Congratulations Wendy (tax refund - woo hoo!), Jessica (yay for new job prospects - I'll be cheering for you!), StacieLee and Tina, (our podcast stars), Mel, or SuperWoman (for a super successful fund raiser), and Cheryl (for having a fridge full of wine) oh wait, that was a dream! ;) But a believable one, I think.

Welcome to another Mel! Looking forward to meeting you.

I couldn't sleep last night either, and on a fluke checked airline prices for Orlando for my March trip. I bought a one way ticket there - and I'm hoping the prices for a return will come down enough so I can get a one way ticket home. Holy Moly, air fare sure has risen in the last year! I think the lower fares were only posted for an hour. I checked back after I bought my ticket and the price had more than doubled. Yikes. If you're looking for air fare, I suggest stalking the airline sites between midnight and 1 am.

Can't wait to see everyone in a WEEK! woo hoo!

I got to experience DL in the rain for the first time last year and it was awesome. It would be a bummer if it rained for an entire trip but a day or two of rain can be fun.
Exactly, just one day. :thumbsup2 But doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Wow Beth, you really need to get moved up here. We have temps in the 40s and 50s with rain about 300 days a year. ;)
I know, I know! Stop teasing me! lol ;)

Oh and Beth, Kaitlyn served and had her picture taken with one of the Bachelor contestants from last year. His name is Ryan Park. She said he was super nice. :cloud9: She is also going to be in Vegas this weekend. One of her friends is playing in a big volleyball tournament, and she is riding along to watch her play. :goodvibes
I remember him! From Ashley's season. Good luck to her in the volleyball tournament. :cheer2: And way to go on the fundraiser!! :worship:

Holy Moly, air fare sure has risen in the last year!
Prices are out of control. :sad2: Flying is so expensive, and such a displeasure and hassle. A far cry from how it used to be.

Now I have that song stuck in my head...:sad2: :rotfl:
You're welcome. :rolleyes1 :p

Jessica - I'm so excited for you! Can't wait to hear how the interview went when we're down there!

Wendy - Yay on getting your tax refund!!! :woohoo:

Stacie - Whooo hoooo, thank you for booking our Disneyland Express! :yay:

Stacie and Tina - Our Podcast stars! :cool1: :cool1:

Melody - What a successful fundraiser! YOU ROCK! :cheer2:

Theresa - I dig a good PSA. No new undies....check! :thumbsup2

Beth - Get your dang bus ticket girl!

Cheryl - Party at your place! ;)

The latest weather forecast:

Thurs @ 72
Fri @ 72
Sat @ 69
Sun @ 69

I guess this isn't horrible. Wish it was going to be a bit cooler though, with a higher chance of drizzle. :rolleyes1
Not too bad but a bit warmer would suit me much better.
Boo! Anything below 75 is freezing for me. 75 to 85 is cool and 85 and higher is perfect. :rotfl: But I'll take anything so long as there is no rain. But then again, I love wearing my rainboots and splashing around in puddles at Disneyland like I'm 5 again. Who am I kidding, I'm still 5 most days.

Mid 80's is perfect for me, even into the 90's is good.

I went to bed early last night, and missed it. Darn. That's cool they picked Tina's and your tips!

Aw, try to take a nap today. I couldn't sleep either. I went to bed early, then was wide awake at 1:20 a.m. :sad2:

When I finally fell back asleep I dreamed a bunch of us were hanging out at Cheryl's house except she lived here, in Las Vegas. We were all getting ready to go out on the Strip so we were all dressed up, with high heels and fancy make-up. We were getting hungry, but the only thing she had in her fridge were bottles of wine. Literally the entire thing was filled with nothing but wine. So we all started drinking and never even made it out the door. We got too drunk. :confused3 So weird! :rotfl:

That sounds pretty realistic to me.

That's what I was thinking... :rolleyes1

Justin said he would love to be a retail manager at Disneyland. Hmmmm, YES teacher and retail manager? The wheels are turning. :rolleyes1 ;) :goodvibes
There ya go! :thumbsup2

That's like my sister in law. She's happy if it's in the 90's. Other than that, she's freezing.

C'mon weather, we can do better than that! Bring it! I need a tan. :beach:
Noooooooooo!! :)

I see no problem with this ;)

Well, all caught up. Don't have time to respond.:guilty:

Our sandwich fundraiser made almost $195,000.00 in 3 days!! I am exhausted, but life goes on. :faint:

Holy smokes, woman! I hope you got some rest today!

Sounds like an awesome plan!

You and me both!

Noooooooooo!! :)

I'm with Beth on the weather.... LOL! 72 would be PERFECT! Remember it's always warmer in the park because of all the pavement! I'm happiest from 68 to 78 degrees. So, like Beth, I live where the summers are like sitting in an oven. Go figure.

