One more week and as if I don't have enough to be excited about ...

Did I mention that I have officially applied to work at Disneyland? On top of that, I'm putting in a request to transfer with my current employer (Target) to a location closer to Anaheim. I spent all of my breaks and my lunch at work today searching for stores with open positions I was interested in and made my list for my HR to contact tomorrow. My team leader has been trying to get me to make this move for a long time so she's super excited and has offered to help out in any way she can (like if I need to take time off on short notice).

My Exec is bummed I'm leaving - must mean I'm a good worker ;)Ooh, got my email. Yipeee.

This is awesome news! Just keep in mind that your new place should have a guest room.

Wendy~I'm glad to hear your check came in!

Maybe someday! I'm just hoping to find a room to rent at this point. It's hard though, because I have no idea when I'll officially be moving. It depends on how quickly my transfer gets through and if/when I start with Disney. At least i can start inquiring. I've never done the whole "looking for a place to live"/house hunting thing before. I have no idea where to start.

Do you plan on working both jobs? I'm hoping the best for you on your interview! Maybe there are other Disney employees that share living quarters. Might be something to look into.

That's the plan to at least get me started. How long it continues depends on what else I can get in the area and how many hours I'm getting. I think it's my best option if I want this to work out, and I really, really want this to work out. And even if whatever I do to get a roof over my head at first is just temporary I'm sure I can find co-workers to room with from either place.

then the last piece of mail: my tax refund. :woohoo: I was so happy and relieved that I cried. :sad1: Then I did the happy dance. :dance3: Then I realized I was still late for work so I ran to my car. :drive:

Long story short, I will see you all in one week!

woohooo! Perfect timing, so happy that it worked out.

But all they had left were the absolute largest size the store sells, a 30/32. I thought, how big can they really be. I'm big, and they are elastic waist, so I bought them.
Well, they are huge. Falling down huge. I plan to get a big safety pin and pin those suckers up! :rotfl: So that's my pathetic pajama story. lol
:lmao: You crack me up!

Get even more value for your money, they can double as clown pants next Halloween. :p

:woohoo: I have an interview scheduled. I hope you all can spare me for a couple of hours next Friday morning ;)

Awesome! Good luck and I hope you have a wonderful time pursuing your dream :goodvibes It will be an incredible adventure!

Beth, I have the same thing going on with my elbow, so weird! And a cyst that I may have aspirated next Tuesday, have to see what the doctor says!
Good grief, we are all falling apart!!

Oh, wow, good luck, Jessica!! :cool1: :wizard:

Tomorrow night I am hoping to hit the club with my friends. My fav DJ is spinning and he told me to come say hi to him and he will tell the security/bouncers to let me come around the DJ booth! :yay: So stoked!! Hope you guys are having a good day! :)
Have fun!

I like the way you think! :thumbsup2

If that's not perfect timing I don't know what is. So glad I could squeeze it in while I'm already there. But at least my boss would have supported me if I needed to take unexpected time off short notice, but now I don't have to worry about it.

:grouphug: Thanks everyone! And you'll all be the first to know how it goes, lol.

Wendell, that is awesome news about your refund :yay:

 TMI, Theresa, TMI. :rolleyes1

You call it TMI, I call it a semi public service announcement. Seriously, you can all thank me later :littleangel:

I hope everything is okay and no need for any dern aspiration.

Good luck with the interview and the transfer :thumbsup2

You all need to listen to the Disneyland podcast 1st anniversary show, they asked for DL tips and read mine and Tina's. There's still 20 minutes left, but I need to go to bed!!

I saw that on FB, awesome Stacie and Tina ;)

I did not sleep well last night at all. Too much excitement and nerves bundled up right now. Hopefully this isn't a patter for every night until next week - or worse, every night until I finally move my tushy to SoCal!

Good morning, ladies!! "It’s Friday, Friday, Gotta get down on Friday" :cool1:

I'm so excited for you guys!! :woohoo:
Thanks. :) I see you have a Disney cruise coming up in a few months. How exciting for you!! :goodvibes

:grouphug: Thanks everyone! And you'll all be the first to know how it goes, lol.
Well, you'll have a group of over 40 ladies sending you well wishes and keeping our fingers crossed for you. :grouphug:

What would we do without you? ;)

I went to bed early last night, and missed it. Darn. That's cool they picked Tina's and your tips!

Aw, try to take a nap today. I couldn't sleep either. I went to bed early, then was wide awake at 1:20 a.m. :sad2:

When I finally fell back asleep I dreamed a bunch of us were hanging out at Cheryl's house except she lived here, in Las Vegas. We were all getting ready to go out on the Strip so we were all dressed up, with high heels and fancy make-up. We were getting hungry, but the only thing she had in her fridge were bottles of wine. Literally the entire thing was filled with nothing but wine. So we all started drinking and never even made it out the door. We got too drunk. :confused3 So weird! :rotfl:

The latest weather forecast:

Thurs @ 72
Fri @ 72
Sat @ 69
Sun @ 69

I guess this isn't horrible. Wish it was going to be a bit cooler though, with a higher chance of drizzle. :rolleyes1

Boo! Anything below 75 is freezing for me. 75 to 85 is cool and 85 and higher is perfect. :rotfl: But I'll take anything so long as there is no rain. But then again, I love wearing my rainboots and splashing around in puddles at Disneyland like I'm 5 again. Who am I kidding, I'm still 5 most days.

Boo! Anything below 75 is freezing for me.
And anything above 70 is too hot for me. Yet, you live in the Bay Area where it's typically on the chilly side, and I live in Las Vegas where it's hotter than hell. :lmao:

I actually love DL in the rain. When we lived in Burbank, and the kids were little, we had APs so we'd purposely plan to go on rainy days. It was so awesome to feel like you practically had the park to yourself. :)

I live more inland up in the bay so thankfully we aren't as chilly as places like SF. I tolerate it, but the warmer weather is definitely a plus for me was far as moving to SoCal. Still not perfect weather for me, but it's as close as I'm willing to get!

I got to experience DL in the rain for the first time last year and it was awesome. It would be a bummer if it rained for an entire trip but a day or two of rain can be fun.

OK, I've got to get my booty off to work. My HR is making the calls to the other stores today and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we find out news sooner rather than later (well, mostly that my #1 choice comes through). I don't want to be at a Target sore that's too far away from Anaheim.

That sounds pretty realistic to me.

Wow Beth, you really need to get moved up here. We have temps in the 40s and 50s with rain about 300 days a year. ;)

Well, all caught up. Don't have time to respond.:guilty:

Our sandwich fundraiser made almost $195,000.00 in 3 days!! I am exhausted, but life goes on. :faint:

But now I can concentrate on our trip. :woohoo:

Oh and Beth, Kaitlyn served and had her picture taken with one of the Bachelor contestants from last year. His name is Ryan Park. She said he was super nice. :cloud9: She is also going to be in Vegas this weekend. One of her friends is playing in a big volleyball tournament, and she is riding along to watch her play. :goodvibes
