I'm glad to hear you liked the French Market. I was thinking of trying it on our next trip. Oh, and this is so embarrassing to admit but I was excited to hear about the cupcakes! Those are one of my favorite desserts.

Me too!! As soon as I read that, I yelled out the news to my DH!! Just one more thing to look forward to in October, with pumpkin fudge being my #1!!! I was so dissapointed when they stopped selling the Nemo cupcakes, they were yummy AND adorable!!!

Oh, got the entertainment rate for Aug 28th at the HOJO for my DD and I to end the summer. I work Saturdays, so it is to be a Thursday and Friday!!!

Hi all,

Just popped in to catch up. Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Oh my the YMCA story scares me. I am soooooo not ready for that. My oldest is 11 and (thank God) not interested in girls AT ALL yet, but I know it will come. We just moved to get out of a neighborhood where I would not let the kids play outside because of the ill-mannered kids all around us! Climbing on walls of other peoples yards, tearing out sprinkler heads, pulling tree limbs off, and cursing like sailors even in the presence of adults (no respect at all!).
It is just so hard to raise kids anymore.

Which reminds me...what was I thinking to move in 110 degree weather. Boy is it hot loading and unloading in this heat.

Anyways, I better get back to the move, but we just got the computer back on line so I had to check in.

Wow, I had no idea it was so bad where you were at before. I'm glad you were able to find a nicer place to be. And I agree, it is so hard to raise kids these days. I worry all the time.

I couldn't help but chuckle when you mentioned the moving in this heat! We did the same thing. We moved in here in August! Very hot and miserable.

Hey girls, just poppin' in to say Hi!
I just took my Chapter 9 math test and I think I did all right. Now I have to finish 8 sections of homework by tomorrow night so I can take my Final Exam on Tuesday afternoon. Normally I take my tests on Sundays but we're leaving Thursday to visit my family in Lathrop. I'M BEYOND EXCITED! I always love visiting them and we don't get to see each other that often since we are 300 miles apart.

Well, you definitely haven't missed anything with the weather here! I think today was the hottest, and for the next week, it's all pretty much the same, around 105 and "Times of clouds and sun with a thunderstorm in the afternoon." I would be enjoying the cooler weather, like it was in Michigan! So much nicer! Is it humid there?

Hi Stacie! No, it's not humid here at all. It's much drier in SW Colorado than it even is in Phx. And it has cooled down. We're in the 80's now. LOVELY! Yesterday we tubed down the Animas River. It was fun, but the kids were a little tough to handle on the rapids, but we all made it safe and sound.

Dan says the weather there is super yucky, so I'm happy I made the drive.

Just got back from our camping trip to the beach. Now back to reality and HOT weather!

Beth, we stopped in Pismo today on the way home, and I thought of you. It was super busy!! But it was a gorgeous day, so everyone was out to play. DD bought her self a sweat shirt for school, and we hit the cinnamon shop. Now I have to unload the trailer, and do a ton of laundry.

I bought my Mickey Halloween Treat tickets while we were gone, and they were already waiting for me, when we got home. So I guess you could say, that we are coming on October 17th for the party. Still don't know if I can make the meet that day. I sure hope so. Actually we will be driving from your town of Vegas on that day. We are meeting friends there on Wed. and Thurs for fun and business, and then we take off for DL on Friday. Busy, busy!

Well gotta go, and get my shower.
