Did I scare everyone away? :sad2:

Everybody left when Auntie Mel wanted to come out and play, how sad. I'm here Auntie Mel!!! I was over in the trip report forum working on my trip report. Lots more pictures up if you want to take a gander. :flower3:

Cheryl, My idea of a t-shirt was Michelle's ideal I think? Wear our brown and pink ones from last year.

OR I was thinking of Sleeping Beauty's Castle done in glitter on a pretty color.

???????????????

Ok..............I think I will. BRB!

I LOVE Town Square! I am up for most anything, but I really like Chili's and CPK... This will be so much fun!
CPK was really good today.....I'd be up for that again next month. :rolleyes1 :rotfl: I'll eat anywhere as long as there is some sort of chicken dish. LOL I don't eat steak or seafood.

I will go to the Cove Bar for drinks and nachos minus the lobster.......
That's what I was thinking, minus the lobster.

I second this motion.

Cove bar good, drinks good, nachos good... lobster not so much with the good!

From what I've heard, the spinach artichoke dip is good and much more my speed.

Did I scare everyone away? :sad2:

Nope, I just got here! ;)

This is very important, escpecially at DL/DCA. Imagine having your corn dog, churro, tigger tail, drumstick etc. in one hand, and the need to get your tote bag onto your shoulder. I know I don't want to put any of those delicious morsels down, even for a second.

Just another thought.

Love how you plan ahead. :teeth:

I just want to say . . . I was sitting here ready everyone's posts and thinking how a year or so ago I didn't know any of you, and was lurking and reading about your upcoming trip . . . .and then I decided (last January I believe) to get "brave" and post and see about coming on your trip with you--and I am SO glad I did! This is a great group of ladies. (and they really are "ladies"--in every sense of the word!)

So . . . . if there are any lurkers out there like I was . . don't be afraid come and join us. It may seem like a bunch of us already know each other (and we do) but this is a very welcoming bunch too and we'd like to have YOU join us too! And if you're still too shy to post--PM Beth or me or Stacerita or anyone else that you feel comfortable posting a PM to and we'll be sure to respond back!

Cheryl

:wizard: :wizard:

Cheryl, what a nice thing to say & sooo true!!!!!

We haven't had a chance to meet and talk about it, but what does everyone think about 7?

Sounds good to me

It's not a pizza thing, silly, it's a PIZZA PARTY!!!!! :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2: party:

:woohoo:

Sorry, Beth, but that pic of pizza is the most unappetizing thing I've seen since your kitty litter cake.

Couldn't you find a better pizza pic? Really, something yummy looking? And after all that delicious food porn you posted I expected more from you. . . disappointing . . . so disappointing . . . :sad2: :sad2:

Well, as long as the pizza we actually get looks better than what Beth posted, ;) I'll be at the pizza party. That is IF I get to come.

Sorry . . . it's still a big IF depending on our house sale, etc.

Hope you can make it, Callie... and it looks like Beth came through with some tasty looking pizzas (though my favorite today is the thin crust jalapeño pizza... yum)

MaryJo..it's so nice to meet you! Melody told me how sweet you are. It will be so fun to mee you..mabe we can get a pic with one of the seven dwarfs!:wizard:

I'm looking forward to actually meeting you in person, too! I'm laughing at the thought of us taking a pic with the 7 dwarves --- and NOBODY better come up with names for us!!! lol

Bleh! BAD NEWS!!!! :sad2:

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining and was told that Carnation Cafe will not take large party reservations at all. Party of six is as large as they will go.

I was kind of afraid of that. Shoot. So now we have to decide what to do instead. She said in the parks the places that will take a large party reservation are:

Blue Bayou (which we are already doing for lunch, and some people already did last time)

Cafe Orleans (I'd eat there again, but seems like some of you didn't care for it so I'm not sure if you'd want to do it again.)

Wine Country Trattoria in DCA (We had a small meet there in June and I think we were all happy with our food/service.)

So I need thoughts, opinions and ideas on what you'd like to do that night.

Oh, and I know some of you mentioned you'd be willing to make a reservation, but then won't we all get different times? :confused3

I think we reserve at 10 minute intervals, so it depends how many groups we have... Any place is fine with me - we can also consider Naples in Downtown Disney - but not sure if you ladies would want to or not...

OK, we'll give it the old Disney-magic try! LOL (Gee, that sounds lame! haha)

I'll make one reservation, and I think Steph and Mary Jo said they'd make one each.

If not, do we want WCT as a back-up?

Even after what I said earlier (ha ha), sounds good to me.

Are any ladies interested in going to the Cove Bar for lobster nachos and drinks while we are there? I have heard a lot about this place, but have never spent any grown up time there.

Carnation will work as long as we make ressies the first day they are available and have several different ladies make them. We won't be seated together, but we'll fill the place for sure! ;)

I've never gone to the Cove Bar - sounds like it might be fun.

