Happy almost Wednesday.. for me anyway...
We had a good visit with the in-laws.
We did go to the Mexican restaurant, all of us but my MIL liked it .. her peeve was her corn tortillas were cold. I wouldn't have been happy either (then again, she didn't ask for new tortillas either.. so..??). My dish wasn't exactly what I expected but simple and tasty -- hand made flour tortillas OMG! YUM! Hubby was "meh" because the portion sizes were smaller than our usual place (which is overwhelming, giant, too much to eat and the prices match it). For a small mom/pop place it was "just right" but not a place where we would make a special trip.
Hubby did some art pieces while they were here. Pics on my facebook page. A skeleton sitting on a chair playing a guitar, made from Sculpey, for his mom. She had always wanted the little Dia de los Muertos figures but didn't know where to buy them for a reasonable cost. Turned out awesome! And some shoes for his brother with zombies and character from Resident Evil game/movies. He finished them in under 2 hours, they looked amazing!
After posting the pictures, my son had several of his friends ask "can he do XXXXX for me???" Now he realizes that it's time to set up an Etsy, craft fair booth or something. If you sell stuff, give me some tips to set up this little business.
Capri- eeeee, allergies are such a pain! Hopefully it won't happen again.
I have a latex sensitivity that has crossed into an oral response/allergy to avocado. Sniff sniff, no more guacomole. wahhh. It's the only thing that bothered me, but I had a weird reaction that makes me wonder if there is something more I am allergic to now. The last night of the diva trip, Alison had a corn dog from the cart on Main Street. She shared her packaged apple slices with me, after a few pieces I got the itchy oral response that I get from avocados (itchy mouth, burning ears, scratchy throat). Luckily I had an anti-histamine med in my "bring it just in case" bag of assorted medications. That stopped the itchy mouth and I was fine.
I looked online trying to find an ingredient label to see if it was some weird thing like those warnings of "manufactured in some facility as nuts" blah blah blah. Couldn't find it. Doubt they use latex gloves for food handling at
Disneyland, so I am completely stumped.

Hope I'm not allergic to apples, that would suck! Doing some reading on the latex sensitivity, more exposure to the allergen can cause worse symptoms -- you know the rush to the ER, can't breath kinda symptoms.
