Hi Ladies! Well, after a whirlwind trip, we're home and getting unpacked and settled in. My dh made me dinner, is currently doing my laundry, and just brought me a big glass of ice water (yeah, I know what he's expecting later:hyper: ), so I'm ready to post some highlights:

Saturday night: Got into Anaheim about 6:30 pm and went directly to Character Warehouse where we bought a few things. We went to the hotel that Stacie had reserved through Expedia. It was the Ramada Limited on Harbor and was pretty much a dive motel with really thin walls. But hey, it was SUPER cheap, so we didn't complain (much). ;) We all agreed, not a place we will stay at again. Then we went to Red Robin to eat dinner and had really bad service. It was late, we were tired and hungry and they ignored us. Won't be going back there again either.

Sunday morning: Too early! 5 am wake up to meet Cheryl at the DL gates at 6:30 am for MM. I can't thank Cheryl enough for sharing her MM with us. We had a great time with an empty park that first hour. We hit, Peter Pan, Toad, Alice, Teacups, Buzz and Kendall and I rode Space twice and then grabbed FPs for later. Stacie and her dd's did Nemo during MM, and then went on Matterhorn. Then Kendall and I went on Matterhorn while Stacie and girls and Cheryl went on Buzz. We planned to meet at King Triton's statue after. Kendall and I finished first and I had Kendall wait by King Triton while I scoped out the Castle for White Vests. Sure enough, I spotted them on the left side near the Carnation Plaza stage area. I sprinted fast as I could back to Kendall yelling her name the whole way. Then I saw Stacie and yelled "Hurry! Hurry!" They knew exactly why I was yelling so they sprinted after me. We all got Dream FPs. I had to take several minutes to recover after running and all that excitement.

Then we got coffee from the cart in the hub. I got an almond latte, which was decent for Nestca-crap. While the ladies were drinking their coffee and eating some pastries, Kendall and I ran to City Hall to get her birthday button. As we were in line, I heard someone in front of us asking about the Lilly Belle, so I thought "what the heck?" and decided to ask for Kendall's birthday if we could ride. The CM said absolutely and gave us a ticket and scheduled us to ride at 1 pm. PERFECT!

We then went to wait in line to see my boyfriend at the Golden Horseshoe. I was first in line for the 11:15 show so we got front row/center. Linda met us there and it was great to see her again. My beloved Kirk sang directly at me & gave me those gorgeous flashy pros-teeth-sis smiles. :lovestruc :cloud9: I was in hillbilly heaven!

Linda left us at that point to meet up with her dd before she had to start work. I honestly forget what we did after that -- probably used some of the FPs from our passes. . .oh yeah! We met up with Maynard at the Opera House! He was awesome as usual, but Kendall still thinks he's a little scary. I think Cheryl used the word "certifiable". Then we eventually met up with Linda again at the Train Station for our ride on the Lilly Belle. I really enjoyed our CM guide for the trip. His name was D.J. and was an excellent source of Walt trivia and gave us a few insights into current rumors. I told him he should be a VIP tour guide as he was much better than the one we had in April. ;) . . . . to be continued
Sounds like you had a action packed weekend!! :faint: And you got dreamed again??? :thumbsup2

I've never met Maynard. Who is he?:confused3

Sounds like a fun whirl-wind trip so far. I've stayed at the Ramada I think you're talking about, and I'd have to agree, it was a bit creepy, but did the job for a quicky trip.

And thanks for keeping my boyfriend company until I get to see him next month. I'm sure he's been lonely!:rotfl2:

Callie,

People are saying there are no FPs for Midway. But I'm sure that I read that there are. Did you see any evidence of the machines?

Nope, no fast passes for Midway Mania. It is a fast loading ride .... but still, I'm surprised. I've heard rumors of a single rider line, but truthfully, I don't want someone I don't even know 'hogging' all the targets. :rotfl: It's bad enough when your friends do it! ;)

The one at WDW has FP. Go figure?

so excited--three more hours and then I get to leave to go ride Midway Mania!

I have read on MousePlanet that they have set the technology in place to add FP to TSMM in the future, but for now they have decided to not use it because they want to increase DCA's attendance figures by keeping people in the park longer.

Yep, I got Dream FPs for the 5th time! I think I've been pretty lucky.:cutie: We even used my old FPs from prior trips this time on Monday and had no issues whatsoever.

Yeah, it was the Ramada Limited pretty far south on Harbor. Weird rooms, paper thin walls, awful breakfast . . . but after a Tylenol PM I slept like a baby.:faint:

Funny, my boyfriend didn't mention you at all when he was gazing lovingly into my eyes and serenading me with "If You Want My Body, and You Think I'm Sexy". :rolleyes1 ;) :rotfl:

oh--that makes a lot of sense--keep them in the park longer--in line? I would think a FP would at least let people wander and buy food, drinks, merchandise rather than cooling their heels and not being able to do anything to add to the bottom line!

Now girls--calm down. There's plenty of him to go around . . . . and not to start a new fight, but I think he was giving Linda the eye too! ;)

Hey all.. Well with the grey skies of seattle and all your DL talk I am so wishing I could have gone to the mm. Sounds like you had a blast. I would have traded the pouring rain here for the long lines and heat for sure!

Hope you all are having a GREAT day!

I'm sorry to bring this up again but the day is coming up when I am going to surprise my parents with a DL trip. I was worried about how to surprise them since my mom is so anti-gifts from her kids.

Well my mom just recently commented to me that it is so very hard on her when her kids spend money on her. She used some dramatic phrase like "breaks my heart" or "it really hurts." I can't remember exactly what it was.

Now I'm really nutts-o about this gift. It's supposed to be a happy gift. I don't want her to get all upset and gushy over it. Grrrr This is so frustrating.

Should I give a big speach before they open the box about how proud I am to be able to do this for them, that it comes from my heart and that I'm doing this because I am so greatful for all they've ever done for me? Even that might not change the reaction.

Should I cancel the "gift" and on some random day say "Hey, I'm planning this DL trip. Wanna come?"

:lmao: Who new a trip to DL would be such a bad gift???

Yay! :)

My co-worker just left early because he's headed to DL with his family... I'm so jealous! lol

Note to self: Sit beside Chris on Toy Story Ride on my next trip so I can hog all the targets.

I presume you're going too? If so.............then it is a gift for all of you, to be with each other. And that is the best present you could give to your Mom. Time together!!!!!! Memories!!! Fun!!! Something she will remember for a long time, and cherish!!

How does that sound? :hyper:

By the way...........I'm Melody. Nice to meet you! :goodvibes

Hi ladies! I just went through a marathon cleaning of my house b/c we had some realtors come over at 2. I had 4 hours to get my house "show-ready" inside and out (which included edging/mowing lawns in 100 degree heat). I'm completely exhausted. Well, hopefully the house made a good impression on them and we'll be able to get the house on MLS.

I'm going to continue with the trip report, but probably not till later . . .

BTW, Stacie, where are you? You could do part 2, ya know. ;)

I didn't get up today until 11!! I didn't sleep well last night and just didn't feel like getting up. I couldn't believe you got on last night, you're on the ball!! But then you had someone taking care of you, whereas my house was a mess, nothing had been put away, including clean dishes, which meant both sinks were full of dirty dishes!!!

I can't remember what we did after seeing Billy either, it was all a blur!!

So I'm just waiting until you get to the part that I have pictures of... So feel free to continue, it just wouldn't feel right for me to do it :worship:

 Hi Melody!

lol... a gift of time together... hmmmm maybe "it's as much for me as it is for you"? :rotfl2: Thanks for your ideas. I'll have to choose my word wisely since it could mean the difference between :duck: or :furious: or :sad2:
Yikes!

I just don't get it. :confused3 I would  if my DD gives me a trip to DL with her when she grows up!

I just really really really don't want her to be upset over it.
