I'll be in the area with my family October 18, 19, 20 and 21 staying at Hojo with the ET rate.

The 18th I'm taking the kids to Knott's Scary Farm. (No Disney Halloween party for me. I wasn't impressed last year. Too crowded and too pricey just to get candy. imo)

The 19th is the day I'm ditching them and hanging out in the parks all day, so I think that was the day most of us were going to try to meet up. :)

The 20th, Capri and her family, and me and my family are going to Universal Studios if anyone wants to tag along for that. They'll have the new Transformers ride open by then. And their park prices are sooo much cheaper than Disney's.

Hope to see lots of Divas in October!! :cool1:

I'm eyeing the first flight down on the 19th and the last flight out on the 20th. I wouldn't be able to do Universal, but that's OK. By the way, the "cheap fare" from Sac to Orange on Southwest is now $100 each way (up from $69 - $89). Of course, based on the fact that it cost me $4.15 a gallon for gas yesterday when it was $3.85 last week, that doesn't surprise me too much.

Here is the egg info. I bought 2 last year and they were fantastic!

Good gracious!! Those look soo yummy and what cute packaging. It's all about the packaging, right?

Those look yummy! I wonder where they will do them with Candy Palace closed? I can't wait till this Fall when the park is back to being OPEN. LOL

Never have been to DL during Easter. I bet the decorations are adorable and the treats are scrumptious!

When in the fall is everything to be OPEN? We are planning a trip at the end of September.

He says I'm evil, but would now not blink if I told him I was going back to DL in the next couple months. :rotfl2:
:stir: :thumbsup2

My sister texted me today and asked why I was wearing a blue shirt in one of our group photos. I told her I was the rebel spy of the diva group. :teeth:

Aren't spies supposed to be sneaky?? You don't exactly blend with that bright blue on. :rotfl2:

Just found out that DJ Adam Auburn is spinning for Mad T-Party! Woohoo!! One DJ down, now to wait to see if my fav DJ spins!! *crosses fingers*
Yay!! I hope they are both there so I can still catch them one day.

:scared1: Gas prices are getting crazy again. :sad2:

Oh! Yum! So, you're going to send me the chocolate one right? :rolleyes1 ;)

True. It is. My favorite holiday is Halloween, and I am a sucker for anything in Halloween packaging. :rotfl:

Who all was planning to go to DL in October (the 18th-21st or around there)?

I know Lisa and Carol both mentioned it. I can't remember who else...

I started a group on FB for those of us going during that time. Just someplace we can post our dates and plans, etc. Let me know if you'll be there so I can add you. :thumbsup2

Good afternoon everyone!

Those eggs look delicious. Yum!

With all Laurie's photos of the snack table, and those photos of the Easter eggs, I am getting a sweet tooth. Guess I better put the Kitchenaid mixer I got today to use real quick!!

Too bad about the Villa's costing too many points that weekend. Do you need points in order to get the Villas?

I was wondering the same thing.

.
Well almost but I'm more into the taste.:rotfl:
Oh! Yum! So, you're going to send me the chocolate one right? :rolleyes1 ;)

ha ha, it would probably have a bite taken out of it. As soon as I bought them I had to try them.

Beth~ If I can find the eggs, I'll send you one. And no bite will be missing because I hate walnuts!!

Too bad about the Villa's costing too many points that weekend. Do you need points in order to get the Villas?

You can rent the Villas without points, but the cost is redonkulous!! The best value is to use points.

Ah, well that's too bad that the points are so much higher for that weekend. But I understand you not wanting to use them.

I hope you're able to make it next year, but I'll keep that in mind about Cynthia, Nicole, and Becci. We might be able to make it work.

Cynthia, Nicole and I definitely want to be in the villas again! Now we just need to find points to rent! :thumbsup2

WAIT!!! HOLD EVERYTHING!!!

I just realized I never got to try the Practically Perfect punch from the Jolly Holiday Bakery. It was on my list, and I totally forgot.

This just won't do. I think I need to go back and buy some. Soon. Anyone want to run away with me?

