You're right...it is so hard to make kinds understand the importance of washing their hands. Keep me posted if you hear of anyone from the swim team coming down with it. Ayden's T-ball coach said they had a call in to the County Health Dept to see if they should cancel practice for the remainder of the week or not. I have a feeling they might since there are many kids in the league from that school.

Hope you guys have a fun at dinner...have some Red Lobster Cheesy bread for me!!!! yummmmmmy

Thanks...on a good note I haven't been in as much pain today. Still hurts but I'll take this over how it's been the last week any day! I'm still a little worried about Ayden. I'm trying not to panic ....but ya can't help to with what's going on. He's up and I've let him play a video game today longer than he normally would. He did take a nap and ate all of his lunch. But you can tell in his eyes he still just doesn't feel good. And get this...my five year old just called me a "one hit wonder"...where on earth did that come from LOL

My favorite is Stitch scaring Cheryl! I might be a moron but what's a churro? I'm sure I'll find out soon enough. I wish I was going to Vegas! I'll be in Vegas on June 30th and July 1st with my big Bro as he helps me move westward! We're spending 2 nights there because we don't want to move in my stuff after a night of tasty adult beverages That would be so awful.

Darn. We will probably miss each other. My DD doesn't get out of school till 3, unless she has softball practice, then its 5. So we won't get there till after that time. Probably get there in time for dinner, some rides, and we are planning on hearing the Rumble King perform. Saw them a few weeks ago and James and I loved them.

Janelle...I don't think you're overreacting to keeping Ayden home....I'd do the same!!! Why chance it?
Not that I think an antibiotic would keep him from getting the swine flu....it may boost up his immune system just in case he does get exposed....... so if he has strep....that might work out????? Just thinking out loud (or typing out loud....lol)

I just got back from MA about an hour ago. I left DL around 7:30. My drive down to San DIego was a bit bleary.

We all had fun, fun, fun, fun!! I think we pretty much stunk, but it didn't matter, because we were having so much fun!! We didn't finish, but worked hard!! Thank goodness it wasn't all that hot!!!

My team was Linda, Brianne and Stacie. We were really well suited and matched, very harmonious. I spoke to a veteran who told me that you need to have a "math whiz, trivia whize, and a puzzle fanatic on your team to be competitive", I asked, what happens if you have NONE of those and he just smiled gently and patted my shoulder. I knew we were sunk.

Everyone I dealt with at all related to the event was pleasant and upbeat. Really the whole thing was all good.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank CHeryl publicly for opening her home to all of us. Food/drink galore. Stacie and I slept on dueling couches in her living room..I am not sure where others were. SO THANK YOU CHERYL!!!

Oh, and sorry we were a bit unfriendly when you ever so cheerily awakened us this AM. We had four more minutes!! (Stacie's phone played the theme from mission impossible as a wake up. What a hoot).

I am sure others will chime in, but the day was really the bomb!!!

When can I do it again?

I am tired though!!!

Miss Cheryl is the hostess-with-the-mostest. She welcomed us to her lovely home like we were family. And provided more food/booze and friendship than one could ask for. Thank you so much. The MA was so much fun, of course with Stacerita, Amy, and my DD, how could I not have a blast? And Lil Churro was always around, too. But, I have to say...I...AM...SOOOOO...TIRED....After staying up till 2:30 am at the slumber party and getting up at 8 the next morning, I just never caught up on rest and I was so wiped out today, I barely made it through work. Breezy took a pic of our team, I promise I will get her to send it to me to post. Although the Lost Girlz had a way cooler "on-samb" than Tink's Treasurehunters (us). Off to make dinner, will post more later.

Oh, and Amy, he was a she, wasn't she, or was that a joke?

That's kinda what I'm thinking too. We both have some weak immune systems right now so nothing wrong with being extra careful. I unfortunately "MUST" go to work tomorrow so he'll be staying home with his dad tomorrow.
My job has such a strict attendance policy and I've missed so much lately as it is. At least that ended up being a true leave, it still doesn't look good.

Just walk around with a spray can of lysol..... spray it when anyone gets too close & the desk, counters, etc after they touch it!!!! Then you keep the waterless germ killer on you at all times!........ okay, that would be over the top....but I sure would be tempted to do it!!

LOL doesn't sound like a bad idea. The week before I got realllly sick I came in after being out for a day and my keyboard was gone. The girl that sits right behind me had used it when I was out. She had been sooooooooo soooo sooooo sick!!! Hacking up a lung etc etc. Anyway........I'm thinking seriously!!!! WHY MY KEYBOARD!!!!!! I cleaned that thing like crazy. I'm not saying that's where I got sick...but really that was one DUMB move! That whole week too I was saying gosh I hope I don't get sick...I really can't afford to get sick and sure enough.....it hit me a week later. I was steaming mad!!! I HATE that our job has such a crappy attendance policy that we can't take off when we're really sick.

Hi Guys! I tried to catch up this morning and find out how you guys all did in MA. I ran out of time, and never found the post or the info on Little Churro. Did he win something?

So how did everyone one do?

I can't belive that I saw all of you yesterday. I know it was a quick hello but it sure was fun to see you.

After I left you guys on Saturday, a mother saw my "cool crown" and wanted to know where I got it from. I started to explain, and thought how foolish it sounded. Then just gave it to her little girl. It was too cute.

Didn't we have great weather? Saturday afternoon, went back to Hojos and watched my Grandsons play in the water play area. It was so nice to sit and relax somewhat.

I would love some links to pictures and posts on everything. I just don't have the time to look back. Thanks in advance if you have time to do it.

The pix were just posted, on this page or the page before. You don't have to go back far. They didn't allow us to bring a camera so we only have a few pix. I loved your drive by hug! The questions were really hard, they required a lot more steps and thinking than we were expecting. It was a beautiful day and we rode Big Thunder, IASW, and the train. Did I forget one? Of course Breezy befriended several people, the three of us were chit chatting and laughing away and she is spending time with middle aged women visiting from the UK. Gotta love my girl! She even saw them later in the park and they were waving at each other. Early dinner at Tortilla Jo's was good, too. We were so tired and thirsty and hungry. The drinks and food really hit the spot.

And Churro was boozing it up all weekend. I think Dawn will have more pix of him with empty wine and champagne bottles and cocktails than all of us girls! He is just soooo cute. Dawn made us goodie bags, too. She is so thoughful and creative, I love all the stuff she gave me. And Breezy made sure I didn't steal the sucker Dawn gave her either, she said "make sure you don't put that in YOUR bag, mom".

Hi Linda!

I couldn't believe my luck when I saw you guys! I also saw the Churro gang earlier there too. It must have been a check in point or somethin!

So how did you all do?

I did start backing up on posts and saw a few pictures. The Lilo and Stich breakfast looked like fun, and the pics are great. Little Churro is great!! Bigger than what I thought he would be. I probably was thinking he would be about the size of a real churro!

Later on in the day, just as I was leaving the park, I was going through the middle of Town Square, and in the corner of my eye I noticed lime green boas! Sure enough there was MaryJo and her gang. So I got to give hugs to them too.
