Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

Donny Osmond!!

I always wanted to marry Jake Ryan from Sixteen Candles (my all time fave movie), Kirk Cameron, WHOA...Joey Lawerance. :lovestruc

They were all dreamy. But my fave was Jake Ryan.....he was soo cool!!

Joey Lawrenance was on some "lifetime" or "oxygen" movie last night. It was bad. Wasted my time for sure.

Jake Ryan is mine, hands off woman!

Get in line sister.

So, who is planning on staying at the Hojo's in Feb/March?

And who is looking/needing roomies?

Ok...I am so glad it has been a slow morning work wise because you all were very busy yesterday! I finally think I've made it through all of the posts! We spent the day at the beach yesterday. I cannot get enough of the beach and jump at the chance to go! DBF worked on Sat. and I thought about taking the kids but he said if I would wait he would come with us yesterday...even better! We had a great day and we didn't realize how hot it really was. His 14 yo DD did not want to come she doesn't like the beach...I just can't believe that but then she also likes snow...:rotfl: I think she is a Diva in training for sure! My 20 yo DD was always a tomboy so I have never had a girlie girl to have fun with so it is fun to have the fun active tomboy girl and the fun likes manicures and dresses girlie girl now too!
She doesn't like the beach?? Crazy girl!!
Warning this is long because I had so much to catch up on!!:hippie:

Today is the 10th Anniversary of the Columbine High School shootings and I hope everyone will keep their families and every family that has ever been touched by sensless crimes in their prayers. I lived about 5 miles from Columbine during that time and a parent of one of the students who died worked at the real estate office that I worked as the office manager. It was a horrible, horrible day.:sad2:

Where I live, we had the one of the first school shootings, it has 13 years. My childrens uncle was in the classroom. Now my son attends that school.
My youngest DS, his teacher, her son was one of the victims.

It is such a horrible tragedy, that kids resort to that sort of behavior.

Get in line sister.

Did you see Willie Guest (Eight is Enough--right?) was the host of the Miss USA pageant last night? Geez--is he the new Bert Parks?

:hug:Where is that? I am hoping your children's uncle was not a victim? :goodvibes It is so scary to think you can't send your children to school and hope they are safe...even when they are in college.

Thanks.

And gosh, if the people here can accept ME, with all the opinions I hold (and state) that aren't in compliance with the American norm, with only one person during the trip making a comment about the fact that I am, surprisingly (not her exact words), a nice person LOL, then this group really does go above and beyond to accept people. :goodvibes

:rotfl2:

You know, when you first started posting I thought you were quite different. But I always loved how you stood your ground and your stance never changed. That's admirable. Meeting you in person on the last trip was a great treat. You are such a sweetie.

Thanks.

:lmao: Molly! You are cracking me up. I love to hear your perspective on things. It makes me think about mine, and why I feel the way I do. Believe it or not, I actually embrance diversity! You had some wonderful, wise, and kind words also.

It's amazing how tactful and articulate we all are. I'm seeing sides of my friends today that I never knew exsisted.

So...anyone know how to make a finger feel better?

I have a "bad" finger from when I was 10 and had an awful door incident. And the other week, I slammed it into the corner of an open cabinet door. As of yesterday, the damage under the (already "bad") nail can be seen, and it's hurting so bad. :( I guess I could take an ibuprofen, but I don't really want to do that...maybe I should ice it...but the bone is *right there* b/c of the door incident and cold on that finger hurts more than on the other fingers...

All I know is that it hurts. :(

Was it the Fake Fiance movie? I heard it wasn't so good.

Get in line sister.

Standing in line for Jake Ryan..........

So, who is planning on staying at the Hojo's in Feb/March?

And who is looking/needing roomies?

I will stay anywhere & I need roomies....
Willing to share a bed.

Thanks.

:lmao:

It's nice to have someone who steps out of the box.

I didn't spend a lot of time with you, but I did think you were a very nice person.

Ok, so my goals for the next ladies trip are:

Grizzly River Rapids (but not if it's cold)
Splash Mountain (ditto)

I need enablers to help me get over my fear of these rides!

Well, a key part of that is hiding my head in the ground after stating something strongly. :rotfl:

Robert calls my posts on the Community Board "dive bombs", b/c I'm generally long gone from the thread before anyone starts to reply.

And thank you.

Ever since college people have been confuzzled by me. I don't know what happened, but I know that until HS graduation people thought I was shy, but cheery and chipper and smiley, then from freshman year on, people would think I was mad when I was not. Chiropractic school was very hard b/c of that, especially b/c I couldn't understand some things easily and had to ask multiple questions, and even the teachers sometimes thought I was mad at them. :( Then my post-engagement between-the-eye wrinkle hasn't helped anything at all! :rotfl:

I'm even "out there" on mothering.com's message boards, and trust me, they KNOW "out there". :upsidedow

Hold it up :confused3 I have a friend who swears by that. She slammed it in a door, and when she slept, she tied her hand to her head board to keep it from throbbing.

You don't seem to be worried about the tag fairy. lol

It was the Fake Fiance movie. Gag. Waste of time and predictable.

Boy, did I fall from grace. On our last thread I was the first poster, but on this one I think I'm the last! :sad2: ;)

Looks like LOTS of interesting stuff going on here.

I want to welcome our new members! :cheer2:

Sorry I've been MIA lately......lots and lots and lots of homework. I've been a little, well, A LOT bogged down. I need a Disneyland trip pick-me-up.

:hug:Where is that? I am hoping your children's uncle was not a victim? :goodvibes It is so scary to think you can't send your children to school and hope they are safe...even when they are in college.

Moses Lake, WA. No, he wasn't a victim. But its the first time I had seen a school shooting on the news. But then again I was only almost 18 and never really watched TV.

I would ice it. I was a bad finger. Its my left ring finger. The tip was cut off in a church door when I was 3. When something ever happens to that hand, I swear my finger hurst like a bee!! I normally take Advil or something.

I hope your finger starts feeling better.

Just don't hang out with Stacielee! She'll talk you right out of them -- she has "hair" issues. :rolleyes1:rotfl2:. Just make sure you have a poncho, and I'm sure Molly will ride GRR with you! Won'tcha Molly? ;)

Only if its nice out do I go on these rides. Don't talk to Molly about them though.....she has Splash water fears.

Who needs a ladies trip? Come hang out with us between May 25-29 and ride Grizzly with us. See how much fun it is!

Splash...well...I'm still not sure I love that ride. So if Eamon wants to go we'll go, but if not I won't cry about it.

I am going to be there on 5/26 for my Birthday!!!

So Deb and I are both needing roomies, and neither of us mind sharing a bed. Cool deal.

I know Steph will join us as well, and she doesn't mind sharing.

I think we could do connecting rooms with the right number of people, or a suite as well. Got to get a count and decide so we can book early and get a good choice.

Is this for the trip next year or the mini-meet in May?

If it's for our next trip, count me in!

Sadly I won't have an AP again until I save up my ChaCha money. That won't be until August or September
