Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian Divas and their families!

Yay for a fabulous trip :woohoo: Were the crowds really terrible  That's what I'm a bit worried about.... they definitely were huge last year. If yes, then that's probably our last Halloween trip for a while! We'll try a less busy time of year instead.

Welcome back!!

I went on October 7th (wednesday) and it was very busy. We were lucky to get a FP for space mountain at 3pm. We rode Pirates, HM, Buzz, Space mountain and Big Thunder during the 4 hours of ride time we had during our visit.

Tonight we are going to mom's to watch football and she is going to cut the girls hair so they look halfway decent for the trip! I will be anxious when the 10 day weather comes out for anaheim so I can start packing. I am at a loss as to what to pack. Not sure if it is going to be warm or cold!

Getting REALLY excited. Can't wait to see everyone and just to go!! :)

Have a GREAT day all and ttyl!

I know what you mean, the forecast says it's going to get in the high 70's and sunny on the 21st. Last year I went October 22nd and it was HOT! Even during the trick or treat party it was really warm and muggy so I was sweating buckets! I bought so much water and vitamin water that day.

aahhh Cristabel:hug:... i know You loved your little bear.. i am so sorry for your loss. Remember it is so hard because you love her. Love does not die, it transends. We are not promised forever with those that we love, we are just so blessed to have that moment. Whether the moment lasts 1 year or 50, and what a good job you did of loving osita!

Beth and Heather.. i'm sorry that You both are going through a sadness. Remember that it's alright to know sadness, yet search within for why it is upon you. And always be aware that You have power over it. One moment may hold sorrow or aloneness.. and yet You can take a deep breath or three and move into the next with clarity and open direction.

It's so easy on this board to get caught up in the fun, the dreams, the planning for trips and gosh! doesn't it always seem like there is another trip planned that would be fun to go on.

I know, cuz i've been caught up in it allllllll this year. It sure has been fun. But in the end.. i look back on this year and think... did i grow in my spirit? Did i help others? Did i move beyond my security to strip away the artifices of mass commericalism and superficiality?

Nahhhhhhhhhh.. not so much this year.:sad2: I was pretty self absorbed and had fun playing in fantasyland.:rotfl:

It doesn't mean I won't go to Disneyland next year.. it just means that i'll be more mindful of posessing a heart of gratitude. I'm so blessed, I'm not sitting at a hospital bed praying for a sick child. I'm not missing a parent who has died. I'm not homeless. I'm not sending a child to bed hungry at night.

I'm blessed.

We all are.

Once i after i had my 2nd child i was so sad because i just couldn't lose the weight and i was always thin. I cried to my Father and told him.. Daddy i feel so guilty that here i am depressed and crying because i have too much food when children in other countries are dying because they have no food.
He told me.... dawn.. you can't feel guilty for what you are feeling.
The fact that you feel it, validates it.

Acknowledge it, Process it and Decide if it's an emotion worthy of owning.

Because... really isn't that what self knowledge is about.... Owning our lives and the choices we make?:confused3

So... sometimes i own profound things.. and other times i own MoNkeY girL thoughts.:rotfl: But always i try to move towards the good, even if it is at a slow pace.

Beth and Heather.. maybe you are just moving slow now. But know that you are moving.
And more importantly, only You can know what self truth it is you are moving to.

Wow.. big thoughts for 4:14 in the morning.:rotfl:

Thank you Dawn--I also have been feeling pretty down lately and I haven't been able to shake it and your post has given me food for thought.

I, too, have so many blessings in my life but sometimes it all just feels so overwhelming. It takes so much energy to keep up with the rat race of the daily grind, and this morning I had to just walk away as my sweet baby Ty had a complete meltdown about the fact that I was leaving him at daycare. He has just recently hit a wave of separation anxiety that has never existed for him before and it completely breaks my heart and hurts my soul to see him so sad and angry. And yet, as I am the primary breadwinner in our family, our way of life would have to change dramatically for me to stay home. AND, I know that I just wouldn't be happy doing so and would probably end up resenting Ty in the long run. But, that doesn't make it any easier in the moment as a 27 pound ball of pure energy is crying his eyes out because you have to go to work.

Hang in there my friends  and I'll see most of you within the next 10 days.:cheer2:

Good day all you beautiful Divas!

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends up in Cananada (that's my new way of saying Canada).

Tracey, welcome back! I was following your facebook photo updates, looks like you all had a blast!

Cristabel, I hope all is well with you.

Melody, welcome back from fabulous Las Vegas. Sounds like you had a great time! And yay, I get to see you in a couple of weeks!

Hello ladies!! And happy Monday.

:rolleyes1

Ooooh, do those words really go together?? Happy and Monday?? Well, for now they do. ;)

Wendy, I'm sorry to hear you were upset. Chin up girl!! You're going to your happy place very soon!! :wizard:

Kelly, glad to hear your trip to Apple Hill was a good one. I loved the pics. :)

Melody, (sigh) darn it. I'm apologize once again for not being able to meet up with you. I am glad to hear you had fun though. And as for cheap eats in Vegas, my favorites are In-n-Out, Pink's, and the best is Earl of Sandwich. All good and all cheap!

