Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

Who needs a ladies trip? Come hang out with us between May 25-29 and ride Grizzly with us. See how much fun it is!

Splash...well...I'm still not sure I love that ride. So if Eamon wants to go we'll go, but if not I won't cry about it.

Whoo-hoo! I think we need a May 26th meet. Is that Eamon's birthday too? I can't remember.

I also have food goals--I didn't go to Ariel's so would like to do that sometime =-along with Cove Bar.

Where are you staying that trip?

Hold it up :confused3 I have a friend who swears by that. She slammed it in a door, and when she slept, she tied her hand to her head board to keep it from throbbing.

Ooh if only I'd had a head board when my normal finger became my BAD finger! Alas, I had a no-headboard waterbed then...

Holding it up is a good idea. Alas, that means I have to get offline (and we cleaned the house like crazy yesterday, and today hubby and son are playing some Kung Fu Panda game on his computer, so what else is there to do???).

I would ice it. I was a bad finger. Its my left ring finger. The tip was cut off in a church door when I was 3. When something ever happens to that hand, I swear my finger hurst like a bee!! I normally take Advil or something.

I hope your finger starts feeling better.

When you were 3, you poor thing!:hug: Mine is my *right* ring finger. Tip is gone, nail is weird, I used to be able to predict weather changes with it! Do you know how WEIRD it is to be a young teen and be able to know when it's going to rain????

If it stays at the same level of hurt I probably will medicate. I just get "high" from even 200 mg of ibuprofen...(and can't take acetominophen and don't like aspirin and definitely can't take naproxen).

Just make sure you have a poncho, and I'm sure Molly will ride GRR with you! Won'tcha Molly? ;)

NO!

Um, well, OK, yes.

Only if its nice out do I go on these rides. Don't talk to Molly about them though.....she has Splash water fears.

:goodvibes

Only when it finely coats my face. Duck poop diseases! Ack!

All I can say is.... these boards were a heck of a lot happier to read yesterday. I understand that things need to work itself out, and I'm not commenting on any of the current commotion other than this little excerpt here. I haven't been here but only a few days and everyone has been so nice to me. I just hope everything gets resolved soon so I can laugh without worries again :lmao:

So young yet so wise.

You still needing a roomie for the next trip? Or since you will be local just driving in each morning?

I know I'll be local but it won't have that camp feel if I stay at my dorm, silly. So yeah, count me in.

Is this for the trip next year or the mini-meet in May?

If it's for our next trip, count me in!

Sadly I won't have an AP again until I save up my ChaCha money. That won't be until August or September

For the 2010 trip. Not the mini meets.

So I got Debbie, Steph and Cristabel. We can do one more in the room? Or if we get a suite, 2 more. Heck, if we go regular rooms (the bigger ones) I bet we could do 10. Anyone up for the challenge?

It's OK Bridgette. You're right, things do need to work themselves out because if not there is going to be an implosion.

The cheaper the better!:thumbsup2

I am going to be there on 5/26 for my Birthday!!!

Did we discuss that you and Eamon have the same birthday????

Whoo-hoo! I think we need a May 26th meet. Is that Eamon's birthday too? I can't remember.

Where are you staying that trip?

You got it right, Cheryl!

We are staying, and this is too funny given my previously expressed feelings, on incentive/developer's points, at the DLH, in, um, a concierge room. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: But hey, we couldn't spend 6 or whatever days away, the points do expire, and so we decided to splurge on a shorter&fancier stay rather than have the points disappear or force ourselves into a longer stay.

Now we kinda wish that we'd gone with the longer, non-concierge stay, b/c we were conserving Vacation Time days for a WDW trip in October, but now that trip is on the back burner anyway...but oh well. It'll be nice to have a perspective of DLH concierge when you're a vegetarian family that can't have corn syrup products. :upsidedow

I'm down for a 5/26 meet. DBF and I will be in the parks that day.

Sorry.....lets get back to the trip planning.

You gonna be needing a roomie? Some of us pack into rooms like sardines. Just saying.

I know I'll be local but it won't have that camp feel if I stay at my dorm, silly. So yeah, count me in.

So you will stay at the Hojo dorm instead :rotfl2:

Anyone else exhausted? I haven't moved from my desk since 9 a.m. but I feel as though I've run a race. Just drained.
So to take a cue from Capri, I am ready for a Disneyland pick me up! I think we could all use one correct?

What if we all posted our must do's for next year? I know we are still many months out, but that's what planning is for, right?? Then when we start forming the schedule for the front page, we can make sure it has some options for everyone. (keeping in mind everyone is free to pick and choose which they want to do)

I see Cheryl want's Ariel's and Cove bar. Good choices, and I agree. What else ladies??

MUST DO's
Ariel's Princess meal
Cove bar for drinks
Segway tour

I would love to do Ariel's again - so I would be good with organizing that as a lunch this trip. I also missed the Cove Bar, so that's a must do as well!

I'm thinking I'll be in the group staying at the Grand Californian or Disneyland Hotel. I really want to take advantage of the Magic Mornings and if we have enough people there, we can each get up to 5 others in to the MM :thumbsup2 I'm staying at the Hojo in August and October, so I think it will be time for a splurge - plus it will be my birthday - woo hoo :woohoo: - not saying how old :scared:, but I may need the closeness of the lounge to help with the aging pains!!!

It will be. Don't worry Boo. (totally saying that in Sully's voice)

How exciting!!!!! I think I congratulated you when you put your screenshot up, but again, congrats. That post brought me back to the extreme excitement when I got my surprisingly thin envelope from my one college I applied to, and opened it to find my Congratulations letter. So so exciting! If you journal, be sure to journal these times! Someday I'll need to read my journals of those times, b/c it's hard to remember (too much vodka in college :rolleyes1), but I know I had some major pre-college angst and it'll be embarrassing to read... So (skip the angst (if you even have any, you seem to be much more mature than I was pre-college) but) journal the feelings, so you can remember!

I for sure need a pick me up. I am pooped and haven't even been to the office yet. UGH!

I will totally do Cove Bar again. That was so much fun.
I will skip Ariel's and Segway this time though.
I think Minnie's would be nice for breakfast. Make it a late sitting so we can do park time first, grab fast passes and such, then eat.

OMG, Cove bar was so fun!! Even if I didn't finish my drink. :rolleyes1
So seriously, can I put you down for booking Ariel's again?

Oh, and you people with your 10 to a bed scare me. :rolleyes1 ;) :rotfl:

Well, I'll probably be there with you. I've thought of booking a DVC room/villa but it's an awful lot of points for the whole time. Grizbuzz and I also talked about getting a Grand Villa for one night but its 134 points for that Thursday night!:scared1:

:thumbsup2 I agree with everything Stacie said! Except for being out of the office.
