Well, I guess we will see what works best for the group. I am just glad I can go.:) And I just wanted to say that I LOVE your food pix on the porn thread (I didn't post there because I feel like the posts should be pix and not too many comments, but for some it is ok). I agree with the Bengal BBQ comment too, I often get a meat skewer and a veggie one and with a drink it is almost $10 and I feel like I had more of a snack rather than a "meal" - kwim? But it is really tasty!::yes:: DD & I ate at Taste Pilot's yesterday for dinner and I had the Bleu Cheese burger and she had ribs. I must say although it took F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get our food, it was very tasty. The new slaw they serve is fabulous. It had red & green cabbage along with small green apple chunks with a semi-sweet italian dressing. If you are a cole slaw junkie like me, you will indeed enjoy it.;)

Oh, and Beth, never say "last trip".:worried:
Of course you will renew those AP's for you and your terrific family;) , it just might not be right away, you might have a small rest period in between...

:) OKay, I like that better! We're just taking a little break. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the comments on the food pics. I'm guilty of chatting too much on that food thread.
And I posted some pics today from a bakery in Glendale that I just love. It's not Disney though, so I hesitated to post it, but their items are so darn good, I just thought if anyone was going to DL and for some reason was making a trip anywhere near Glendale or Burbank, they should know about it.

I have more food pics too, but they are really not having anything at all to do with Disney or anywhere near it (Solvang, Pismo, etc) so I will be keeping those solely on my TR I'm working on.

BTW, I'll have to try that blue cheese burger sometime. I've eaten there before but never had that one. Thanks for that info. :thumbsup2

Where in Solvang did you guys eat? We love it there. But our last trip was almost a year ago. There are so many yummy places to eat.

Hi everyone. Just checking in to say hi. I've reallt beening living up to my little tag haven't I? :). Hopefully things slow down at work. I'm pretty much settled into my new position.

Hello all!!! Great news, I got a job. It will work out great because all 3 kiddos will be in school starting sept. Former employer settled on one claim and.... we are going to DL in October:cool1:

Oh food porn from Solvang. I have so many favorite places:stir:

Ummm, well, ahem, see we didn't really eat "food". LOL We went right for the good stuff like danishes, eclairs, croissants, etc. :rolleyes1

We had stopped at a Farmer's Market that morning, so we had fresh fruit, and I had packed some drinks, sandwiches, etc. so we had sort of a picnic lunch and then we bought different desserts to try. They were so good too. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! :rotfl:

I'm glad to hear your settled now. Maybe we'll see you more often. :thumbsup2

That's wonderful!! Congratulations!! I'm glad things are turning around for you. When in Ocotber are you going?? Can you make it to a mini ladies only meet on Friday the 17th? We are talking about meeting up for dinner at Cafe Orleans and maybe hanging out after that. :)

You know, I've never really eaten a meal in Solvang come to think of it. Once I get there I don't want to fill up on anything but yummy danishes. Maybe next time I'll have to actually try some real food...... LOL

Beth, in my little world, danishes are "real food." Ice cream and raw cookie dough are too for that matter.

Wanna know what kind of "real food" we are having for dinner tonight?? popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

On Leap Year Day we had ice cream on brownies for dinner. I figure it only happens once every 4 years so why not do something fun for the kids. They loved it.

I hope you all had a great weekend. I think I might be able to get away for the minimeet in October.

Every once in a while I let DD have something like that for dinner.

Hi everyone! I'm back from the beach and it was great. We went to Dog Beach in Huntington it's "One mile of doggy heaven". Osita had such a great time and all the dogs were really friendly (sometimes a bit too much;) Sad thing is that I lost my glasses when I got taken down by some waves. Now I'm blind and hoping to get my prescription from my car (at the mechanic) to order some contacts from 1800contacts. Ugh its horrible being blind. But on the upside, today I bought 3 new outfits at Lane Bryant:rotfl:

How's everyone doing?
It's so hot and we don't have central AC:furious: I do have a window a/c in my room so I'm being hermity and staying in here.

I need some magic cause my eyes are giving me a headache.:worried:

I like your little world! ::yes:: Raw cookie dough is the best. :thumbsup2

Heck, last night DD and I split a cantaloupe for dinner.
We do cereal for dinner a lot around here. My kids are so picky and they like it, it's easy on me, and with fruit it isn't half bad so why not. ;)

Hi Steph! What a cool mom you are. :thumbsup2 And I really hope you can meet up with us in October! That would be great.

I'm going to get a list started on the front page to keep track of who all can go. Michelle and Stacie, did the 17th work just as well for you? I hope so. (fingers crossed)

It's just easier that way! Cereal for dinner!! Yummy!!!

Mini-meet in October ... keep it in mind ;)

:offtopic: Check you PM, I sent you one.

Hi Cristabel! I'm so glad you got to go to the beach with Osita. That sounds fun.
I'm so sorry about your glasses though. I know that feeling. I am blind without them. I really cannot see at all. My eyes are so bad. I hope you can get some contacts fast. Put a cool cloth over your eyes and give 'em a rest.
That will help you cool down too.

Yay for the new clothes! That sounds like a nice pick me up. :)

Steph: fantastic. SO glad to hear all is well.

Junk Food eaters for dinner: Is that a no-no? When my DH is out of town, my duaghter and I often eat cereal for dinner. As for goodies, not all that uncommon for me to allow cheesecake/pie/cupcake for breakfast on the rare times we have it in the house. What's not to like about that!!!

Mini meet: Okay, so I went from not thinking I would ever want to do another one, to trying to figure out next years. However, I could make the Friday in October. I am expired at the moment, but will be re-upping before then. I do get the S. CA cheap one, so Saturdays are out!! Unfortunately the entertainment rate is not available for that night!!!

Hmm, surely there is something else I wanted to comment on. Guess not!!

I would love to join you for the mini meet in October but it's a week before I'm heading to Disneyland and DCA for Mickey's trick or treat party so I can't spare the gas :( Oh well I'l see you in March! :thumbsup2

I forgot to sympathize with your lost glasses. I, too, am blind. I have contacts I wear most of the time, but back up glasses. I managed to lose a pair of glasses somewhere in my house and spent 4 months kind of looking for them, and finally had to admit defeat and get new ones. That was like 3 years ago and the missing glasses are still lost!! Mystery.

But, when I lost my glasses, I decided to get the CHEAPEST replacement pair I could. I got them with transition lenses for $139 through costco. The have been fine. No designer name, but I get compliments!!

Too bad I won't see you in March. AMY
