Hi all,

Just popping in to wish you all Merry Christmas. Today was a crazy busy day and I'm exhausted. We were up till 2am wrapping and the kids woke up at 6am.

Beth...so sorry about your teeth. I've had my wisdom teeth pulled but it was long ago and I don't remember much. As with any dental work, the injections of anesthetic pretty much suck but after that the pain isn't bad, just the weirdness of people pulling and tugging in your mouth. I even have weird roots apparently. The dentist said they are hooked and tangled so he had the break my teeth into pieces to remove each bit instead of pulling. Sorry if that grosses anyone out. It didn't hurt any more than regular I guess but the sound was creepy.

Anyways, they should give you some pain meds and you will be sore after and not able to drink from a straw etc for a bit, but you should do fine. I'll cross my fingers that everything goes well (and that your roots are nice and straight..lol).

Heather...no worries about what will be closed (I didn't see the post before you edited but I am guessing that is the worry). I will miss Pirates too if it is closed but just being in Disney is awesome in itself. There is always something closed at DLR or WDW and its easy to get bummed about it but there is so much else to do!! And we can help ease the stress by telling ourselves if a lot IS not available, maybe others will decide not to visit at that time and we will have low crowds as a nice plus!!

Jane, glad you are having fun at DLR! Sorry about the rain but I hope it brought you low crowds. I've never seen the park at Christmas, I bet its beautiful!

Everyone else..hope you had a wonderful day today with your families.

Good evening all! Hope everyone had a GREAT day!! We had a good one. Last night we had a nice evening with everyone. The church service was lovely and then we went to the family party which was nice. We came home and had to wait up a bit before we could play santa and so I was pretty tired when I went to bed and then last night it was really windy out. Then at 3 a.m. I got this tapping on my back and Katy said MOM Santa came. I was like GREAT now go back to bed! LOL.

Anyway we were up again by 7ish and mom and dad came over and we did presents here and then we went to their house and did presents there. Then we had a nice laid back day. No one ended up coming over so it was just us. I know mom was dissapointed but I enjoyed having just us for a change. I used to feel bad because christmas always meant seeing the extended family but since they are all being buttheads and playing this stupid game (they invited everyone but us to christmas dinner) I could give a rip.

Anyway usually my dad hogs the tv with stupid golf or football or something but I actually was able to get the remote and we watched planes, tranes and automobiles, a christmas story and then I had shane run home and get or dvd of the bucket list. It was fun to just veg and watch movies. Plus dad made a fire so it was nice.

The girls LOVED all their gifts and had fun playing with everything.

Now tomorrow mom and I have to hit walmart to get our wrapping paper, boxes and bows etc for next year and then Shane and I didn't get eachother any gifts and mom and dad didn't get us anything but rather gave us both money so we could buy a new dvd player as ours is taking a dump. So tomorrow Shane is going to go pick one up and then we are going to go out and help lynn get herself a cell phone with her job money that she has been saving up. We then have to take Katy to the store to pick out her birthday cake for next weekend so I can get it ordered. So it should be a fun and exciting day. Then Shane has to work all weekend as does Lynn so I should be able to veg the rest of the weekend.

STILL don't know if we are going to Truckee next week yet as it depends on Lynn's work schedule which HOPEFULLY we will know in the next few days. So that's it for me.

Hope everyone had a GREAT christmas.

See you gals tomorrow!! :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!
Hope everyone is having an absolutely fabulous day. Ours was truly wonderful. Everyone loved all their presents. Family is on their way over here for dinner. Filet Mignon, potatoes, salad and rolls. I will probably be stresssing soon, but it will be fine. ;)
Hope dinner went well. It sounds really nice. :)

We were up late too. Until after 1 a.m. getting everything together. And then they woke us up early.
OMG, yikes about your teeth!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I'm going to ask for heavy duty meds. I don't do pain well at all. I'm a wimp!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a great day. :goodvibes
I hope you did too! Look at your ticker! Only 19 days. :yay:

Awww, how cute about her waking up so excited......and so early!! LOL
I'm glad your Christmas was nice and peaceful. You deserve it.
I'll be hitting Walmart and Target tomorrow too. I always buy my stuff on clearance for the next year. I have to. No way can I pay full price for it all. Hopefully there are some cheap deals to be found.

Well, we didn't end up seeing a movie after all. Did anyone see Marley and Me? Reviews?

We were just lazy and having too much fun just hanging out and relaxing. The kids just played and played all day. No bickering at all!! Now that's a Christmas miracle. LOL

Plus right when we decided to go out, it started to pour down rain so we just stayed in and enjoyed it. :goodvibes

Now I am exhausted from staying up late last night and waking up early, so I'm off to bed. Night all.

Hi everyone I wanted to stop on by to wish everyone a Merry Christmas before it wasn't Christmas anymore:lmao:

We didn't arrive to my grandma's house until about 9:30pm. We ate dinner and had a lot of fun just hanging out with family. At precisely midnight we went around hugging everyone and saying Merry Christmas and the girls ran to open presents. I loved all my gifts and I was sad that I wasn't able to buy everyone a gift because I really do like to give presents.

