Morning ladies!! I woke up this morning at 5 a.m. and said no freakin way! I went back to bed and didn't wake up again until 11:30!! Can't remember the last time I did that!

Good for you, Beth! Moms deserve that once in awhile.:thumbsup2

I wish I could do that, but I have sleeping problems. Heck, I wish I could just get 5 hours of solid sleep. Once my mind is awake, no matter how early it is, I'm awake. I can't get back to sleep. The other morning I woke up at 4:30am and by 5:30am, I just gave up trying to go back to sleep and got up. Luckily it wasn't 3:30am or earlier when I woke up. I hate it when that happens! Plus, I wake up about every 30-60 minutes all night long. It's usually a groggy awake, so I can fall back to sleep, but if something enters my thoughts in my grogginess that my mind starts to mull over, then I'm AWAKE. UGH!:headache:

My hubby is completely perplexed about why I wake up so much during the night. He's watched me and says I'm breathing fine, so he just thinks I have a restless mind/body all night.:confused3

I do know I have an active mind, because I dream every night. Oh well, at least they're usually good dreams.:goodvibes

Good afternoon Ladies!

I just arrived home a little while ago from taking my 3rd math test, probably another A:goodvibes but I'm a bit P'Od with myself because I could have organized it so that I could have taken it yesterday. Today Anais (8yo DSis) and Tyrae (Diana's DBF) were baptized and that's a major thing and I'm so sad I missed it:sad1: but Diana (my 21yo DSis) said she would take pictures for me. I remember when I got baptized ('04 at summer camp) by my youth leader.

Now I'm home with my doggie and she's so happy about it because that means she can be inside with me:dogdance:

RLS? Restless leg syndrome?

Huh, that's odd that you can't sleep. A good nights rest is so important although I know most people don't get one for one reason or another.
Have you asked your doc about it? Maybe he/she can refer you to a sleep diagnostic center. I hope you can figure it out. I'd hate to be waking up every so often all night long. :sad2:

Hi Cristabel. Sorry you missed the baptism. :guilty: I hope the pics come out nice so you can at least see some of it.
Congrats on the A though!

RLS? Restless leg syndrome?
I have that and it doesn't usually wake me up once I'm sleeping. It does make it almost impossible to fall asleep some nights. Sometimes I'm so tired and cant' sleep until 1 or 2 in the morning because of it.

Hi all.

Beth I love the pics of that car. :goodvibes

Just thought I'd share my weird weather here at lovely Edwards AFB. Yesterday afternoon and right now we've had rain with thunder and lightening. Dh and I are loving it. We hardly ever get rain here. We've missed it so much. The kids weren't sure what to make of the thunder and lightening yesterday but seem to be okay today.

Sorry so short, time to get back to dinner. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Steph

DH and I have mentioned it to my doctor a few times, and he just thinks it's my personality, which I think is his nice way to tell me I'm a worrywart.

It started when I was in college......couldn't sleep because I was stressed before a big exam. When I was working, I would get stressed about work. Then it mushroomed into an even worse problem when I became a new mom with an infant and all the worries that goes with that, and then I had another baby, and now I'm just stuck with it.

I do take a half a dose of Simply Sleep, and although it helps me fall asleep, I still can't stay asleep for longer than about 2 hours before I wake up for the first time. It's a pain. I hope none of you ever have to deal with it.

Should be great fun when my boys are teens with drivers licenses......I probably won't get any sleep by then.

On a positive note, my DH got our rock waterfall and pond all cleaned out and working again. I'm listening to it outside my office window as I'm typing this. I love the sound of a bubbling brook. I'm such a cornball!:goodvibes

Oooooh, I love a good thunder and lightning storm! :yay:
I miss those too. We used to get some really spectacular ones in MI. It would light up the whole sky!

Well, that sucks. Seems like they should be able to do something for you.

That's cool about the waterfall and pond. I love the sound of water like that. It's so soothing. That, and also the ocean. :goodvibes

Ooooh, yeah, the ocean is wonderful. I love to listen to the sound of rain too. Now that I think about it, I usually sleep better when it's raining. Must be something relaxing about the sound, maybe.

Yep, the rain is great too. ::yes::

Maybe you need one of those sound machines that make background noise. Something with an ocean, waterfall or rain sound. Either that or a new house right on the beach......:rolleyes1 ;)

Cristabel, good for you on good grades! Sorry you missed the baptism!

Capri, hope you get some good rest tonight! I'm a big fan of Tylenol PM.

Beth, I don't think I have ever in my life slept in till 11:30! Wow!

G'night ladies! I'm off to bed early tonight. My kids have Arts Camp at church all week, and I've got to do my school planning b/c I have the homeschool convention on Fri and Sat and need to be prepared to purchase all my curriculum. Plus, my mom is coming into town on Thurs.

We got LOTS of rain here tonight. It was wonderul -- but man is it sticky outside now!

TTFN!

What?? You guys actually get rain?? That's not fair. LOL But then again, you can keep the stickiness. ;)

I couldn't believe I slept that long either! :rotfl2: Oh well, it was nice of Ruben to let me sleep in. Probably won't happen again for awhile.

