I'm another who would love to go the first weekend in March. It would def make it easier for mom and I since my girls always get that week off for President's week.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but how do they get the first weekend of March off for President's Day (which is the previous week - Feb 18)?

Just wanting to say I just checked the Touring Plans historical crowd levels and it seems like end of February/ beginning of March isn't too bad. For this year they have it as:

Just wanted to say that the committee is listening to feedback and we have already decided that the hunt next year will go back to the basics and focus on fun. So please don't start another hunt - we promise it will be fun!

I second this. I know that Mel, Bridget and the other members were very interested in the feedback and have promised us a much more laid back, fun hunt next year. Not to say this wasn't fun, but next year's will be much more easy going. Chillaxing.

Well, actually looking back, this is the first year we've ever gone during this Feb. time frame.
Last year in 2011, the trip was March 3-7. The two trips prior to that, in 2010 and 2009, were both in early March as well. So, March is actually when we usually go. Early March, that is. And I don't remember anywhere near the amount of crowds we had this time.

The only time we've ever had close to this amount of park goers was the first year, but that year we went in April which won't happen again. Too hot and crowded.

But, I do wish more would chime in. Out of a group of between 55-60 ladies, we've only heard from a handful. So, hopefully more will share their opinions. If they have one. Some may not care, which is fine, too. This far out, most dates are fairly workable. (knock on wood)

The first weekend of March sounds fine with me. As long as Easter isn't in early March, crowds should be lower than Presidents week.

What would concern me is that they start blocking APs in March. This year it's the 17th for the deluxe, but I know the So Cal passes get blocked earlier.