:p

(sigh) If only it were that simple....

Tell me about it! I realized yesterday that I never even went inside the Jolly Holiday Bakery! :scared1::confused::eek: Ugh - I don't know how I missed that. :sad2:

The DIS is so slooooow today. Hope everyone is gearing up for a great weekend. :)

Good morning, ladies!! TGIF!! :cool1:  :yay: :woohoo:
Anyone have any fun plans for the weekend?

When my husband and I were dating, back in high school, we always said we'd move to San Diego. We loved it there and would take frequent weekend trips to the area. But we never did. Now, you're the one I'm jealous of!! I love the rain! I'd move to the PNW in a heartbeat. We only stay here because I have two kids in high school, junior and sophomore, but once they graduate, we are outta here.

I cannot share a bed either. I've done it before, but now the only person I can sleep with is my husband. I have restless leg syndrome, which means I move and kick a lot. So unless someone wants to end up black and blue, they should not get into my bed.

San Diego is just a really cool place. That said, as much, as I complain about the rain here there are a lot of redeeming qualities about the PNW. Many people who live here like our weather. In the summer it is funny, when it starts climbing above 80 and especially if it is for a prolonged period of time, people get downright cranky - lol. I do have to say, it is great weather if you like to cook and bake. Not too hot and humid. You never have to worry about baking while you are baking - lol.

So that's 6 of us interested? You, Cynthia, Nicole, Andrea, myself and Jen? Am I missing anyone? How do you go around renting points? The whole thing is so foreign to me.

So, keep your fingers crossed for me everyone. I talked with another HR of a store close to Disneyland today and they are currently hiring for their super-duper-early-morning position. I wouldn't mind doing that until something closer to what I'm doing now opens up. He said to have my HR send my information and we'll see what we can make happen. Other than that I officially have my last day that I'm available for my current store figured out: March 22! That's less than 3 weeks away.

Hellooo Diva's!!!!

I ran into a few of you this year. I'm the silly one that passed out the beads I'm sorry I didn't get your names. I just was having a good time passing out beads!! hehehe I hope ya had a great time.

Howdy folks...Charlene here!!! New to the Dis Diva's but not to DISNEY!!!:cool1

DH is in the Air Force and Travis AFB is where we call home at the moment.
Thank you for the beads - I got one, and you are not too far from me - I am 45 minutes or so north of you :)
I know that Cynthia, Nicole and Becci were interested in doing the villa again next year, so Jen and Jessica you might want to see if they want to do that with you. I decided that I am not going to try to rent points again with the point increase. Plus it is likely that I will not be able to come next year with the new dates so I don't want to commit to anything.
Bummer to not have you with us next time Carol :sad2: But to my other roomies - if the price is not too crazy, let's do it.

Good luck!! I hope you get it Jessica!

Welcome Charlene! :welcome: My name is Melody. So nice to have you join us. I hope you can see by the pictures that we have a ton of fun! :dance3::grouphug:

I went the Jolly Holiday twice for lunch. The first time Bridget and I shared a tuna and caprese sandwich. They both were yummy, but the caprese won out, and I ended up going there again to get another one. Shhh....don't tell anyone, but Steph loved the caprese so much, that she had it 4 times. It is that good!

Well guess where I am going tomorrow? Yep....I'm off to the land again. LOL!! We have a funeral to go to down south on Sunday, and Dave wanted to meet up with our DS Derrick at the Pomona Swap Meet tomorrow, so I talked him into dropping me off, before he goes to the meet. I plan on checking out the crowd for ya all. Hee hee! I'm going to meet up with Katie and maybe Kerri who I have not met, but did do an exchange with one year. :goodvibes

Maybe I will have me another caprese sandwich for you all. Yum!! Oh, and I forgot to mention that they make homemade potato chips there that are super good. Double yum! :cloud9:

Carol, I sure hope you can make it!!:hug::hug: BTW- I sound like a frog now. My friend asked me if I was coming down with something. No....just a lot of screaming and talking over the noise. :upsidedow
