Ya, sorry, it was totally my fault. LOL
Sushi was good, I didn't eat anything raw today. I had crab and tempura shrimp. :) Sometimes I eat tuna, but that's about the only raw fish I'll eat.

Getting some stuff caught up and then leaving again in about half an hour, taking Cassidy to the DMV. Hopefully I have everything I need for her to get her permit.....I honestly don't know and can't figure the DMV site out enough to figure out exactly what she needs.

You are brave. I cannot eat seafood. I've tried it, even sushi, but just can't stomach it. I try hard to not be picky, but it just doesn't work!

Good luck at the DMV. :)

Oh gosh.. Its a freaking miracle... the twins are napping. SHHHHHH. But only for about 15 more minutes til the biggers get home. They never nap. EVER. You know.. Because they are 3. and there is two of them.. and they know that I need a break. :lmao:

Nothing new happening here.. Just getting ready for an influx of Germans. :rotfl2: Julie graduates on the 18th.. So her dad and her brother are coming in on the 11th, and her mom gets in on the 14th. Did I mention that the brother wont speak to the mom, and her dad constantly fights with her mom. Its going to be a NIGHTMARE!! Seriously, we are not looking forward to any of it.

BUT.. we leave for Disneyland on the 19th. YAY! Just me and the hubby... Its going to be amazing. Amazingly crowded.. amazingly hot.. for FIVE WHOLE DAYS! No kids. *sigh* Im excited, even though its going to be super hot and crowded.

I feel for you. Sounds like you have a busy household without the Germans, let alone with. And I know all about drama! It is all for a good cause though. A graduation is a big deal. :)

YAY for no kids at Disney!!! :cool1: Oh, sorry.... I'll whisper so I don't wake the twins.
Hope the crowds aren't too bad....ok, so that's not realistic, but we'll pretend for a bit. :rotfl:
Are you going to Universal while in SoCal for the new Transformers ride?

Oh, and good luck with the German invasion!! Sounds like you'll need it.

We got samples yesterday but they were the plain milk chocolate squares.

DBF had the Salted Carmel hot chocolate and I had a scoop of cookie dough in a waffle cone. Both were really good.
Mmmmmmmm. :thumbsup2

Hi Andrea! I don't like seafood at all either. Of course, in my case, I won't even try it. It just looks too gross. :crazy2:

Well really I've only tried smoked salmon, one piece of shrimp, fish sticks (which I am told don't count) and sushi once. I won't go any further!

I didn't used to eat any kind of fish. Then I tried shrimp scampi and loved it, then I tried crab, lobster, oysters.....loved them. LOL It took me a while to eat sushi, Micah always tells me I tried sushi for the first time with my friends, but my friends didn't eat sushi so he's wrong. LOL I tried it with him and 2 of his friends, and the first thing I tried was tempura shrimp and crab, it's still my favorite.

Cassidy didn't pass :( She was bummed big time, but we made her another appt for next Wednesday after her summer school session is over, I know she will pass it next time, she'll be better prepared. I honestly didn't give her much time to prepare for today, I made the appt yesterday.....haha :)

Now I'm home, I need to figure out dinner......hmmm I have leftover tri-tip, maybe a salad, I also have some frozen shrimp, maybe some sauteed shrimp and the tri-tip with salad. That sounds good.

Oh my, so many posts while I've been gone! It sounds like most everyone had a lovely weekend. I'm way jealous of everyone who got to go to Disneyland without me. Oh, and am all over that salted caramel hot chocolate. Sounds amazing.

I spent the weekend at Guard drill at Camp Parks in Dublin, CA. It was a whirlwind trip, really. I drove to Chico Friday evening and stayed at the Oxford. Saturday morning I arrived at the armory at 7:30 and we left in buses at 8:30. We got done training at around 4pm Sunday, hopping back on the buses at 4:30. We got back to Chico at 8:30 and I got home to Anderson at nearly 10pm. Then kid #2 and I hopped in the car at 7 Monday morning and drove to Modesto. She and I spent an hour at the hospital chatting with her grandmother about their memories with her "Uncle Ronnie", then I took her back to MILs house and they removed life support. It only took about a half hour, which was a relief for my MIL, we were worried that it could drag on, but he left quickly and quietly. Last night my MIL's nephew came over with his partner, and the grownups had margaritas and a few laughs about Ron and life in general. I found out that the boys had been at Disneyland on the same days I was there! I hadn't seen the nephew since he was 14, so we decided that we need to keep in touch and we'll all plan a trip together soon. It was nice. I drove back home this afternoon and now I am wiped out and have so much homework to get done before 9pm. Yikes!

Aw, bummer. Poor Cass. But hey, she'll get it next time. No worries!

Wow, sounds like you had a few days full of ups and downs, both physically and emotionally.

