Girls Only Trip (old thread, link to new thread in first post)

The nice thing is the Alaska Air credit that we got from our December trip.

Afternoon all. Well I went out and ran my loop and Lynn is already off work. Apparently they had a bunch of people scheduled so she didn't have to work as long today. And then she is not working at ALL tomorrow so BONUS for me! I don't have to go out at ALL tomorrow except to feed the cats and go to the store! Anyway it appears she is just working on Tuesday and then not again till Friday but now I talked it over with mom and we decided that since we are not sure what time Shane will be getting off on Wed that we didn't want to fight the crowds going up the hill and/or the weather so we are going to just spend Wed here at home and then go up first thing Thur morning. It is probably better then we don't have to haul all of Katy's gifts up there and all the food etc. The place my parents have up there doubles as the sales office/model home for the condos they are selling up there so we can't really get it messed up. So we can never really have much food up there. The most we ever have is breakfast and that is usually cereal or danish because we really can't cook. And we can spend the night but we have to be REALLY careful with the bedding the next day and they really don't like us showering either because of course the place always has to look spotless. It is kind of a pain in the butt to be honest but the kids LOVE to go play in the snow and it is SO beautiful up there.

When the weather is nice we go up and stay and then go play golf at this course that over looks tahoe. It is just gorgeous!

But anyway I also go sara motoprincess' card today! LOVE the tink!! Very cute!! While I was out I rented a few movies too. The girls and I watched Fred Clause. That was really cute. I also got a few for tonight when Shane gets home. House Bunny, Tropic Thunder and Eagle Eye. So I am excited to watch those!

House Bunny was cute. It's one of those mindless silly movies that are fun to watch now and then.
I hated Tropic Thunder. I do not understand why it was regarded as such a good movie.
Is Eagle Eye out already?? I want to see that one.

okay, I received my PM from Beth and went and reviewed the front page. I am signed up Saturday morning for a scavenger hunt and also for a character meal. Is it possible to do both of these?

Also, what time would the dinner at Carnation Cafe be? All of us VIP'ers will have priortiy seating for parades, fireworks, Fantasmic etc. If they are doing any of those things that is. But I would like to go to Carnation Cafe, plus we can have them make a PS for Carnation Cafe for the 10 of us on the tour, so that would cover a lot of us.

This is how we have it planned for those two days so far:

Friday, March 6
Princess Fantasy Faire group photos in the a.m. for those interested
VIP Tour
Blue Bayou lunch (approx. 11:30)
Carnation Cafe dinner (approx. 5:00)
DVC Tour around 7:30



Saturday, March 7
Chip-n-Dale character breakfast (early, perhaps 8:15?)
Scavenger Hunt @ 10:30
Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour @ 2:30 (Tour includes a meal. Those not doing the tour can meet up at a counter service for dinner. Either Riverbelle Terrace or Rancho del Zocalo.)


Stacie is going to make the character breakfast early enough so that there will be time to do the scavenger hunt afterwards. So yes, those planning on doing both should be ok.

As for Carnation Cafe we are planning to make that for around 5. Early enough so those doing that meal can still do the DVC tour afterwards.

It's going to be tight, but hopefully we can work it all in. No time for rides though. Gee, I hope no one was planning on doing any rides......

Well I watched Fred Clause and House Bunny so far and both were really cute. Dh is not home yet so I am thinking about starting eagle eye without him because I am getting tired of waiting. Tropic Thunder looked funny but I hope it is not one of those that LOOKS funny but is really stupid. I don't like Will Ferrell movies at all so I hope it is not one of THOSE kind. Some of those silly stupid humor movies I like but it just depends.

Oh well I guess I'll find out. Anyway I am trying to kill time till dh gets home but I guess I will have to start without him or I will never get them all watched in time.

Oh good, so it wasn't just me! LOL I have no problem with swearing (heck, I'm worse then any of those guys in the movie!) and no problem with dirty jokes (ahem) BUT the movie was just dumb. Or so I thought.

And thank you everyone for the Christmas cards. I love them. They're hanging on my wall right now, and Kelly just came home from San Diego, and said, "Niiiiiice" lol

I'm going to catch up on the posts to see how your Christmas's were.

Mine was nice. We've got two boys/young men living with us right now, so my son Nick, his girlfriend, Yasmin, her brother, José, who's one of the boys staying with us, and I spent Christmas morning together. It was really nice. They all got me thoughtful gifts, and they loved what I got them.

Nick doesn't know it yet, but I got him & Yasmin Deluxe APs, and on Jan 2nd, she's taking him to Disneyland (she has to figure out an excuse to get him there), and her gift to him is to upgrade the passes to premiums.
My son's girlfriend Disneyland!!! I'm so happy (lol).

I'm off of work for another week (year-end shut down so I might make it to the land during the week - just to check it out. I haven't really had much of a chance to enjoy.

...I'm off of work for another week (year-end shut down) so I might make it to the land during the week - just to check it out. I haven't really had much of a chance to enjoy....

It won't be as much fun as if we were all there...but try to enjoy yourself just the same.

Morning all. Well last night we watched Eagle Eye and I loved that one. I like those thriller type movies a lot and I am sure I will end up getting that one when we get a little money ahead. I want Ghost Town too! Shane and I saw that one in the theaters and we just loved it. Tropic thunder was ok. Pretty stupid but I actually fell asleep for part of it LOL. By the time we finally watched it, it was getting pretty late. I actually like stupid humor like airplane and those types of movies but it was pretty dumb. Shane loved it of course but he's a guy. I still have burn after reading. I forgot about that one last night. I am going to watch that one today. Hopefully that one isn't stupid as well.

I haven't been able to go to the movies in forever. Still never got to see twilight and now I want to see Benjamin Button and some others but alas I am sure I will end up waiting till they are on video. I rented so many cuz I usually only go to the video store once every few months and then rent like 5 or 6 movies at once LOL. That is how I get all caught up.

Anyway dh is at work and Lynn doesn't have to work so today is another veg day. I am back from running my errands so it will be nice just to relax for a change.

Mom is staying in truckee again tomorrow so I just have to run in to work while Lynn is at the ortho and pay bills real quick so tomorrow should be pretty kick back as well. Maybe I will see what is playing at the dollar movies at the mall and take the girls. I think I can afford that.

Hey Everyone.. I just booked mine and my mother's plane tickets for the trip.
We leave el paso and transfer through phoenix arriving at john wayne airport at 11:25 on the 5th.
On the flight home..i decided to stay til wed. to treat my mom to few more days at the park cuz i love her..and disney so much!
Thank goodness i had a free ticket and 1/2 of another free ticket.. flights are high. So thanks Southwest airlines for the great rapid reward program.
And then after this trip i'll have another free ticket ..guess we will have to plan another trip..we are really enjoying our annual passes..it's the first time our family has had them. Thanks DisneyLand for the great annual passes.

MaryJo..Your christmas sounds like ours..we always have some of our son's friends staying over.. .. i hope the new year holds only good things for you and your family!

ref: The Tote Exchange....
I know at one time i read that some people were going to fill theirs with things..... could someone clarify that?
I don't want to give an empty tote..and then get one with little things in it..
Also.... are we going to do a pin exchange? I think I saw that mentioned .
I want to try to begin to get everything like that in order..
Has anyone bought their white T's yet? Where did You get them? What style are they? How did the iron on go? Have I used up my 20 questions yet?
Just an Update on the Scavenger Hunt.. It's going great..we have 3 sets of prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams, so each of those 9 people placing will get something fun to take home.
2 months til we go!!!... How much fun...