Tracey, welcome back. Glad to hear you had fun despite the crowds. :thumbsup2

Jane, I'm so sorry to hear you've been feeling down. Hang in there momma. It gets easier. Well, ok, maybe not easier, but you know what I mean. lol We can vent over lunch sometime!!

Dawn, I'm sorry you haven't been sleeping well. Just think of it as practice for Disney. You'll be first at the gate waiting for rope drop. :rolleyes1 (ok, so that was lame, but just trying to look at the positive, lol, get some rest if you can!)

Theresa and Angie, Happy Thanksgiving to you!!!! :goodvibes

Well, I hope you all have a good day. TTYL! :hippie:

Afternoon Divas!

Tracy I am glad you had fun on your trip!! That stinks about the crowds and I am not looking forward to it BUT I am used to it and luckily we know how to tour that way AND since we are staying at DLH we get 2 MM's so plan to take advantage of that!! Loved your pics and looks like despite the crowds you still had fun! ;)

Wendy girl we have our trip coming up in less than 2 weeks!! Woo hoo! That can make anything bad good right!!! ;) I can't wait to see you all and hey I saw on another thread your monkey bride! Can't wait to look for her in person!!! Oh and Shelby is a HUGE monkey lover too so I told her to talk to the official monkey gal when we go! I told her you guys would have LOTS in common! ;)

Steph I LOVE that pic! I would love to have a print of that. That is SO cute! And with that Happy Thanksgiving to our Candadian friends! (see Wendy now you have me doing it LOL)

Beth I LOVED your pics from the Bellagio and your baking pics well DROOL! Looks like you have been having some fun times! :)

Cristabel since you are one of our local gals you will have to clue us in on what to pack!! I have been anxiously awaiting the weather report but you would know even better! I am hoping it is warm but not HOT and maybe even a little on the cool side but not cold if that makes sense. You know just right! ;)

Can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks!!!

That's the funny thing about being local. The weather in Fullerton can vary greatly from the weather in Anaheim. I will post the weather at school every day on our October thread and the Anaheim weather forecast for our trip dates. Right now it's cold, gloomy and looks like it could rain. I WOULD TOTALLY LOVE IT!

Eating lunch in the "cafeteria" for the first time. Wow it's loud! LOL.
Green Burrito is yummy!

I understand what you want; you want perfect weather :lmao:
If I had to choose between hot and cold, I'd pick cold in a heartbeat. You can put on many layers, wear scarves, hats and gloves but when it's hot, there is only so much clothes you can take off at DL :lmao:

there is only so much clothes you can take off at DL :lmao:

Unfortunately there are people that REALLY push that one. :scared1:

Kelly, I'm so excited for the trip! I'm glad there will be another monkey lover on the trip.

Beth, I hope you're having a wonderful day! :wizard:

LOL Cristabel! Yeah If we took off too much some of us would scare people away! Yours truly is one of them! EEK!!!

I agree I would MUCH rather wear my nice cozy clothes! Plus it just seems more fall like and halloweeny! I just said weenie! Tee Hee!!

And yes Wendy Shelby is a HUGE monkey lover. She LOVES curious George and has probably 10 or more stuffed monkeys! When she was little she had this one she got at Rainforest and carried that thing till it was ragged and then it got lost when mom was watching them while Shane and I were on vacation once. That was a HUGE tragedy too let me tell you! Living without "george" was BAD news!! But we got a NEW George and although it was never quite the same she LOVES her monkies. She has several shirts and loves Bobby Jack stuff! She told me to tell you she LOVES your dancing monkey avatar! :)

Just wanted to say I once again did not see the Monkey Bride. I looked and looked, and no sign of her. Makes me think she may not actually be there. Just saying.

I was honored today at work with a service award. Yeah for me. But still not sure whats around the corner you know.

I really really want our trip to get here.

Thanks Kelly, Can't wait to meet you!

Seriously, today was a disaster. Beyond the whole Ty separation anxiety thing this morning my best friend at work told me today that she took another job and is leaving, someone stole my lunch (Olive Garden half eaten leftovers--seriously whomever took them must have been pretty hard up to risk the germ factor), I inadverently & unknowingly pissed off a colleague late last week and my apology today seemed to only make her madder, and the people I supervise all were in bad moods today too. I really want to just crawl into bed and pretend today didn't happen.:headache::headache::headache:

But on a happier note we got the last piece of Dave's Halloween costume in the mail today and it was so much fun to see the look of excitement on Ty's face when he realized that daddy was dressed up like Pete the cat. He immediately ran into his room to get his Mickey Mouse costume and danced around the living room singing the Hot Dog song (from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for all of you who don't live, breathe, eat and sleep Playhouse Disney like I do). That 5 minutes almost made up for the rest of today and it's suckiness :lovestruc :wizard:

Mama told me there would be days like this.
Or so the song goes, right? Yeah for DH making little Ty dance and laugh!

WendyLouWho, I must witness this Monkey Bride you speak of. Go with me on the ride and show me!

Kelly, love the pic of your girls in the pumpkin patch.

She only shows herself to the cool kids, so we'll have to see how that goes for you :rotfl: Congrats on the award, BTW :thumbsup2

No fair getting a cheat with a Monkey Bride tour guide ;)