Good luck on the homework!

ah hum..................... How quickly you forgot that I was there too.:sad1:
:)

.
Aw...I'm so sorry! :headache::guilty: Count it as extreme exhaustion :faint: and old age! :scared: (Seriously, when I got my my hotel that night I looked at myself in the mirror and scared myself. Mary Jo, if you read this, you were far too kind in your comment to me about my age. I looked like heck. But I digress....)

Trudi, IT WAS REALLY NICE TO SEE YOU TOO! It was so sweet of you to take the time to come and see us for a few minutes. LOL...also to check out the Mad Hatter and his "belt." :3dglasses

I just have to say that it is so nice to have so many new ladies joining up and chatting along. I have read everything and wish I had the energy and time to respond to each and every one of you. Newbies and veterans alike. :goodvibes

Sarah, we had caramel filled chocolate samples. :cloud9: Did you notice the cool displays on the wall behind the counter at Ghiardellis? (spelling?)

Megan, hope your week goes as smooth as possible. I sincerely commend you for welcoming Julie into your household, while you were so busy raising your own, with little twins to boot! I also am impressed with Julie's prom dress and purse. They were both adorable! Weren't you just learning how to sew when I first met you?

Hey Beth, and anyone else. Are you watching the Bachelorette? I like the Dutch dude. Ha ha, that is because my life is surrounded by Dutch people. LOL... I married one!

Lisa, and anyone else... Are you watching the Next Food Network Star? Do you have any favorites? Also, do you like the format this year? With having teams? I don't. Last night I thought that the guy who should have been the one to be sent home, got saved because if his team. Not fair.

We didn't know but you have to get a menu before you go inside. I didn't see one inside. I guess it's so you can decide while you wait in line and maybe they think it will speed up ordering. (It wasn't crowded at all yesterday)

We had to go back outside and grab a menu and get back in line to order.

Oh, and the AP discount works there. I wonder if it will at Starbucks.
They were passing out menus outside when I went. It makes it so hard to decide since there is a picture of the different sundaes. I kept the menu, it is paper so I figured we were able to.

All is forgiven.:rotfl: You didn't look like heck to me! For the record I was not checking out his belt. I was looking below the belt.:rotfl:

Yes! I am hooked on that show. I haven't missed an episode. But for some reason, I cannot think which one is the "Dutch dude". :rotfl:

Arie is his name. he is the tall dark haired race car driver who went to Dollywood with her.

HI MEL!!!:wave2: Sorry I missed you last weekend. I really hope to see you next month.

I have been watching the Bachelorette too and don't know who the Dutch dude is. But I like Sean and a few others. Definitely do not like Ryan or Arie. I really like Emily and DH was a big Nascar fan so I feel kinda of connected to her roots if you know what I mean. I hope she finds true love.

Megan, your family life is always so "happening". I hope there is not too much drama with the German relatives. I am sure you will miss Julie when she is gone. How exciting that your DL trip is right around the corner. Any chance you would want to meet with some of us locals for lunch to say hi?;)

Kerri - both DD and I failed our drivers test the first time. Cass will pass with flying colors next time. :thumbsup2

I had sushi for dinner tonight. And it included mostly raw fish. My kinda meal. :)
I wish they had some sushi in DLR. We used to enjoy the place at Paradise Pier before it closed. And they never reopened it as anything else. Hummmph.

Thanks Melody! Yeah, I havent been sewing that long.. Just a couple years. Really since right after the twins were born. But I have some exciting news! I put an add up on craigslist for seamstress.. and I got a bite the second day!! WOOHOOO!!! A woman wants me to make her a bridesmaid dress!! YAY! Im excited!

We are gonna open up a store on Etsy.. Im going to do Steampunk dresses and suits for plus size folks.. and the hubby is going to paint nerf guns to look all steampunky. We are kind of excited about it.

Anyways.... Im regretting naptime now... 10pm.. and they are still up. :sad2:

:lmao: its only because we have SOOOO many kids! I will miss Julie. She has been with us for two years. I get teary whenever I think about it. But at the same time Im kinda looking forward to having some peace and quiet again..

My kids LOVE sushi. We do sushi night here every once in a while and the kids make their own. Even the babies grub. *I* am not a huge fan though.

Meeting with some Divas would be awesome! We are going to be there from the 19th-23rd!!

I love sushi too. It's one of my very favorites--especially spicy tuna--yum!!!

Went to DLR today. It was a lot more crowded than I anticipated. Then I was reminded that today was the last day for the S. CA Select AP's before being blocked out for the summer. A lot of people, who have this pass, were there to get in their Disney day before the block out. I plan on being there each Tuesday of this month to try to get as much Disney in before my pass gets blocked out.

Went to Ghiradeli. Very cool. Got the caramel square at entrance--would have preferred the dark chocolate (my favorite). Took a picture of Carthay. Anyone interested in me posting it? I also took a picture of the menu but it didn't turn out very good (it was bright out, so it was hard to see the screen on my phone).
