are apart.

I went to the doctors last night and found out that I have a UTI, excema (a viral, blistery version) and the flu  I was put on meds and should be able to return to work tomorrow. At the end of my appointment, he offered to pray over me. I had told him where I work, I don't think he would have offered to pray otherwise. It was pretty cool. I am so glad Easter break is next week....I can't wait to have some free time.

Helloooooo!

Just looked at first page. Looks great Beth! You rock:)

Only 4 more days and I send my oldest off to Paris with his band. I am a nervous nelly! But I'm also super excited for him:)

Have a great day!
Tracey

Drive by hi from me too :).

Jen~ I hope you feel better soon.

Jessica~ Sounds like things are going great. I'm happy you're happy ;). Hope to see you working whenever I go to DL.

Beth~ That's one reason I don't go to the movies much, because there is no way I'll bring Laila to a movie that is not age appropriate for her and I don't have anyone (except my teens) to watch her so if there is a movie I really want to see, most of the time I'm just SOL and have to wait for it to come out to DVD.

Capri~ Big Hugs to you!!

We didn't actually go into either area. To the extent of my knowledge both are still hard hat areas (Buena Vista Street for sure) since construction is still going on. As the rides in Cars Land (I'm assuming you mean Radiator Springs Racers which is the big E ticket ride) the only things I have heard about having Fast Pass are as a guest so nope, can't say a thing!

I hope you feel better soon, Jen!

Are you going to give me any hints of where to look?

What is life without a little challenge? I actually don't know for sure where I will be on Saturday.

Ok, I have 10 minutes to catch up here till I have to start dinner. So...here goes...
no posts at all today? wow!

Happy Sunday, Divas! I've got a corned beef and red potatoes in the crockpot. Mmmmm.... smells SO GOOD! Watched Up and Princess and the Frog yesterday. Hadn't seen P&F before. It was cute. I think that only leaves Brother Bear and the Tinkerbelle movies that I haven't seen. Oh, and the Little Mermaid sequel, which is next up in my Netflix.

I haven't been on myself for a few days myself. Way too much to do and not enough time to do it!!! Spring Break? You are needed!!!!

I hope your corned beef and potatoes came out yummy. I love my crockpot too!!!

Princess and the Frog is one of Erin and I's favorite. "It is not slime...It's mucus!"

Hello, ladies! Wow, so quiet around here! Like a ghost town.
Oh well, makes it easier to catch up when there's not much to catch up on. ;)

Hope you are all doing well. :)

Yea, I noticed that too. Maybe lots of laundry to do or trips to plan....:confused3

I'm living about 2.5 miles away so it's really close which is a good thing. The shorter "commute" will make balancing both jobs a tiny bit easier but I still need to figure that out. I'm just renting a room from a middle aged couple for now. I'd like to keep it at no more than 3 months and move in with other people into an apartment or something as soon as possible. But at least I have a roof over my head (and my own bathroom). That's what is important.

Off to bed for me! I've got an early morning tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a great weekend :grouphug:

Your training and touring sounds real cool. I don't know if I could handle knowing the "behind the scenes" type of stuff, though. New Years Eve 2011, the crowds were soo intense that they were opening up the "backstage" area to let people by pass and get to the exit quicker. Well....I had to close my eyes and hold on to Scott to lead me out because I didn't want to know what was back there!!! I know, I know...silly me!!

Having your own bathroom is a ver nice thing.

Don't you just LOVE Bio-Freeze? I use that on my shoulder/neck when they start to hurt. I used it on my back when I was having problems with that as well, it worked so well!! Love that stuff! Where do you get yours? Our office has a stocked first aid kit that has it in there. :)

BIO-FREEZE is my friend!!! My chiropractor turned me on to it years ago. I get mine from the BX, not sure how much it was (Scott picked it up for me) though.

This is the time I start "staging" everything I'm needing to pack. Fun Fun:banana:
May be a long day but look where you're going!!!! Yahoo!!!

I miss my cats :( I was talking with my sister and one of them is following her around and the other pretty much hasn't come out of hiding since I left. I miss having them to cuddle with. That's actually the hardest part right now.

I bet they are missing you too.

Oh good gracious!!! I hope the med's help and prayer is a must when you are fighting the sickies. A nice break is going to help too. Get well soon.

Wow, what an adventure for your son!! But, I would also be a nervous nelly myself.

Well, I made it in 9 minutes 37 seconds!!!
Chili and cornbread is on the menu for the night. Good evening all!!

So, when do you guys/we get to start planning things out like themes for the M&G, etc? I am guessing that is a little while off, but just curious when that fun stuff starts. :goodvibes

Also, what holidays do you do gift exchanges. I think that would be a lot of fun too. :)

Agreed. And I don't get mad at the kids, it's the parents who need to use a little more common sense.

Oh, I agree. You can't blame kids (little kids, you can blame the 10+ year olds for bad behavior in a theater - they should understand "indoor behavior" by then). It's all on the parents who believe that seeing whatever movie they want, even if they can't find a sitter and have to bring their 2 year old, is one of their inalienable rights. Ugh.

Are you a big Titanic fan?

You could say that..... LOL

Awwwwww..... poor kitties! Hopefully your sister is giving the one that wants attention plenty of it. And hopefully #2 will either warm up to her or you will get into a pet-friendly living arrangement soon!

I'm fairly confident there is already quite a bit of planning going on..... ;)

Well, I'm getting lots done around the house since hubby has been off at work yesterday and again today. Hopefully, this trend will continue..... LOL Today is GROCERY SHOPPING. Oh, joy. LOL
