Capri--how old were the tires on the car? Did you keep them? If they weren't too old I would definitely see about getting a refund or credit from where you originally bought them. Of course, thank God your husband didn't get hurt and the car wasn't damaged any more than it was.
As for me, I spent the day at
Disneyland yesterday with my friends who are visiting from the United Arab Emirates and the 11-year old daughter of my other friends. We had a GREAT time--although it looked crowded, the lines were short--the longest was mid-afternoon at Roger Rabbit--about 30 minutes. (I didn't want to go on so I sat in the shade and waited for them--it was heavenly--Goofy and Minnie were running all over Toontown and it was fun to watch!) We met lots of characters and the girls got their autographs--Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Goofy, Cruella, Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts . . . we saw Chip and Dale but didn't get in their line. Most rides (HM, Pirates, Snow White, Pinocchio, Toad, Jungle Cruise) were walk-ons. We waited 20 minutes for Peter Pan--and this was at 8:15 am. of a Magic Morning (so DL opened at 7 a.m.). It was amazing! We had no trouble getting a lunch seating at Cafe Orleans at 12:00 or finding seating at Pizza Port at 6:00.
Never saw the Dream Team "dreaming"--saw a few walking around in non-dream mode. Only saw a few Dream Fastpasses. We were afraid it was going to be very hot, but ended up not so bad. Food was yummy--our only non-meal splurges were Dole Whips and one box of popcorn between us. Oh, and the girls got some candy at the end on Main Street. (Of course, Omar and I were always in search of the nearest coffee cart!)
We are going to the Orange County Fair tomorrow, and then Sunday, as a surprise for my friends' daughter we are doing the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at Paradise Pier. It's a game with us--last year I took them to see Wicked and gave her clues so she could guess (she did finally guess, as we were driving to the theater, that it had something to do with the Wizard of Oz). So, of course, this year she wants clues about her surprise too. So, I need help--so far my clues to her are "eggs" and "Hawaii". For those of you who have gone to the breakfast (and even if you haven't) can you think of other things for the next three days? I don't want to give too much away. I thought of "blue" (for Stitch). And drums? Don't they have drums there they use for th kids? Anyway, suggestions would be appreciated! She will be so excited--Stitch is her favorite character! They are probably leaving Sunday afternoon and I'm sure I'll be pooped!
Ok--so I guess I better get back to work. My house guests are at the beach today while I work . . .
