I like Golden Dreams, too. I can see they could make better use of the space, but I would love it if they could find a smaller venue to put it. I'll be sad that it will be gone forever. But, then, I'll also miss the Golden Gate and the beautiful tile murals at the front.

Good Morning ladies! I'm enjoying reading all mini-reports from the weekend :thumbsup2 .

I know it's been awhile but I finally scanned the Goofy's Kitchen photo for all of those waiting. It's also in the Shutterfly account.

Have a nice day!

Are we hot or what?;)

We are SMOKIN' hot!!!
Callie, finish your story, we are waiting with baited breath! Did you get your phone back? BTW, I loved TSM, too but only scored 68,000 points. I guess I am a slacker. :rolleyes1 Or just need more practice sessions, yes, that's it.:)

I bet it was just that you were super accurate! :thumbsup2 That happened to me my first time around on TSMM. My score was in the 60,000's but I had 42% accuracy. I learned quickly to just shoot as often as you can and just point in the general direction. If you throw enough things at the targets you're bound to hit something. Also after a time or two through, you realize there are some higher targets, and you learn where they are and how to trigger them.

Besides, that's the fun of it, right? To keep riding and improving your score! By the time I was done my high score was 148,900. Not great compared to some of my friends, but better than when I started!

Hi ladies! I just went through a marathon cleaning of my house b/c we had some realtors come over at 2. I had 4 hours to get my house "show-ready" inside and out (which included edging/mowing lawns in 100 degree heat). I'm completely exhausted. Well, hopefully the house made a good impression on them and we'll be able to get the house on MLS.

I'm going to continue with the trip report, but probably not till later . . .

BTW, Stacie, where are you? You could do part 2, ya know. ;)

Hey... house on the market? Where are you moving to?:confused3 I am lost!

Hey... house on the market? Where are you moving to?:confused3 I am lost!

We're planning on moving to the Pacific Northwest. Howdy new neighbor! :wave2:

Specifically renting on Whidbey Island initially, and then buying or building a house on the peninsula when we figure out exactly where we want to be.

I've been busy with realtor/house selling talk with dh all night, and am exhausted. I gotta hit the hay for now. I'll be sure to post the remainder of my TR tomorrow morning. OK?

After our brief conversation at DL I was hoping that is what you were going to say!!! Hooray... Another Seattlebusymom!!! Maybe we can fly to the girls trip together.:yay:

Can't wait to hear more!

HEY LADIES!!! How's it going??

I'm checking in from our hotel in Pismo Beach. It's great!! I'm loving it.

I have lots to post on my trip report including lots of pics!! :3dglasses (Pre-trip report link in my sig)

And guess what??????????????????? We got to ride the new Toy Story ride!!!!!!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: And we didn't even win passes. :rolleyes1 (I'll tell you all about it in my TR when I get back in a few days.)

I rode it once, Ruben rode it twice and the kids rode three times!! OMG, it was so awesome!! I really wasn't expecting much but that was so cool. :thumbsup2

Well, I haven't really had time to read back. I hope everyone is doing well. Talk to you soon. :)

Hey Dangermouse! Welcome to the Northwest. I live in Mukilteo, just a short ferry ride from Whidbey. Matter of fact everytime I do my dishes(too often!), I look out the window and watch the ferry go back and forth.

Maybe all of ous Pacific Northwest Gals can be on the same flight. Would that be a ride to remember!

So where did I leave off?

Oh yes, I was leaving EnginEars without my cell phone. :worried:

Well, Christine and Stacie had time for one more ride before they had to leave for the airport. We decided to try Monsters, Inc. It was about a 15 minute que, so we went for it. While we were in line, Stacie's cell rang. She said, "Callie, your cell phone is calling me!" Turns out it was a CM at EnginEars and they found my phone there. :cool1: So after the ride, I was able to go pick it up and then as we exited the park, we said goodbye and a big :thanks: to Christine since she was the one who actually won the TSMM preview for us! Stacie said she'd be back after she dropped Christine off at the airport and meet up with us in DL.

So Alison, Kendall and I headed into DL. Immedaitely we could tell the crowds had thinned a bit. We went straight to the Tiki Room for a Dole Whip and watched the show while we ate. Then we grabbed a FP for BTMRR, and then we rode Pirates. While we were on the ride, I decided it would be a good time to pull out my expired Dream FP's that I had brought from previous trips to see if they would work. I had ones from November, '07 that still had plenty of tabs left on them. The CMs took them with no problem! Didn't even look twice at them. We were able to ride Splash and the stand-by que was still over 60 minutes long! :dance3: Stacie called me as we were going down Slippin' Falls on the ride to say she was parking in the Timon Lot.

We had to run to meet Stacie b/c the parade was about to start and she was in Tomorrowland. We barely made it across Main Street before they blocked it off, and ended up meeting her over by Buzz and then rode with FPs we grabbed earlier, then Star Tours and after that we got on Space with my expired DFP's. It was about this time we all realized we were starving! None of us had really eaten (except for Dole Whips) since that early lunch at WWS. We decided to have ice cream for dinner, so we headed to Gibson Girl.

It was about 25 minutes before fireworks were going to start and I decided to tell Stacie that my dream for the trip was to solve the long-time Disboards debate of whether Storybook Canal Boats are closed during the Fireworks or not. I have read conflicting reports for a long time about this. Some posters have reported being able to watch the fireworks while actually sitting on a boat, in the canal. Others have reported back that it is impossible to do that because they close the ride during fireworks.