I didn't go to bed until about 2:30am and woke up at 10am. I watched some Ski Patrol on Tru tv before my grandma made breakfast. Around 1:30pm I plopped back in bed SO tired. We didn't get home until about 6pm. We headed to Winnetka with the intent of watching the Tale of Desperaux but it took us so long to find a restaurant that was open (ate @ Denny's where the waitress had SUCH an attitude:mad:) that we wouldn't have made it in time so we headed back home to open the rest of the presents.

I did get my DDR for Wii so I opened it up and started playing. My mom and sister also tried it a few times. So funny!

Now my parents are watching a movie while my sisters are asleep. I'm online looking for great DAC (day after Christmas) sales online because I DO not want to be stuck in lines all day tomorrow. I might have to work at 8am so that would be bad enough!

After thinking about this for a long time I have some bad news.

I won't be able to join all you lovely ladies for the Girls' Only Trip in March. I'm barely making my monthly CC payments as it is and I don't see anything changing in the near future. I did receive some money for Christmas but I have things that I NEED like gas, clothes, school stuff, etc.

I'm bummed that I won't be able to join you this year but hopefully circumstances will allow me to join you for at least one day and if not than for 2010.

I will still be reading along to see what fun plans you girls decide upon.

Hi Gals,
I am glad to see everyone had a good Christmas. Our's was wonderful and quiet. We all staye din PJ's until about 6, when we bathed and put new PJ's on and watched a movie. Very peaceful, and just my little family. We splurged and bought my oldest the Itouch thing, and he was so incredibly surprised and thrilled beyond belief. It was really cool.

Cristabel, I am so sorry to hear that you won't be able to join us. It is difficult when you have too many things making demands on your funds. I hope that you will come for a day. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Merry Belated Christmas! Hope everyone enjoyed their day. We are buried in snow and wondering when we might be able to drive back to Phoenix. Hopefully by Sunday.

Sorry, but I haven't had time to read back much. My kids are giving me a really hard time whenever they see me on the computer. Plus, my mom doesn't cook, so I've been in charge of all the cooking. Yesterday's evening meal was awesome (if I do say so myself). Ham, potatoes, broccoli, baked brussel sprouts, and fried apples.

Kenyon's begging me to play Pictureka with him, so I better run!

Beth - so sorry about your bad news on the teeth.

Cristabel -   I'll pray we get to see you in March, even for a bit.

Happy Christmas weekend everyone!

Morning all! Cristabel I am SO sorry to hear that you won't be making it but I can DEF feel your pain. DH was asked to take a 6/hr pay cut the day before Christmas and then they didn't have them work on Christmas eve and they already were off on Christmas and then today and they will be off on New Year's day and next Friday as well. They don't get paid time off so we are going to be hurting for the next few weeks for pay and the first few weeks of the month are the toughest for us cuz that is when rent and Shane's truck payment are due and we JUST had to pay his 500 truck registration plus christmas plus we have Katy's birthday party next Saturday so I feel ya!!

But it never ends does it. I STILL haven't bought my plane ticket for march and I am dreading it cuz my credit card is back over 3000 and it was paid off a few months ago and now I have balances on my penneys AND my Macys card both from christmas. But it is what it is.

I probably shouldn't be going on the trip either. Shane and I's 10th anniversary is in February and we have been planning for YEARS to do something good like renew our vows or take a trip but now that is OUT. In fact we'll be lucky if we even go to dinner! Lynn's 17th is in February and then not only do I have the ladies trip in March but I PROMISED Shelby a trip to Disneyland for HER birthday in April so we are going for a whole WEEK in April. That was why when we decided to do the ladies trip in March I was a bit stressed because I had ALREADY booked our April trip. At least my hotel and airfare for THAT trip is already paid for but STILL there is food and Goofy's kitchen and a birthday cake and on and on.

BUT the only good news is I am counting on a REALLY good tax return so that will help and maybe we will get lucky and our new pres will give us another stimulus! That is what I used for DW! :) Who knows. We all have to have faith!

It sucks but things ALWAYS have a way of working out!

Anyway on a positive note a gal here in town who was a waitress at our local Denneys get a 400 "tip" from some strangers who came in on Christmas eve. It was on the news last night. It was such a great story! So miracles DO happen! :) She said she didn't know how she was going to pay her rent or buy her baby christmas. These people came in and said every year they pick a stranger to give a gift too. It was really awesome!

And I called my uro and left a message and I think I am DEF going to try and get my surgery rescheduled. The more I thought about it the more I think it is for the best. I don't want to be miserable and I KNOW I will be so sick if I have to wait till that late in the day so we shall see what happens. I know they will prob be mad but I have to do what is best for me so we shall see what happens.

Anyway I am off soon to shop with mom. Hope everyone has a GREAT day!!

See yall later!

Good Morning!

