I finally talked to someone at the IRS today. They assured me that my refund did not go to someone else, thank goodness, and that they are in the process of sending a check. He said best case scenario, I'll get it in two weeks. Which is cutting it VERY close. So I'm just going to sit on this for awhile and stalk my mailman daily.

You will make it on this trip if it's the last thing you do We guarantee it.

Ugh, I have so much to get done before I leave. No use stressing myself out though. I've got a drink and I'm watching hockey so life is good.

Happy Hump Day!! Boy, it's getting hard to keep up. Been AWOL lately due to work. I'm so ready for a break right now that in 2 weeks I will be more than ready for DIVAS and DISNEYLAND.


So, yes JEN, count me in for a pre-flight drink. I think we should do one pre-flight and one at the Grand before lunch .


Speaking of flights, Deb, it looks like you come into SNA 20 minutes before Jen, Holly, Lisa, Patrice and me. Lisa and Patrice are taking super shuttle but if you want to hang around for us would you like to share a taxi with us if you don't have other plans? We are all going to the Grand.


Capri, looks like we leave on Sunday 15 minutes apart. Would you be interested in sharing a taxi back to SNA? This year I'm going to make sure an check flight status before I leave because last year my flight was delayed about 1.5 hours.

Jen, so sorry your DS (and you) are having to deal with the issues of your ex. Drugs are nasty! It's just to bad that those that are using/drinking just can't see what they are doing to themselves and others. This just hits really close to home for me and it just makes me so angry.

Mel, as full as I am right now from dinner, your talk of steak sandwiches made my mouth water. One of these years, I'm going to start heading down 99 South to get one.


So I bought what is sort-of a lime green shirt. It's from Kohls and is called "Nile Heather". In the store is looked pretty lime green but out in the light it looks more yellow. Trying to decide if I should keep it. Whether is is green-yellow or yellow-green there is one thing I know for sure - with my pale winter skin it is not going to look pretty.


I can't believe we are down to 2 weeks tomorrow. It is coming up so quickly. I'm looking forward to see you all soon. Have a great night

Everytime I go I get one and always wish it were half as big. It is too big for how sweet it is. Everytime half of it goes in a garbage. This past weekend the son asked for one, took two bites and didn't like it. What a waste of $10 since combined we ate 3/4 of one.

$10 for one pineapple slice??? Or was that for two? Either way, I forget how expensive Disney food can be.

Plus the fact that Mervyns, Penney and Kohl's have conditioned me not to buy anything that isn't on sale for at LEAST 40% off.

I am so used to shopping at Kohls. I wait for a sale and then combine it with my extra percent off coupons.

Man, we've had swimsuits at work since Deember or earlier. The second I saw the racks out I wanted to go run and hide. There's nothing worse than doing markdowns in retail and having to scan through each and every bathing suit. I dread it, lol.

Jodi, you are right, there is a list for that one because I am on it! There are only 5 of us, well now 6 I think we are all at the Grand, so we can walk over together. Let's plan a meeting time in the lobby. Anyone else joining us?

Shopping is hard for me. I usually go when I need something and hope that it is on sale. I have been known to pay full price because I have no patience to wait for a sale. The exception was when I bought my Keurig and new luggage. I did shop around for those items.

And no more fat bum talk! We are all beautiful women

And I love Dole Whips, but only on a warm day.

I know. I saw them at Target the other day and almost screamed. I was on the phone with DH when I walked in and saw them and I scared the crap outta him. Bathing suits <shudder> . I have one that I like that fits me. It's a tankini top and a black swim skirt. It's the only one I will wear in public. I have a one piece that I used to wear when we belonged to a gym with a pool. I'm sure I don't have a snowball's chance in Hades of getting my butt into that ever again.

Two weeks from right now I'll be doing my last minute packing since I'll be TOO EXCITED TO SLEEP! SQUEEEEEEEEAL!!!!!!

I am still recovery from a crazy weekend. We had a huge fundraiser for our school district Saturday and it raised twice as much as we were hoping - over $23,000!! This was our first time trying something on this scale and it was a sell out! Unfortunately, working so hard brought back my chest cold - ugh!! It better be gone by the trip!

What kind of fundraiser did you guys do? Way to go on raising twice as much

sorry I've been AWOL lately, have been dealing with my Mom's health issues. I am looking forward to the trip just to be away from it for a while!

Well, this upcoming week is going to be crazy busy! It is Farm Show steak sandwich week. Oh why does it have to happen now? About a week of my life will be dedicated to it. It starts on Saturday getting the booth ready. Sunday and Monday we cut up over 10,000 pounds of ribeye meat and season it. Monday we also sell a few sandwiches to the some of the vendors to get our feet wet. Then Tuesday to Thursday all heck breaks out!!! This is the fundraiser that we bring in over $150,000.00 in 3 days. It makes me tired just telling you about it. Needless to say, this Friday is my goal to have all the tees done.

I have another monkey wrench just added to this week. It is actually a good thing, it just adds to the craziness. My niece just opened up a consignment store in Folsom, and her Grand Opening is this Friday. Dave and I think it is important to go and support her as this is my sister Renee's DD. She was the sister who died last year around this time. So we are taking off on Friday morning to surprise her, and coming back home early Saturday morning so we can work on the Farm Show stuff. Youza!!
Is it February 23rd yet???

Oh and if any of you Sacramento gals want to come to the event, it is from 6:00- 8:00pm and the name of the store is called "ReLoveIt Consignments" on E. Bidwell Street.

My dad's service is this Saturday.....I want to either sing or say something, but I haven't come up with anything yet. It's like my brain has shut down & coming up with memories to share or maybe a favorite song my dad & I liked is proving to be quite hard.

I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone & let the last minute planning continue!!

Laurie, I missed this about your Dad. I am so sorry to hear this news. It is really hard to lose a parent. I'm sure whatever song you pick out will be perfect. The hardest part will being able to sing and not get too choked up.

Ummmm-probably not! She is probably going to have foot surgery soon. She's had a recurrence of the foot ulceration (from the bone pressing on the bottom) that she had a couple of years ago. We are seeing a couple of more specialists and then they will likely schedule a surgery to "shave" the bone--then she will be in a nursing home for 6 weeks or so since she won't be able to walk.

Mel: I trust your ideas girl! Tell me what I can do to help!

We are, but we are pre-paid on Super Shuttle already. Used the travelocity code and got it for something outrageous like $7 each way per person.

Jill, thanks for mentioning bottled water..... Ladies at the Carousel.... is anyone driving that could bring a "case" of bottled water we could share? I'm thinking Patrice and I would probably want 8 bottles. Maybe 12. Let me know.