So we headed around the Matterhorn (they had already closed off the castle and Alice side of Matterhorn) to get to Storybook. The line actually looked decent. I told Stacie the girls to go ahead and get in line while I talked to the CM at the exit. She confirmed that the ride does stay open during fireworks and that if you are on the ride at the time they start, the skipper will stop the boat in the canal for the entire show. I then asked her about how long she thought the que was. She said she thought it looked like about 10 minutes. Perfect! :hyper: I qued up with the girls and waited (not very patiently) to see if we would be lucky enough to get on for the show. As we were in line we overheard the most hilarious conversation between three older lades (probably in their late 60's). One of them was asking if they still had that show with Mickey as the Sorcerer and the other two were saying no, they don't have it anymore. Then they were trying to figure out the name. What was it? Fasmics? Fantoms? Oh what was it called? Fantasmo! Yeah, that's it, Fantasmo! I can't believe they got rid of that show. It was so good. :sad2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Kendall was begging me to let her fill them in. Stacie and I were seriously cracking up. We decided to leave them with their fond memories of Fantasmo! May it rest in peace. :lmao:

The line seemed to be moving a lot slower than the CM expected, and it wasn't looking good for us to get on the ride before they started RDCT. Would we be left standing in the que watching while the canal boats sailed away?

(ok, so it's not really the finale . . . I have to do some real work and I'll let you know how it all turned out later). :duck:

I am liking your TR! I wish I could have met you all!:worried: I was there from Friday until Monday.

Interesting info about using your expired Dream FP tabs. I may have to bring the FP's I never used on this trip on the ladies trip to see if I can use them.:hyper:

I see that you are all on the edge of your seats waiting for more . . .:rolleyes1 so I won't delay and give you the first installment of Day 2:

Monday: We slept in, which goes against every fiber of my being when I am at DLR. But we had tweens and teens with us, and they needed sleep or else you know what they turn into. . . :furious: :crazy2:

I think I would have turned into that as well!!! Or I would have had the super puffy eyes like I had at the end of the April trip!

But, you know what we forgot to do? The Visa picture!!! I completely forgot until I was reading this again. Oh well, maybe next time! There will DEFINITELY be a next time!! ::yes:: (just nod in agreement)

...

As we approached the ride, I could see that there really was no line. We walked up to the first CM with our vouchers. He said "Ok, we have four vouchers and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 guests. Happy Birthday, Kendall!" We didn't even get a chance to plead our case. He just waved us through. :hyper: :cool1: Then we stopped and watched Mr. Potato Head perform. He was telling jokes and interacting with the people watching. He told a joke about exchanging one of his ears for a pair of Mickey ears, and as he tried to put his ear back in his head, it fell on the ground. So he kind of looked like this: :listen: (sorry, I've just never had a chance to use that smiley before). Mr. Potato Head just kind of went dead and finally a CM came over and picked up the ear and stashed it in a drawer. I guess MPH was down and covered for the next day and a half.

So, as we continued through the que, we ran into another CM. He asked us for our AP's. Oh no! :headache: We all pulled ours out and then I said, Kendall, the birthday girl, doesn't have one. He said "Happy Birthday Kendall!" and let us continue. :dance3: Now we're really happy! We get on the ride and I swear, this is the point where the whole mood of the day just completely turned around. This ride is the most awesome new ride DLR has put out in a long, LONG time. I was screaming, hooting & hollering through the whole thing. It was so much fun and best of all, I got the top score of our group! 139,000!

Once we got off the ride, we went into the little store and I bought my ds a LGM stuffed toy and a TSMM pin ...

Here are the pictures that came out:

Or "Yes ma'am" ...

Phew, that was a lot to catch up on!
How's everyone today?
Sorry I've been MIA these past few days. I have had Camp counselor training all week which was 8a-5p most of time.

I've read Callie's mini-TR and I'm sad to say that I did not go ride TSMM on Tuesday, even though I had won. It just wasn't worth waiting 2..5 hours in traffic. I'm also severely in debt so the gas thing is really an issue for me. I'll be there in October so I don't really mind.

Also, I haven't been on because my dad had major surgery yesterday. They were going to take out his parathyroid but when they opened him up they discovered that the problem was in the actual thyroid gland. It had nodules on it that were calcified and had cancer. So they took that out and thank God:worship: there is no cancer anywhere else. I was seriously worried on Wednesday night because it could have been the last night with my dad. I visited him in the hospital yesterday and he was doing pretty well for having surgery that day. He can talk, which is amazing.
So I smelled lawsuit and I was really pissed off.:headache: You see they stuck a tube in part of the incision (on the base of his throat/neck) and put the sutures to hold it in place (as well as sew him up) well the surgeon let his assistant put the sutures in and he put them in too lose. So the blood that was draining from his incision into this little pouch, was now on his dressing and gown.:mad:WTH?! You are a SURGEON, you can't make mistakes like that!!!!

So the operating surgeon was called and he fixed it. I haven't seen him today but I'll be going to see him later after picking up my little sister from school and cleaning the house (he might be back home tomorrow).

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks. Sorry for being :offtopic:

Oh my goodness, you broke Mr. Potato head! He must have gotten nervous with all the pretty girls staring at him! (Don't let Mrs. Potato Head find out!). ;)

That is the funniest thing I've heard in a LONG time.

Thanks for the TR and the laughs! :goodvibes

Oh my goodness, Cristabel! I will be praying for your dad. That is so scary!

Cristabel: so glad that your Dad is doing ok and thinking good thoughts for you and your family. My neighbor had thyroid cancer and had her thyroid removed probably 30 years ago and has done just great. She does have to take thyroid medication but other than that does wonderfully.

Here's some pixie dust for you and your family: :wizard:
