Beth I am so sorry that they're not going to be able to do the retreat. *HUG* I'm keeping good thoughts that all of this will work out for you and your family.
Thanks Steph. I appreciate it. Truthfully, I'm more concerned about the pain then the bill. Shoot, what's more credit card debt at this point. LOL But I spent the night researching everything about having your teeth pulled and if I wasn't terrified before, I am now. :sad2: Yes, I am a glutten for punishment.

I am a bit worried about the drive home on Thursday afternoon as the weather looks like it's going to be iffy and we have to drive up into the mountains where the rain could be sleet, ice or snow. So, wish us a safe trip and I'll fill you in on the rest on Thursday night of Friday!:santa: :santa: :santa:
Hi Jane. Good to hear from you. Sounds like DL is going well even if Knotts didn't. Glad you loved the DEP. I hope the weather isn't too bad for you. Be safe!

And Beth I am so sorry about your teeth. I so feel your pain. I know how much it sucks to have stuff go wrong at the worst possible time. And I know all about the stupid braces. Our insurance only covered 1000 of 6000 braces and then Lynn's mom was supposed to give us half of the balance and then she bailed on us.
Ugh, that sucks. I guess when it rains it pours huh?

Anyway I am off to work for my last day for 4 days. Hope everyone has a fun day today. We have candlelight service tonight at church and then we are going to a family party that we go to every year where "santa" makes an appearance. So it should hopefully be fun.
That sounds nice! Have fun.

I just need to vent real quick. I hate when my staff calls in sick the day before holidays or the day after. Its really hard to give them the benefit of a doubt. Especially if they asked for it off and I couldn't give it to them. I came in all good to go today. Now I am all pissy and cranky. Not the way I wanted to spend today. Hopefully it will get better.
Ugh, that sucks. I hate that too. And it's so obvious! I mean they asked for it off and then suddenly they are sick or whatever. Come on. I hope your day goes ok and it doesn't bug you too much.

Happy Christmas Eve, Everyone!:santa:
To you too! I love Christmas Eve! Even more then Christmas. LOL

Edited since no wants to hear about my disappointment on Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas Everyone!
Heather! What's going on. Of course we want to hear about it. That's what friends are for. Holiday or not, we are here if you need to vent or whatever.

So last year, my 84 year old Dad told us his "Bucket Wish.":sad2: That was for every single one of us to make the best possible way to be together. There will be around 50 of us. Dave and I are hauling alot of the stuff to the party. Tables, ice chests, food...........My siblings are all helping out with various things too. Anywhos, looking so forward to this. :goodvibes
Awww, that sounds great. I love having big get togethers like that! And how cool that Club 33 is coming up so soon!

I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas Eve. Spent the morning baking and making truffles.
Mmmmmmm, that sound so good!!!!

Have a great Christmas everyone!
You too! Is your snow still sticking around? Would make for a pretty Christmas if it was. :santa:

After that I have to head home so we can all pile into the van and head to grandma's for tamales and family time.
Sorry about having to work, but time at Grandma's for some tamales and family time sounds really special. Enjoy!!

Heather, I read your post but wasn't able to comment before you edited it. You never know how much the schedule may change. I hadn't heard about the fireworks? I kind of figured about the parade because of the Main St repairs. I also hadn't heard about Fantasmic, I thought it would still happen on the weekend.

Even if all of that isn't going when we're there, I promise that you will still have a magical time.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I finished wrapping everything last night. All I have to do tonight is put the presents out and fill the stockings. Dh has to build Rhys's tricycle, hopefully it won't take too long.

I hope you all have a great time with your families and friends,

steph

I hope everyone is having a good Christmas Eve!!

I woke up this morning sick as a dog! :scared: Something I ate I guess. :confused3 I seem to be ok now (knock on wood!!), so we are going ahead with our dinner plans for tonight.
Then tomorrow morning I'm sure the present opening will begin bright and early, lol, followed by a big family breakfast. Hashbrown casserole, eggs, sausage, grits, cinnamon rolls, fruit, etc. Yum!
We'll go to the movies later in the day and that will about do it. Maybe drive around and look at more lights. We'll see.

Talk to y'all later. :)

Thanks Beth and Steph! :santa:

I know you all care, I just didn't want to be the whiner on Christmas Eve! ;)

I am going to focus on all the good things and not worry.

I've been baking and baking today. I never have the TV on all day, but the boys and I have watched all kinds of Christmas cheer today. The more I get done, the more excited I get about tomorrow. :santa:

I was going to make the Breakfast Lasagna, but when I got the waffle maker out, it was broke. I know I could make do, but don't want to. I think I will save the recipe for Easter. I found a recipe that sounds good. It's a Sausage Gravy and Biscuit casserole. DH and I are from the South, and it sounds heavenly to us! ;)

I'm making stuffed flank steak for dinner tonight. I have a cheeseball chilling for tomorrow also. I made cookies this morning. I'm not stressing about anything. I have everything I NEED to get done done. Everything I do now is just icing on the cake.

I hope everyone is having a special day!

Talk with you all later!

Heather

No moer snow. The rain washed it all away, but it's really cloudy and cold so maybe more snow tonight.

Although i love biscuits and gravy! We are having it tomorrow with country fried potatoes and onions. yummmmmmmy... {OOps.. Cover Tracey's ears! :hug: }

Steph... aahhh... i miss getting to drink wine while my husband put together toys!:rotfl:

Heather... i read about some of those things not being avaliable..but i didn't know if they would be back on when we were there.

If not.... we should use that change as a negotiating tool for our VIP tour.. I am sure they will understand the point and make amends.:thumbsup2

Or else we can squeelor pants and say ...Hey what kinda VIP tour is this?

We can work it out...i believe in Disney Magic:wizard:

I hope everyone is having a great day!
I was able to get the boys to see Santa.
Jordan is 12 and although he doesn't like he goes.
This has been the same Santa since he was a baby, so
for 12 years we have had the same one.

Ahhh... how kewl that it's the same santa year after year:goodvibes ... great pic.. thanks for sharing.

You have a wonderful christmas eve and a special day tomorrow.
:santa:

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my DL Girls Only Trip friends.

:santa:

And to all who may need/want one...a great big :grouphug:

Good afternoon all! I am back from my crazy day! I ended up working longer than I had planned but at least I am finally done for 4 days which is nice. WHEW! Then mom and I had to run around and deliver her last few client gifts and then brave the grocery store. MADHOUSE! LOL. But now I am finally home and we are all ready to head to mom's here in a few minutes to start our evening.

Heather I wouldn't worry. Who knows what will be going on by then. And hey you get to spend a weekend with us wild women and NOTHING is better than THAT right! ;) I know how much it stinks because I am sure you are looking forward to all the things you wanted to see. I know with me I only get to DW once every three years and esp this last trip we knew it might be our last for a LONG LONG time because of the economy and now that our kids are older etc so I was really dissapointed when some things were down etc because I knew I wouldn't be back but hopefully a lot of stuff will not be down that they say is now. Esp on the weekends. I know that even in the "off" season they still usually do things like fireworks and fantasmic on weekends so I would be really surprised if that was gone. So don't fret just yet. You can't really do much about the rehab schedule but hopefully since you don't live TOO far if there is stuff that is down maybe you can make another trip before you guys move! Especially since this is a ladies only trip you can make one with the boys and your hubby!

Anyway it is about that time so I better run. I doubt I will get on tomorrow so everyone have a GREAT!!!! Christmas! See you Friday or whenever! Enjoy! :)

Work was absolutely chaotic but my lovely ASM Lisa said that we were going to aim to leave at 6:15 instead of 7pm because everyone had places to be and people to see. We ended up clocking out at 6:30pm! It was great, we were really fast. We are just finishing packing up and we're heading out to my grandma's house.

Have a very Merry Christmas girls!

I'm SO tired.

I just wanted to stop in a wish everybody a Merry Christmas! I hope you all enjoy time with your loved ones.

Merry Christmas DL Divas!
Wishing you all a joyous and peaceful day with your loved ones or doing whatever you may be doing today!

Morning ladies.

Beth - don't stress too much. It won't be as bad as you think. It never is. Check to see if you can do payment plans with your dentist. It will still cost a lot I am sure. But by doing payments, it might make it a bit easier to swallow. If you do it ahead of time, they should be able to work with you. And if you can pay them in cash when you do, they might give you a break as well. Good luck.

I remember a company I used to work at had a policy that if you called in sick the day before the holiday, you didn't get holiday pay unless you produced a doctor's note. Sad that a company would have to resort to that--but understandable since people do things they shouldn't! Hope your day was ok in the end!

First of all--Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope you're having a great day! It's cold and rainy here--and really just perfect for staying home and snuggling in the house with Mom. (Well, snuggling with the cats--not Mom! LOL) Lots of leftovers from last night (dinner was delish and the popovers were a big hit!)

Good morning ladies!

Besides, being ready for Christmas, I also have to pack and get ready for a big family gathering on Saturday. It has been YEARS since my siblings and their children have all gotten together in one place. :goodvibes

I'll be thinking of you on Monday--that's what holidays are for--memories--kudos to your Dad for suggesting something you all will cherish in the years to come.

So I do have to work today :headache:
I work 2:30-7pm. After that I have to head home so we can all pile into the van and head to grandma's for tamales and family time.

We had tamales last night too--my Mom made 8 dozen--sent three dozen home with my cousins, she has a bunch at home and we probably have a dozen or so cooked and ready to warm up again for tonight! (maybe we'll warm up two, with everything else--LOL) Does your family make pork tamales? that's what we make.

Heather! What's going on. Of course we want to hear about it. That's what friends are for. Holiday or not, we are here if you need to vent or whatever.

Once again, we both had the same response! LOL--and I like Christmas Eve better than Christmas too. I just wish I hadn't been so lazy last night and had gone to the midnight service at church--it's my favorite!

I finished wrapping everything last night. All I have to do tonight is put the presents out and fill the stockings. Dh has to build Rhys's tricycle, hopefully it won't take too long.

steph

shhhh--I haven't wrapped ANY of my friends' kids things. I'm seeing most of them next week so will have to do it before then. Luckily none of them involve putting something together!

!
We'll go to the movies later in the day and that will about do it. Maybe drive around and look at more lights. We'll see.

Talk to y'all later. :)

Hope you feel better and you are having a great day! What movie did you finally decide on?

Thanks Beth and Steph! :santa:

Heather

As my uncle used to say--SHARESIES!!!!!!! That sounds so yummy--since I don't think you can overnight the casserole could you share the recipe? (please)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my DL Girls Only Trip friends.

:santa:

And to all who may need/want one...a great big :grouphug:

Shelley--I hope you're having a wonderful time and it's not too cold where you are! I actually had this weird dream last night that somehow my best friend and I ended up traveling to Quebecois (why it was called that in my dream I don't know) and it extremely cold. Then the bus from the airport (which was like Magical Express) dropped us off at the wrong hotel and we ended up having to go across the river to the right hotel. It WAS a weird dream!

Merry Christmas to all . . (but I won't say good night yet!)

Hope you feel better and you are having a great day! What movie did you finally decide on?
We haven't!! LOL The girls still want to see Marley and Me, but all the reviews I read are calling it a tear jerker and saying they really sock it to you at the end, dragging it out more then necessary. So.....we are still home. :rolleyes1

It's been a good day so far though. The presents were all a hit! And breakfast was so good. We've been lazy. Just hanging out, playing with all the new games, and toys. :goodvibes But now I'm starting to feel like I'm ready to get out of the house for a bit. So hopefully we can figure out somewhere to go.

Hope everyone's day is nice and merry! :santa:

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!
Hope everyone is having an absolutely fabulous day. Ours was truly wonderful. Everyone loved all their presents. Family is on their way over here for dinner. Filet Mignon, potatoes, salad and rolls. I will probably be stresssing soon, but it will be fine. ;)