Those can be bought in can :rotfl:

With two free checked pieces of luggage with Southwest - should I pack decorations in one suitcase or ship it?

And Monica (or someone else?), maybe after CoD or another time - would someone be willing to take me to the store to buy Disneyland tickets for my students?

Mel, you really are SuperMel ;)

I've got to try and fit in another little field trip next weekend. We sent my transfer requests today and now it's a waiting game on how long it takes for them to respond. I was talking with my HR and she said some respond in days, others not so much. We have someone who's been waiting to get her transfer approved for well over a month now and I don't want that to happen to me (knock-on-wood). I'm going to give my HR a call on Monday morning to status with her and see if she's heard anything. I'm really hoping we hear something back from my #1 choice. Either way I'm planning to stop by their store and introduce myself next weekend. If I'm going to be nearby I might as well!

Now, on to make dinner (my comfort food - a golden mushroom chicken that my grandmother made for me all the time when I was a kid) and hopefully get the packing process started.

I still need to find something for my interview!

Wow, I had 10 pages to catch up on since Monday. But boy was it entertaining...a lot of good eye-candy to look at. :cool1: I loved everyone's pictures of their secret crushes.

I feel so out of it this week. Works been so busy and the sickness has made its way through the house. Hope that means I'm good to go next week. I'm going to take Jill's advice and do double dose on the Vitamin C this next week.

The trip is so close and I have oh so much to do. I'm just about to get off the internet and make my final list.

Wendy - so glad for you that the tax check arrived! Can't wait to see you next week.

Mel - you amaze me. I wish I had half your energy.

Beth - I'm with you on the weather. The cooler the better, means I can hide my bright white skin. High 60's, low 70's sounds great.

Lisa - Great news about your husband and the job prospects. I hope it works out for him.

Deb - Since we're sharing a taxi to Disneyland on Thursday, what airline are you flying in on? We're on Southwest.

Jessica - How exciting for you to have an interview next week! I can't wait to hear how it goes. I'm sure you'll do great.

Question for all - my daughter and I are going to Disneyland the first week of June and I'm trying to decide where to stay. I would love to splurge and stay at the Disneyland Hotel but I just don't know. How about the Fairfield Inn across the street...has anyone stayed there? What are your favorite hotels?

Well, everyone have a great weekend. It's a three day for me but somehow my daughter convinced me to let 3 of her friends spend the night Sunday night. :scared1: I think she got me in a weak moment...maybe when I was drugged with Nyquil.

See you all soon :thumbsup2

Thanks Jodi!

Other than on-site the only other locations I have stayed at are the Carousel and the HOJO which is where I tend to gravitate towards automatically. I've yet to have a bad experience there and every stay I've managed to snag at least half of my stay with the Retro Rate.

DH and I always stay at the Park Vue Inn, right across the street. We like the freebies, hot breakfast, fresh baked cookies in the evening, water bottles, evening 'happy hour' with free chix patty sandwiches, salads, chips and soft drinks. When I went with my sister for her birthday they gave her a gift basket with fresh fruit, cookies and a bottle of wine. When you book and tell them that you are celebrating something you'll get the basket.

I don't know how I forgot this, but my kids have a four day weekend! Monday is, of course, President's Day, and Tuesday it's a staff development day. I'm glad I get to spend extra time with them, since I'll be leaving on Wednesday.

I hope I am well by the time Wednesday rolls around. I've been feeling run down and Ruben said he feels like he's getting sick. :sad2: I've been taking Airborne and Zinc. That's about all I can do!

I did bring my suitcase out today, and it's mostly packed! Didn't take long at all. ;)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Disneystore.com is having a 25% off everything sale with code HAPPY25. :upsidedow
They even have a printable coupon good at the actual stores. :)

We need to move. :thumbsup2

I am Casper the ghost pale. Anything from a can or spray would look orange on me. :scared1: :rotfl2:

Stay well!! :wizard:

5 DAYS DIVAS!!!!

I tell you, I really am looking forward to this trip.....Its been a rough couple months with the loss of my stepmom & my dad....but news yesterday about getting Michayla in....like NOW.....to have her open heart surgery has me a bit rattled. I'll go on the trip & a week later, we'll be going to Portland for the surgery. It just seems so unfair to put a 4 yr old thru something like that.....heavy sigh. Anyways, I went last night for therapy.....I mean Karaoke!! :rotfl: The guy that runs it took a couple videos of me singing (for any of you interested).....I've shared one of the videos on my Facebook page....he hasn't uploaded the 2nd one yet. The video is a song from the movie~~Chicago. Queen Latifah sang it in the movie "When You're Good to Mama".....I love doing this song & getting the men all embarrassed......lol

Now on to packing!! Have a great weekend ladies!!!