OR better yet, we can still try for Carnation Cafe for dinner Friday AND do Wine Country Trattoria on Sunday!!! We don't have any meals planned for that day yet!

Anything on Friday is fine with me. Sunday is my daughter, Kelly's 21st birthday, so after the Segway tour I'm comin' home. :)

Mmmm pizza and wine from Naples=yummy. I know some people don't agree with that though.

With a nice barbera and a cheese pizza I'll be in heaven! :cloud9:

Hey, we should get our pizza from Naples for the pizza party! :rotfl:

Hi Mary Jo!!

Have you ever done a scavenger hunt at DL?

I go to work and the thread almost doubles in size!!! Wow!

I think later for the pizza party will work. 7ish is a good time. Will need to get with MIchelle and Cheryl and hammer out the details. Would hope that most would arrive by that time. Well, those arriving on Thursday that is.

And I don't want to go back and scan the last 7 pages.....but I totally agree with the tote bag. There is no way I would get a tote bag unless I can put my arm through it, and get it up on my shoulder. And then have it tucked in. Otherwise, it wouldn't really be functional.

I haven't done WCT or the Cove bar, so I am cool with either of those. And whatevers with Carnation. If we can make arrangements and eat there great! If not, I'm pretty easy and will go with the flow.

And from what I read, we want a late seating for Storytellers?

Mary Jo, Awww, how exciting!! 21 is a very important birthday so yes, you must be there. :goodvibes

Hey all, just subscribing to this new thread. I am home today so sick. I went to urgent care, as my throat felt like it was on fire and I was convinced I had strep, but apparently that's the bug that's going around.
I'm miserable. I'm not sure I felt this bad when I had pneumonia last time!

Hope you feel better.

Beth: please add me for the character breakfast and BB lunch.

LOL--I guess I better plan to be at the pizza party, so put me on that list too! I do think it's a good idea to know how many will be there. I also think we should order a salad to go with pizza and have a veggie pizza option.

Salad and all sorts of pizzas. :thumbsup2 That way we can all try ones we've not considered trying when we're home with our families. Not to mention those that only we like and the rest of our families don't like.

Salads and veggie options are always great ideas when doing pizza parties for large groups. Also having a variety to choose from.

Ugh! I am so sick of studying statistics.

I know exactly what you mean. I had to take 2 statistics classes and I hated those 2 the most of all my classes

Okay, regarding size of Tote. I would think that being multi tasking gals, it would be important that the strap be able to be placed onto the shoulder with just the one, carrying arm. Does that make sense? To test: hold straps in hand, bend arm, and insert elbow through straps, and hang straps on shoulder, put hand down. If you can't do this, then the straps are too short.

This is very important, escpecially at DL/DCA. Imagine having your corn dog, churro, tigger tail, drumstick etc. in one hand, and the need to get your tote bag onto your shoulder. I know I don't want to put any of those delicious morsels down, even for a second.

Completely agree the last thing I want to do is drop my Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Sandwich....:lmao:

Absolutely. I have met the nicest women through last year's trip. Thank you all for letting my 'vent' my frustrations about the last 6 months.....:)

We haven't had a chance to meet and talk about it, but what does everyone think about 7?

7 works for me.

I missed who I need to PM about attending the Pizza Party. I'll go back and look to see where it is. But just in case, I will be attending the Pizza Party.

No one, just post here. I'll catch it, or at least try to. ;) I'll add you now.

Hi Mary Jo!!

Have you ever done a scavenger hunt at DL?

Hey Mel, :)

I've played MouseAdventure with Lesley (Tink33), Chris (Califgirl), and my daughter Kelly (Daisuke) four times (or is it five? lol). It's like a detective scavenger hunt that's lots of fun.

Cheryl (Toocherie) has also played, but on a different team.

Maybe we can check with Callie, but I think last time there were three or four who made reservations at the same time so that everyone would be there at the same time. I think if whoever volunteers to call does so on the same day and for the same time we will probably not have a problem getting at least two if not three tables of 6. JMO, of course--no guarantees!

Yeah I was one of the ones that called. I think 3 of us called on the same day and we were able to get our PS for the same time.

OK, we'll give it the old Disney-magic try! LOL (Gee, that sounds lame! haha)

If not, do we want WCT as a back-up?

WCT as a back-up works for me....we could also do a meal in Downtown Disney for those that aren't going in the park on Saturday

OR better yet, we can still try for Carnation Cafe for dinner Friday AND do Wine Country Trattoria on Sunday!!! We don't have any meals planned for that day yet!

I'm alright with this idea too.... Can anyone else see that I'm indecisive???

I do know I'm going to have a brownie sundae again for lunch while I'm there. The ones that Kate and I had in DCA were quite tasty...