I hope the kids enjoy art camp. And good luck with your school planning.

Good Monday Morning ladies.:cool1:

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Well, we don't go to WDW until December, and United has already changed one of our flights. It's a minimal change.....we now fly out of Orlando at 5:05pm instead of 5:57pm, and our connection in now through Chicago instead of Denver. I hope that's it for itinerary changes. (Keeping fingers crossed.)

Beth - I told DH about your suggestions last night, and we both vote for the house on the beach.:thumbsup2

Callie - I think that's great that you homeschool your kids! I've thought about it A LOT the last couple of years because I'm afraid for my oldest DS (Ryan), who has a speech and language/communication disability, and everything the school does in both teaching and assessments is language based. It kills his self esteem, to say the least. Doesn't seem fair or right to me. To me, it's the same as if the school/state assessed the physical fitness of kids with physical disabilities by giving them the exact same fitness test as their non-disabled peers. Sure, they might give the kids with the physical disabilities more time to complete the fitness test, but c'mon......if your body doesn't work right, it won't matter how much time they give you. You're going to fail the test. I find the whole thing so frustrating at times!

Well, I've got to go wake up Ryan now and get him going. He's in a morning summer school program, and it'll take him a little while to get moving and ready to go. The summer program is Mon-Thurs, from 8:30am-10:30am, but he actually seems to like it.:yay:

Hey everyone!!! I'm back, did you miss me??? It was so nice in Michigan the last 2 weeks, I think it only rained 2 times over the entire 14 days. But it was HUMID!!! And we flew back into Phoenix last night and it was HUMID here! Apparently there was lots of rain while we were gone, which my 2 DDs love, and are mad it rained while we were gone. But so nice to just relax for awhile, but it was definitely hard to sleep, my dad's house has no air conditioner so we slept with the windows open which let in the humidity and all the outside noises! It was so nice to sleep in my own bed last night!!!

Hey Callie, sounds like you're pretty busy this week, let me know if you talk to Ellen and we could get together. Or if you and your kids want to play Mario Kart, I'm all for that too!! As far as I know, I'm home for the summer... but I really want to go to DL!!! As does my DD Allyson... Hmmm, no ent. rate at Hojo's after this week, maybe Priceline!!!

Cheryl, can you please send me the dark chocolate recipe? That's probably the last time I was on the boards, since everyone close to my dad's house had their wifi security-enabled... can you imagine!?! So I'm just getting all caught up... now on to finish the laundry! YUCK!!

Hi Stacie! Welcome back to Hotter than Hell! ;)

This week is packed for me, and I know Ellen and her kids are flying out next week to go to Washington to visit her mother. I think she gets back at the end of the month, and then I'm planning on going to CO. So, dang, a get together is going to be tough.

Good luck getting back to DLR this summer. As long as it's hot and humid there, I don't want to be anywhere near the place!

That's nice Ryan is in a summer program that he enjoys. And I feel for him with the schools. And it seems to be tougher then ever for all the kids. I think they ask too much too early.

I hope no more changes are made to your flight. I hate it when the airlines do that. They take away every little luxury and amenity, then they charge you an arm and a leg for every little thing they do offer, and then they mess with your schedule. Ugh!! I detest air travel.

We did miss you!!! I was just wondering last night if you'd made it home or decided to spend the whole summer in MI. ;) Glad you had a nice time over there despite the humidity.

I agree. I was really missing it there, but hot and humid take all the fun out of it for me.

I saw Phoenix on the news with all the rain and flooding going on. I hope things were ok with you guys over there.

I remember living in north Glendale Arizona, and I feel for you Callie and Stacie.....I don't miss monsoon season AT ALL!.....Hot, humid and miserable outside.

I hope the weather gets better soon for you two.:wizard:

Ok, let me know if you get any free time. As for the humidity, for what I was just in for 2 weeks, I think I can take it anywhere! But, my hair definitely was different while we were there... much more curly, and it just seemed damp all the time!!!

Christine's AP expires in 10 days, and we're trying to decide if we should renew it. She applied and was accepted for a study-abroad program through college and in January she is going to ... UGANDA!!! For 4 months!!!! She's already figured out that T-mobile has international service there, and I'm sure it's not so she can talk to us, I think her BF has T-M as well!!!

At least you understand it. So many people don't get it! It DOES get humid here, especially when we're used to less than 10%!!! Think I'm going to the water park tomorrow!!!:scared:

I just stumbled upon this thread and while I have never taken a non-family trip, it sounds like so much fun!! I am much more of a Disney addict than anyone in my family and they pretty much tolerate my habits, so the chance to get away with a group that "gets it" would be wonderful!

I'm hoping there's still room to join in?? I need to go back to the first page and read the details but time off is not an issue. I'd just need to line up arrangements for the munchkins.

Can I join the group? I read all darn 91 pages of posts, so I feel like I know some of you already. Although, I did notice there is another Amy. Maybe I will have to be "Amy2"?
