Believe me, if I had it handy when my mom and I got stuck by the I-5 closure over the Grapevine, mine would be gone too!!!

Ick! You actually got stuck? I sorries. I ended up driving Mel up to Kettleman on Tuesday so she wouldn't have to worry about all of that on Monday. I got stuck up there for 3 hours once because of an accident and it was miserable.

Is it horrible if I've already finished off all of my M&G treats?

No, not at all! Mine got finished up today, DDs ate all of it!!

The SoCal Select passes are blacked out every Saturday & Sunday, the SoCal passes are blacked out every Saturday, the Deluxe passes start to get blacked out on Saturdays 2-3 weeks before Easter. The only concern would be the Deluxe passes, we can't plan around the SoCal passes. I'm good with the 1st weekend in March so we can avoid the week after President's Day.

I'm going to Disneyland this weekend to see if there is a major difference in the crowd levels, because honestly, Disneyland is just getting busier and 1 week may not make a difference .

I still say we should change the dates to October but I'm afraid I'd be causing a revolt amongst the group . Halloween is the best time to go...just sayin' . But what do I care, I can go whenever I want so I always leave it up to the group, because I mostly go to hang out and the crowds don't bother me.

Please, Please NO OCTOBER... Although I would love to celebrate my birthday with my Diva's, that is smack in the middle of football season and there is no way I will be able to escape and attend the trip.

Wendy you should have come up the 14 instead. I think that the 58 was open to the 5 and you could have bypassed the closure.. OR come up the 14 and we could have met up for dinner and drinks to pass the time.. My town is pretty small, but we have a pretty good mexican restaraunt

I like the Wednesday-Sunday idea I LOVE the idea of having a Goodbye breakfast on Sunday morning... I saw a few Divas Sunday morning, but I missed the rest of you I am good with keeping it the same week or moving it back a week.. Either way I will be there

This year we (Deluxe) aren't blocked until March 17th. Then it's every Saturday until after Labor Day, plus the holidays.

I was smiling at your entire post until I got to the tie dye part. Then I got a little "ugh" feeling in my stomach.

Well, actually looking back, this is the first year we've ever gone during this Feb. time frame.
Last year in 2011, the trip was March 3-7. The two trips prior to that, in 2010 and 2009, were both in early March as well. So, March is actually when we usually go. Early March, that is. And I don't remember anywhere near the amount of crowds we had this time.

The only time we've ever had close to this amount of park goers was the first year, but that year we went in April which won't happen again. Too hot and crowded.

Would that be Don Cucos or that one back out of the way on Soledad? Can't think of the name of it but we've been there a few times and liked it.

Wow...all caught up. It's only been a couple days but I've missed so much. I've been fighting a cold since I've been back. I think by body is in shock from having to go back to reality.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone that worked so hard on making the weekend such a great time. I had a blast. It was great to see old friends and make new ones. I miss you all already.

As for the dates discussion, my work schedule always makes the time of year tough. I always have a big deadline around March 9th or 10th (whatever that Friday is). That being said, I would do everything in my power to make the trip whatever weekend its scheduled.

I think it would be great to have a going away on Sunday morning. I wish I could have said goodbye to more Divas. I also like the idea of arriving on Wednesday night. It would be fun to have all day Thursday in the park.

Jen - sorry to hear about the work issues. I can so relate. It stinks to take the blame for other people's issues.

I have to say, although the trip just ended, I am so excited for next year. It will be great.

Yep, Don Cucos has the BEST margaritas!! La Cabana is the one on Soledad. When we bought our house we thought it would be nice to live close just in case we ever had a few too many drinks we could walk home The food is okay, but since they raised their prices I would rather drive over to Don Cucos..

I wanted to thank everyone who worked so hard to make our trip so special this year too. I forgot earlier. We truly are a great group of women.

I agree that Miss Mel must come so the early March dates are sounding better and better.

Theresa, you are cracking me up. I will bring you a birthday gift but will not wear tye-dye no way, no how. Birthday girl or not, that's asking too much!

Luckily we have a whole year to plan our "big breakfast" and everything else.
