I want to go see it, but will probably have to wait until it comes out on video. It's so hard to find time for myself these days. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I must have missed Beth talking about pumpkin muffins, but I have to add that the starbucks around here have great ones with cream cheese filling. Yum!

I know you weren't talking to me, but I had to add my 2 cents! :)

Yeah, it always surprises me how opinionated people can get about what others want to do. I tend to take a 'live and let live' policy to life.
Hi Heather!

I'm curious what thread you are talking about? :confused3

Also thanks for your Monkey Bread recipe. It sounds delicious. I also make Monkey Bread, and it has become a tradition for Christmas morning the last few years. Mine is about the same minus the pecans. I always use to say it was called Monkey Bread, cuz my kids would act like crazy monkeys trying to get a chunk of it. :rotfl:

Hope you are feeling better!

Yummy! Thanks for the recipe. I can't wait to try and make some. I'm not much of a baker, but I'll do anything for the monkeys! :rotfl:

Well, after living in the South for a while, I now LOVE pecans and find a reason to put them in anything.

I love the Caramel Pecan Buns at Cinnabon. My recipe is as close as I think I'm going to get to those homemade. I say the glaze is optional becuase with the baked pecans and the sugar coating you pour over it before you bake, it makes it's own 'glaze'. When I turn my bread out, the pecans and the sugar glaze just run down the sides. Yummy!

I keep french toast reserved for holidays. I just never feel like making it, and it always makes such a mess!

Now, if I can make this so can you! It's really just stirring things together in the right order and throwing it in the oven. Easy!

Besides, you have to keep those monkeys happy! Maybe if you put some out on your porch and wait up all night, the Great Monkey Bride will come visit, and bring you treats. Remember, you have to completely believe in the Monkey Bride in order for her to show up. You can't show any doubt, or she'll pass you by. ;)

I'm lucky if I don't burn pre-made cookie dough. Baking and I don't really get along. Although, I can make a pretty good apple coffee cake.

Very true! There's too many nonbelievers around here. It's making the monkey bride sad.

Yep! I'm sure that's why people go looking for her, and still never see her. If only they believed...:rolleyes1

I know! People need to believe! They need to believe in the monkey bride! Believe people, believe! When you believe, she will come to you!

DBF and I believed, and yet could not find her the other night. And we both looked really really hard. Still no where in sight.

So the other day my company sent me to a time management seminar, and it was great. I think it was just what I needed, especially now that the holidays are coming up. But now I have to go to the Franklin Covey store to pick out a new planner. The one they gave me at the seminar just isnt me. So I have to now schedule time to get my time scheduler :sad2: I am stoked about the class and what I learned. If I follow it, I'm sure I will be more productive and more in control. And let me tell you its exactly what I need in my life. And I pledged to the presenter to follow it for at least 21 days. Wish me luck.

:lmao:

I used to use their systems, and I did like it. There was a store in the mall near me. When I moved away, I lost interest in it.

It's a great tool though. :thumbsup2

Thats good to hear. I hope the whole "21 days to form a habit" thing will help me. If I can keep it up for those 3 weeks we will see. But I'm glad that someone other than the instructor tells me they like the system.

Okay I'm back from our 20th anniversary cruise! It was a blast!! I didn't take a lot of pictures, but I'll post the ones I did take. Now, after catching up on about 25 pages of posts...

We need to know if anyone is interested in the scavenger hunt?

If so please post yes or no within this thread.

Thank you!:goodvibes

Me, please add me!

Well ladies I had to make a tough decison about the ladies only trip to California. Though I really wanted to go. The air fare was more than twice that it was last year. Now with the awesome deals with the WDW package. I had to decide what was best. As I was paying for my son to go. So unfortunatley I will be backing out this year. I got the the whole trip airfare, tickets and hotel for 1744.00 canadian for 7 nights. Which is awesome.

With are dollar worth 1.29 US it was not making sense to be paying hotel and tickets in US funds because then you have the conversion rate so it ends up costing me around 1.35 Canadian for every US dollar I would spend.

The airfair down was around 680.00 X 2 plus hotel plus tickets and food was just not making any sense to pay that much. And we would only have 5 days there really.

My son has not been to disney since he was a little kid. So I really wanted to give him a good time. And finances dictated really what was the better thing to do.

But I will be still coming to visit you at this thread. Maybe next year the prices will be back to normal :)

Hi Ruth, I'm sorry to hear you won't make it this time. Guess that will make the next time even more special! Hope to see you then!!

Good Morning ladies! I have a "lovely" day ahead of me. First, I get to clean the house to show condition because I fired my realtor yesterday. She has done absolutely NOTHING to get this house sold and yesterday was the second time someone has used the lock box to enter our house when I was not properly notified. I was so angry I was spitting nails yesterday. :furious: So, we are interviewing a new realtor today which means the house has to look its best.

If that isn't enough fun, I also get to go to the endodontist (root canal specialist) for an evaluation. I'm not sure which I am dreading most, the root canal or the dental bill. :scared:

Anyone just wanna shoot me and put me out of my misery?

Wishing I was tagging along with Tina at DLR right about now. . . :rolleyes1

You know me, I'm always wishing I was at DL!!

Hope everything went well!!

Well, I just spent my entire morning, when I should have been doing the dishes and cooking a decent breakfast for my kids, etc on my disboard signature. It was such a mess. Hope you like my new, orderly, centered version.

Centered is good! Just ask Callie!!

Good Morning!

I've been on the Dis for many years now, and usually things go really smoothly here.

I'm starting to feel better. It's nice having a weekend off. I called off sick yesterday, and have today off so that DH can go to the Cardinals/Giants game. I'll miss him.

I started feeling better last night, and made some monkey bread. mm mmm good. My older DS tried it for the first time, and had the biggest smile on his face! :goodvibes It made me feel like such a good Momma.

OK, talk with you all later!

Heather

Hi Heather, we drove by the stadium today coming home from CA! What a mess!! And the Cards lost! That stinks!!

I hope you're feeling better, I never saw a final list posted for the contest you did... who won?

Monkey Bread! Love it! That made me realize I haven't made it in so long, just what I need before starting to cut down on eating after the cruise!

And I am still sooooooooo excited! I tried to share with my hubby but of course he just doesn't get it. He just kind of looked at me with this weird expression on his face and then said "you're going on a Disney trip with a bunch of women you don't know?" He has asked me this question about a gazillion times and I keep explaining the trip, yet every time I bring it up he acts suprised. :headache: He better get a grip soon, or he'll be real suprised when I am gone for 5 days and he suddenly realized he has munchkin/house duties. :rolleyes1

My DH didn't get it last time either, pretty much asked me the same questions. Now he gets it, well maybe not, but he's okay with it :)

Hopefully I didn't miss anything important. I did get a tote bag for someone special! And something to put in it. Hope whoever gets it loves it, although I might keep it, still haven't decided ;)

Thanks Heather!:lovestruc

:rotfl2:

I do believe in monkeys.

I do believe in monkeys.

I do.

I do.

Now, we'll see if she reveals herself to me! 4 weeks from today, I'll be back in the 'Land!:santa:

Glad to see you back Stacie! I hope you had as much fun as I imagined you having! :)

I'm waiting for the last winner to pick up her PM. Beth is going to call her today or tomorrow depending on when she has time. (Her Mom is visiting.) Once she knows and accepts her prize then I'm going to announce the winners and the winnings to everyone. I know we're excited to find out! :woohoo:
