Tinkermell... that's hard. I understand how you feel.. a couple of years ago my husband went back to school and got his masters. It was so Hard on me. He would fly out on thursday afternoon.. and fly home on monday morning for one year.. plus working full time.

It's been quite a crazy day. I did start my new exercise program, couch to 5k, and my dog almost killed herself.

Talk about being tired: physically and mentally!

You might want to think about picking up a few cans of sugar free redbull.. it's good to give you that little pick me up before a work out on days when you just don't want to do it.

I'm reading this thread and seeing about these meets, and it all sounds good to me. QUESTIONS: Is there an October meet. I think I read that there is/was, but I can't find more details about it. Can you share with me, some more info?
I got that there is a meet in March (just too far from today ) but I'm now curious bout the October one, or halloween one...

I'm going to the parks on thursday, day after tomorrow, yea... ahh, the sweet sounds and smells of main street. mmm,ooo,ahh

Any info you're willing to share, I'll be happy to listen to.

And no, he won't be coming home. Its too far for just a day or two and would cost too much money. He will already be getting out of the job a few days early. But that is because we can't change the Big Bear trip.

Hopefully the time will fly by. Thankfully the mini meet will keep me cheered up.

Hmm? Well I don't know if you can consider me so young. I am 52 years young, and my grandsons are 4/12 and 2 1/2.

I have 4 children.

DS-29 and married. No children. They can't. (Hoping for adoption some day.)

DS- 27 married with the 2 GSs.

DD- 25 married just last year

DD-14 Yes she was planned. She is the one that keeps me young.

I don't know about others, but I'd imagine that weekend to be pretty warm, and I wouldn't want longer sleeves. I could always put longer sleeves underneath if it's needed. We went the same weekend last year for DD's b-day and it was HOT, except at night after the sun went down.
I love the idea that Cheryl had with the Mickey/Minnie head, but not sure how we could get them accomplished. I know we had issues with the lime green mickey head last year. If it's an iron on, I'd have to beg someone else to help me out by doing it, we don't have the kind of printer you can do that with. And, if we all ironed them on ourselves, we would have all sorts of different shirts, which to me would make it much less cool.
Just my 2 cents (well, with all that said, I bet it's up to 5 cents now!)

I agree with you on all points. I'm always hot so I think short sleeves are good. As you said, it would be easy enough to add a shirt underneath if it got cold.

And while I love those transers from the DISigners, I don't have a way to do them here so someone would also have to do mine. Which I could manage if that's the way the group wants to go. I'm really open to anything, just nothing too tight, and please short sleeves. LOL

OH, and a scoop neck or v-neck versus a crew neck would be nice. I just think those are more flattering on most people. imo.

But this is good! We are getting input and seeing what we like and don't like and eventually we will have to start narrowing it down to something we can all agree/compromise on.
