Well I am back from my errands. LOVE the pic of your grandson fairykin and Moto that is a cool pic. The sun is out today and it is warming up a bit. Still chilly but nice and sunny. I better appreciate it cuz we are due for more yucky rain the rest of the week! BLEH.

I ran to walmart and got the ornaments for my exchange tomorrow night and ran into my friend so it was so nice to chat with her. Her daughter was in kindergarten with Katy and they were best buddies and then they were on the same soccer team a few years later. Our school closed the year after they were in kindergarten and of all the kids they were one of the few that didn't move to the same school and I was SO bummed cuz they were one of the few people we REALLY like and did stuff with. But we still hang with them and we go to eachother's kids birthdays and stuff. It was nice to catch up with her.

Anyway got all that shopping done and got ANOTHER card today.

All I can say is thank goodness for my dis friends or else I wouldn't have any christmas cards!

eatmypixiedust, I forgot to comment on the mega-cute monorail set you have around your tree. Someone on this thread has a train around their tree that made me wonder if E has enough Thomas and Brio track to do that, but then I saw the monorail track and I forgot all about my plans to check.

It's me, I have the train, or rather my son does, as he bought it with his bday/christmas money. But...we also have the monorail, which I just love and I have tried to set them both up around the train but it does not work!

You are so busy all the time! I can't even imagine. And Girl Scouts, augh. Here's what I learned in GS. How to braid and french braid hair (someone else's and my own), which I will admit is a VERY useful skill, though it was taught to me by another girl, not by our leaders. And "snack". Okay girLie GirLs.. i'm going to plan to ward off the "christmas evening letdown"...

So... i'm looking for some of your favorite movie recommendations. I'm going to plan a movie night with who ever wants to come over and have different movies at different times with movie snacks ..like big boxes of juju beans, red vines and all that kinda stuff.. { they have all those candies at the dollar store in the big boxes just like at the movies} Then i'll make some chili con queso in the crockpot so if people want nachos they can make their own..and set out some inidividual microwave bags of popcorn. Sounds like fun to me.

So two movies for sure i'm putting on the list..

HEY, just a bit of info about Pirates/BB. I have reservations for Pirates on Feb. 14. No mention was made of it being down. I have heard that it is indeed going down on the 15th and will be down for a while. It seems to me like there is nothing but uncertainty about the entire refurb schedule, so I am just hoping for the best. But not counting on anything yet!

My mom talked to my grandma this morning, who lives in Lancaster, and she said it was snowing so much she couldn't see the grass. I hope it continues, we never get snow!

Girls, since no one in my family wants this I thought I'd ask you lovely ladies.

I have a porcelain boy doll that my mom bought for my old room (it was shabby chic victorian style) and it is in very good condition. The only thing is that the sole of one of his shoes is hanging by a thread but other than that it's top notch. I had a bunch of porcelain girl dolls but I'm giving those to my little cousins for Christmas so this is the only one I have left. He also comes with a hat and a teddy bear that attaches to his waist via velcro.

The second thing i need help with..is.... how do You upload pictures for trip reports? I want to make mine today but i don't know where or how to upload photos. Por Favor, mi amigas, h e L p!

I use photobucket for the big pretty pictures, and shutterfly for the normal pictures.

When Jessica Lange crawls in the bath tub with Albert Finney and they both have all their clothes on.. it just melts your heart.. you realize.. how is she ever going to live without him It's just *so* well done. The characters and how it all comes full circle. I laugh and cry throughout the movie and i'm not one who cries at movies.

Oh dear. I could never abide Jessica Lange until Rob Roy, and now I can't watch her because I nearly went into hysterics because of her when I saw Rob Roy *in the theater*, so I'm not sure I could handle more sadness from her. It took a good 15 minutes for me to stop crying at the end of the movie (I had stopped, then started again during the credits and couldn't stop), my friends were so embarrassed.

Hi everyone.

I'm back and all the kids are home now. The twins had fun picking out their little gifts, and now I just need to take Adam and Noelle to do the same. Maybe this weekend.
We went to the grocery store too. Again. Am I the only one who can't seem to keep food in the house?!?!? They go through it all too fast. And I cannot seem to walk out of the dang store for less then $100 each time I go!

I actually live in Pearblossom and we have a ton of snow. I got stuck on my road so my car is in the middle of the street. I live down a dirt road.

We are going to be getting a HUGE winter storm. It was soooo cold today. 14 degrees, it seemed colder due to the wind. I agree with Beth...this weather makes me want to crawl under a blanket.

Wow we are short timing it on our trip! That is good though. I am almost getting to Disney withdrawals LOL. I mean shucks it's been a whole few weeks since I've been to a park you know! Of course that means I have to start thinking about buying my shirts and getting my tote bag in order and eek I have to still buy my plane ticket!

The good news is for the flight down southwest dropped the price even further and I can NOW get a 49 flight TO LA but coming home it is 112 which sucks. I wish they would have made cheaper flights into OC since the gas prices went down but NOOOOO! It would have been so much easier just to fly into there but after ALL the christmas and Katy's birthday I just can't afford another 250+ ticket OUCH!

Not when I can get it for under 150 going to LAX!

Man I can't WAIT for my tax refund! That is what is funding my next two trips!!! Going to pay off all my credit card debt from Christmas, our DW trip AND pay for the girls trip and our april trip! Never thought I'd be anxious to get my W2's so I could file my taxes lol!

Anyway tonight is the girls last church group for two weeks so I get a break from that at least for a couple weeks after tonight and dh and I are just going to sit home and watch the ole tv.

A plane ticket from Boise to LAX is about 250 RT. I am praying that I get a decent tax return because that is the only way I can go. It should be pretty nice...we pay a lot in taxes and we get paid squat, no to mention we are both in college.

This cold rainy weather makes me want to snuggle up with a blanket and go to sleep but I can't because I still have chores to do! UGH!

I have to finish up the laundry and I just might start baking while I watch the Cosby show DVDs we got from Netflix. Brownies sound good... but don't worry, I won't eat them all.

Wanted to say thank you to Cristabel for the Blue Eyed Boy Doll and the little bear. I will give him a good home, and if I decide to rehome him, Molly and Eamon are just down the road a few hours.


My good news of the day. I was booking a limo for my family trip in Feb. and needed my flight number, so went to Alaska.com to get that. All my reservations were marked with a big red message to call. So I did. The schedule had all changed and because of that I had the option to change my flights if I wanted to. So... I took advantage and now instead of flying in and out of LGB I am flying in and out of Orange County, and furthermore, I am arriving earlier and departing later. The best part is now I can either do a ride share, or catch a shuttle, so I will save at least $50, and I can think of a million other ways to spend that at DL!

So, I'm wondering if you all have been sticking pixie dust in those wonderful Xmas cards??


PS The Limo that we are using was referred to me on the boards, and is just a fabulous value and well vouched for although I haven't used them yet, but the booking went really well..
