Good morning ladies! I slept late this morning, not a good thing. But when I got up I got dressed and went for a run! My first training run for the Tinkerbell 1/2 (if I get to run it, it looks like it's filling up fast and I can't afford to register until next month) went well, 2 miles in 30 minutes. I'll run for 30 minutes Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until the end of next week, then I'll add 15 minutes each week until I'm up to 2.5 hours. Monday Wednesday and Friday are strength training days at the gym and Sunday is for ice cream.
I love how you have a day for ice cream. :thumbsup2 Good luck on the training! Sounds like you've got a great plan. :cheer2:

So within the next month or so, we possibly could be coming parents (again) to our 8th child!! Mia is 4 (turned so in January) and she looks like Addy. I know Addy will be thrilled to have her sister with her. She asks about her all the time.

Oh wow. I'm sorry to hear the mother is struggling again, but that's great Addy and Mia will be together. Loved their pics! You are amazing and I really applaud all you do.

:smokin: (not sure about being young though)
Well, your younger than me, so that's something. LOL

What are you trying to say, Missy :confused3
Oh, you know. You know. :cool2:

My sister signed up to run with me. :thumbsup2 It will be her first Half Marathon. And we are going to enter Violet in the diaper dash! She'll even get a shirt and medal. :)
Aww, how cute! I love that. And good luck to your sis!

So I am booked for the first flight down on the 19th and the last flight out on the 20th (but it's a pretty early flight out on Saturday, but better than not going at all, right?). Then I'm in Vegas the 27th - 30th. Russ flies home from Vegas at 3PM on the 29th - I'm staying an extra night since we have the timeshare.
:cool1: Yay!

When I arrived home, I told the DH who got so jealous! :rotfl: He said he needs to get hotter so I will not be tempted :lmao: A little motivation never hurts, right?
:rotfl: Go, Jen!

Aaaaaaaak! I've somehow found myself in the middle of two dimensions!

The Mayans were right. The end of the world is near. :scared: ;)

The tribes won't allow a child to be adopted. After a million questions about guardianship......the real only differences would be a different last name from ours and we'd have to submit a letter to the courts once a year to give an update on her life.

WOW......a 4yr old, twin 5 yr olds, 6yr old & 11 yr old......running loose in WDW this December.....that should be interesting!!

What an amazing thing. It's too bad about the Bio-Mom, but it's wonderful Mia has someone who loves her to take care of her. May God Bless You for loving one of these dear children.

Weighing in on the T-shirt thing, I don't know how much to say as a Newbie maybe I don't really have any say  but as a Newbie I REALLY like the idea of wearing a previous year shirt on Thursday. I was worried about how to meet up with people I don't really know and having the Divas in T-shirts I can recognize from the previous year would really help. I can't be there Sunday, and I'm blocked out on Saturday, so I could care less about the colors those days, and I'm fine with the other colors too.

I might be there October 19th. It depends on whether there's our high school's football game that night or not. In the fall I go to DLR almost every Friday night that there's not a football game.

Beth, as a Newbie you've made me feel very welcome. thanks for that :dance3:

I think our t-shirt schedule Beth posted for us looks great!

Other than voting/polling for a color for the last day, I think we're just about done.

To keep it simple, we should probably vote from a list of basic rainbow colors - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple.

Any of those colors would be bright, happy, we'll be able to spot one another easily, and we'll stand out as a group.

Of course this is just a suggestion so we can put this to bed. It won't hurt my feelings if everyone hates it. :goodvibes

Laurie, I am truly in awe of you and Mike. How wonderful that you are making it possible for the sisters to be together again. I hope that all of the paper work and transition for Mia goes smoothly. She is extremely blessed to have your family in her life, and to love on her. You are one special lady!

Just an FYI: The Tinker Bell Half Marathon is already 51% full!

My sister signed up to run with me. :thumbsup2 It will be her first Half Marathon. And we are going to enter Violet in the diaper dash! She'll even get a shirt and medal. :)

2 daughters and a grand daughter running (crawling) marathons!!!!:dance3:

If you are there in October, you'll have to hang out with us. Unless you have other plans. LOL But, you are welcome to, if you don't.
You said you go to DL often in the Fall. Are you a fan of Halloweentime?
That's my personal favorite time in the parks, maybe because it's my favorite holiday. ;)

I'm glad you've felt welcome! It's a great group and I've made friends for life that I am so grateful for. :)

It's up to y'all how you want to handle it. I am totally going with the flow baby.... (I feel like I need a "yeah, groovy man", kind of smiley to go with that) :teeth:

Just cruisin down route 66 .....

I can't remember, but were any Divas going to brave the crowds and be at DCA for the grand re-opening tomorrow?

I have to just say how much I admire you and your family, Laurie!! It takes a very special person to not only foster but adopt the kids knowing what their special needs are. I truly believe there is a special place in heaven for people like you who are so selfless and giving!! Mia will be extremely lucky to be joining your family.

Thank you for all you do for the kids who really need you!:littleangel:

I think Mary Jo, and Rochelle will be there. Vicki mentioned on FB she might not be able to stay away. I think Bridget will be there. I can't remember who else. Some others are going, but later this month.

What are your hours? Will you be right in the thick of the madness? LOL

Cool beans. I knew Rochelle and some other friends I met through her will be there (I've been reminding them to come find me and snap a photo with me in costume :goodvibes). I'm getting super excited! I'll be somewhere on Buena Vista Street (if anyone wants to know exactly where PM me or ask on Facebook) from 2:30 to 8 something and hoping I can get out on time and back into the Park after changing to catch the end of Mad T Party!!

Oh yes, they must take a photo. I can't wait to see you in costume! :yay:

I will definitely be stalking the DIS and Facebook tomorrow for all sort of updates. I'm most curious to hear about the attraction wait times. popcorn::

Hope you make it to the Mad T Party! :ccat:

Thank you Melody & Bridget for your kind words. I just couldn't let her go somewhere else. There really isn't any other family members that are a good placement & they and especially us~~would prefer she get put with her sister. They haven't talked on the phone for about 10 mths.....but I know Addy thinks & talks about her a lot and hopefully Mia will remember her as well.

:rolleyes1 Mike comes home from work today & says "You realize we're gonna be in our mid to late 50's when all 4 girls hit puberty"?? :scared1: :rotfl2: He tells me it will be my job to deal with that!!! :lmao:

:rotfl: I bet it will be crazy, wild, pull your hair out and deliriously happy times :goodvibes

All caught up and I approve all decisions made (or not made). :thumbsup2
Because you know... you can't make a decision without MY approval. :snooty:
