Uh oh, we are getting close to the bottom again. Here's a couple of pictures from last weekend at DL.

My score is on the left! I have no idea what that animal is??

And I have ANOTHER bruise on my arm. Everytime I go to DL, I get a bruise :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I just don't understand it!!
Great pics!!! Who is that with you and Cheryl? Looks like ya'll had fun.

I then took a mental chill pill and channeled my inner OKRA and moved on. (or if I had channelled my inner Okra, perhaps I would have snatched her bald!!!)

AMYSUE
I think Okra would have been kicked out of the park. Or maybe not, she would have sweet talked security into letting her stay after all. :cool2:

I experienced the House of the Future for the first time...ehh:rolleyes: , it was just okay. Saw the new Monorail Blue, but of course didn't get to ride it, just saw it gliding by. Oh well. Tried to make ressies for The Vineyard Room before it closes, but they were all booked so DD & I enjoyed The Trattoria. Yummy roasted chili and corn soup and Pizzietta Salad. (...and one little glass of wine for me ;) ). Too full for dessert.

Happy Labor Day week-end everyone.:wave2:

PS Love the Pix Stacie!
Sounds like you had a nice time. I'm so jealous of you all who get to go so often. ;)

AmySue I am with you when it comes to crowds. I don't like the people that stop right in my path or the ones that walk with their whole group straight across the walkway. You know, shoulder to shoulder. There is no way of getting around them.

Also the people that stand in the middle to figure out where to go, put on sunscreen, get jackets or anything else. Move over to the side to do this stuff.

Well I hope you ladies have a wonderful holiday weekend. I go back to work on Thursday:sad2: Ugh, when is winter break?
The worst is when they stop suddenly and bend down to tie their shoe! Then you literally almost go hurdling over their hunched over form! I hate that.

Doesn't that scene look heavenly!! I want to park my butt in one of those chairs right there with a cold strawberry lemonade and just chill. :cloud9:

Oh, and I saw RYAN complete with his double knit polyester royal blue pleated pants. Looking good, RY-RY!! Sadly Stacie, I wasn't quick enough with the camera to capture the moment. Bummer!!!

AMYSUE

Darn! You need to be faster with the camera. I need to keep up with how RY-RY is doing. Can never get enough of those double knit polyester royal blue pleated pants. ;) Yummy just thinking about it.

This is where I wish I could be this weekend. My favorite place in the world other than DLR:

Take me with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It looks amazing. Where is that?? Washington? Oregon?
I love a rocky coastline. I hate the beaches in SoCal. Not my kind of thing. I like a cold, foggy, rocky coast. :cloud9:

I see your Maui trip is only 10 days away!! How exciting! Are you packed yet? ;)

Quick question.....is anyone who is going to the mini meet in October considering wearing their brown and pink diva shirt from the last meet? Just wondering.

It's Kalaloch beach on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. It's near Forks, WA (made famous by the book Twilight). It's pretty close to where we are planning on moving if we ever sell this house.

The great thing about Kalaloch (pronounced Clay Lock) is that it has both kinds of beaches. Directly in front of the Lodge is a sandy beach that goes out into the shallow waves for a long time and then also has the rugged, rocky coast line. Seriously, my favorite place on the planet. Maui has a tall hill to climb if it's gonna top Kalaloch for me.

And nope, not even close to packing yet. Still doesn't seem to be real yet. Probably by next weekend I'll be in full packing mode.

Well, I never ordered one, but I am going to have my lanyard with me so I'll be wearing that.

Wow, it's so pretty!! I can't wait to spend some time up in WA. Not sure when that will be, probably not for a few years, but I just know I'm going to love it up there.

I'm sure Maui will be beautiful, but looking at that pic you posted makes me think nothing could top it.

That would be Stacielee's friend Kimberly--a great gal that we are trying to talk into coming to one of the Ladies' only meets. (She is an evil Pampered Chef saleswoman though who cleverly left a catalog on my kitchen table the morning she left . . . . oh the humanity!)

We did have a good time--and glad they came last weekend because THIS weekend is incredibly humid and yucky--sunny--but yucky. Hard to explain.

And Stacerita--I'll wear my brown and pink if you do--I know Linda likes the shirt too so I'm sure she'll be on board for wearing it too.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Cheryl

I'll have my lanyard with me...no shirt though:sad2:

Oooooh, peer pressure . . .

Ok, me too!

That is, if I actually get to come. :lmao:

(me whispering to everyone else except Callie): it's working, she's feeling the pressure!!!

Of course I'll wear my brown shirt!! It's all about matching, isn't it?

Hi all! I am on page 85...I am catching up! A couple questions...is there going to be a renovation of DCA? Someone mentioned the goldengate bridge wasn't going to be there anymore...is this true?

Sarah

Sarah

Hi Sarah, yes they are redoing it and adding to it. Supposed to be completed in 2011. They are adding things like a Little Mermaid ride, a water show that's supposed to be like Illuminations, and a new land called Cars Land.

If you Google California Adventure renovation, you'll get lots of info on it. :)

Speaking of matching I was thinking we should do something to match even before the tees were brought up.
Maybe something Halloween-ish since it will be around that time? I was going to see if I could find some sort of pumpkin light up necklaces or something I could buy for everyone if they weren't too expensive.

Or some headbands with some light up something or other attached since it will be close to dark by the time we meet up?

Or maybe we could do some feather boas like Chris' (Califgirl's) group used to? I think it was Chris who posted a pic of them all with matching lime green feather boas. http://www.haloheaven.com/featherboas.html That would be fun.

Or some tiaras like these maybe: http://www.haloheaven.com/tiaras.html

Anyone up for something like that or is it just silly? :confused3

Great then, I will plan on wearing my brown and pink shirt.

Beth - Having something matching like the tiaras or boas sounds great. Yeah its silly, but who cares. I think it will be fun to all do something silly like that. I'm down for whatever.