I had a great Christmas! It sounds like others did as well.

We still have presents under the tree for the boys to open. They were so overwhelmed by all the new stuff that they shut down yesterday afternoon. I'm half tempted to rewrapp what they haven't opened and it give them as birthday gifts! :thumbsup2

I took 269 pictures yeasterday! I will be spending lots of time today gong through them. I have a website with all of the boys pictures, videos, and updates for the fam back east. They will start rioting if I don't get the Chrsitmas pics up today!

Breakfast was ok. I need to tweak the recipe some, but once I have it down, I will post it.

Dinner was excellent. We had a whole filet of beef. Cooked that way, it melted like butter in our mouths. Fabulous!

I'm off to feed the baby. Talk with you all later.

Oh, and I'm sorry you won't be making it Cristabel. I hope the new year brings releif to all of us that are struggling.

Heather

Cristabel: I'm really sorry you won't make it for the girls' trip either--but maybe at least you can get there for one day. (It sucks being an adult, doesn't it?)

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday--we watched it rain yesterday and watched the last part of Bad Santa because we couldn't stay up the night before to watch the whole thing so we DVR'd it. A very funny adult movie (not for kids :scared1: :scared1: )

So Mom left this morning and I am back in the office and it's very quiet--just me and my assistant. We're hoping to get caught up in the next week since one of my big clients is off until after the 5th.

Have a great Friday to all of you shopping--and be CAREFUL!

I'm excited! Stacielee, Callie, and I just got a great deal on airfare. :cool1: I now have plane tickets and a VIP tour booked! This trip really is happening!

OK, just had to share my joy. I hope you all are having great days also.

Heather

Ok, now that I've calmed down (a little), I need to know exactly how a person like me can travel to DLR for a long weekend with only one carry on bag and a personal item. I have been instructed to only bring such, so that we are not bogged down by checked baggage. It will be worth the master packing skills I'm about to aquire just to be able to spend more time in the park.

Did I tell you yet how excited I am!?!?

Good afternoon all! I am back from my crazy day. Mom came over bright and early and we hit three stores. I was able to get most of my stuff at Walmart all except boxes. We then went to three other stores and NO luck. I was soo bummed cuz that is what I really needed. So then I came home and Shane had gotten our blue ray all hooked up. He was able to get a deal at circuit city where when you buy one you get 2 free blue rays so he bought 300 which is not really my kind of thing and since we had most of the newer movies already and there was nothing I could think of I had him get phantom of the opera. I already had it on dvd but I thought it would probably be amazing on blue ray and I figured I would give my mom my old dvd copy. But anyway as we were watching 300 our power went out. So we left and ran up to the store and it was out there and I found out it was out for a LONG ways. Over 6000 people had lost power and the crazy part is it is a beautiful day. No rain or wind or anything. But anyway I was able to get my mail and I got cards from both wendys and Mary Jo! THANKS so much. Mary Jo LOVE the castle card!!! And Wendy K LOVE your card!! It is GREAT!!!! That is SO us in 40 years!!! ;)

Anywho then I picked up my pics from christmas at Longs and lo and behold they had boxes!! So I picked up 3 packages LOL.

Then we went to savemart and Katy ordered her cake for next weekend. A Disney princess one of course! ;)

And then we set out on the ordeal of getting Lynn's cell phone. What a giant pain in the butt THAT was. But it is done at least. Now we are just waiting till she has to go to work and then tonight will be kick back finally! WHEW!

Hope everyone had a good day! See yall later!

:thumbsup2 Congratulations on your first tag! You'll have to let us know what thread that came from. I've been missing out on a lot, obviously.

The first two lines are from my tag before. Although, the tag fairy changed just to justing...

The line about Elvis was from this thread a few days ago. Someone mentioned an Elvis picture in the Mansion.

*sniff sniff* I never thought I'd get a tag. I'm soooo happy to be one of the cool kids now!

Heather

The words were yours. I just changed the color ;) Glad you like your tags.

I'm so excited for your plane tickets--and your tags!!!!! The Tag Fairy is the best!

After thinking about this for a long time I have some bad news. I won't be able to join all you lovely ladies for the Girls' Only Trip in March.
Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear that!! :guilty: We will miss you. Darn it! When am I ever going to meet you?? Maybe things will improve and you will be able to join us for a day.
But I do understand. More then you know.

We are buried in snow and wondering when we might be able to drive back to Phoenix. Hopefully by Sunday.
I hope you're able to get home when you need to, safe and sound.

But it never ends does it.

No, it never ends! :sad2:
That's so neat about the big tip! I LOVE stories like that. I always joke with Ruben that if we ever win the lotto, not to get too excited because we won't be rich for long.......I'd give it all away!! I'd love to be able to do things like that. How fun.

I got visited by the tag fairy!!!!!
How awesome!!!

I need to know exactly how a person like me can travel to DLR for a long weekend with only one carry on bag and a personal item.
Is that a trick question?? Because it's not possible.

Is it supposed to be "justing"? :confused3
