I'm starting to see what Theresa has had to put up with:laughing:

Angie, I knew you could relate and feel my pain. Don't worry though, it NEVER gets old :rolleyes1

I am finally back to working out again, and I was thinking about you. I'm not brave enough to go back to the gettin fit thread yet though.

Yay, Tracey :cheer2: That's awesome (I should be too, but I'm too lazy..... bummer)

Would something like this work?

Saturday
Scavenger Hunt
Late Lunch: Cafe Orleans (and Club 33 for a lucky few if Heather does that again!)
Cove Bar for drinks

Sunday
Segway Tour
Brunch: HOB Gospel Brunch
Dinner: Goofy's Kitchen OR Napa Rose

That looks good to me, are most people staying until Monday? My only concern with it, is that Goofy's was going to be our big meal, but I remember not very many people stayed until Monday this past trip. Whatever the majority decides will work for me though. :thumbsup2

Good Luck with the move Jen! That is exciting, and you know it will work out somehow.

Cristabel, I'm sorry that you didn't get a computer. That is disappointing. The prices are really coming down though if you shop around. I hope it works out for you.

Hi to everyone! princess:

Well, remember there might be rides DURING the scavenger hunt . . . .
::yes::

I'm thinking we need to plan a group viewing of the Billys!
:thumbsup2

Can't believe how fast the summer has flown by. My sister just mentioned perhaps Christmas at Disney to help her boy not be too sad his first Christmas without his Dad. (We secretly have a trip in the works already). Spoke with my hubby and probably our trip will turn into an extended family trip. It is hard because although I love my sister to death, she is polar opposite to me and is a little stressful to be around sometimes for my hubby, but he will buck up and it will be fun.
That is a wonderful idea! :goodvibes

I want to move Club 33 to Saturday for lunch. I'm thinking around 2pm? That should give us time to do the SH in the morning, chill from it, and then eat. Those going to Club 33 might still be a little full at Goofy's, but we have to put it somewhere, and I really want to do the HOB. Of course we could always skip Club 33 this year....... j/k!!!!
See Stacie's reply below!

We are thinking of starting the Scavvy Hunt around 9:30 to 10:00am on Saturday. If we start at 10:00 and give out questions and rules, that should take around 15 to 20 minutes to get all of our acts together. :rolleyes1  From there, it is the mad rush. :dance3: Then the hunt would officially end at 12:30. It will take about 20 minutes or so for prizes, and accolades!! :cheer2: If you had your Club 33 stuff in lockers, could you be ready to go for a 1:30 ressie? Orrrrrrrrr....If we move the time to 9:30, than that makes it even earlier.

What I am trying to do here, is keep Goofys and Napa on Saturday night, so those having to leave on Sunday can still make these get togethers. Then move Cove Bar back to Sunday afternoon.

How does all of that sound ladies?

Guess where I am...anyone???? Yup, work again. I was 5 minutes away from going home today when I was told I had to go to the other port and work another 8 hours. My DS was not very happy with me to say the least! :scared1: And dh had just started making me dinner...a new recipe he wants to try out. Luckily he hadn't done too much on it yet and he was able to stop and we will try to have it tomorrow.

Later,
Sarah

I have never seen them before and it is on my list of things to do!

Some of the other things on my list of things I've never done:
Animation Studios- went in once for 5 minutes then the kids started whining to go on rides

Aladdin- the timing has just never worked out

Character Breakfast

Cove Bar- I never even knew it was there before the trip reports

Eat at a restaurant other than Rainforest Cafe or Denny's

Eat a mickey waffle

Eat a corn dog

I've never tried any of the treats at Pooh Corner - may have to have a few to find one I like;)

Find a good spot for Fireworks- usually catch them as I'm in DTD or at the hotel

that's it so far...
That is a great list. :thumbsup2

I agree we need to have a day and time so a group can go together. I still haven't been and this year I'm going to see this.

steph
 What?? I can not believe that Steph!

I think we can help you with most, if not all of this!
BTW, I think it would be fun for all of us to go to the Animation Academy together.
Good idea too!:thumbsup2

Looks like the February trip planning is coming together! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately, looks like I'm not going to be able to join you all on the DL next year. We've decided to go to Switzerland. It's been a bit rocky today, as we made the decision based on the information from my work that I would be able to transfer and today I was informed that VP of marketing did not approve my transfer. My bosses boss is going back to bat for me and hopefully all will work out. If it doesn't, well I guess I have to figure out how to find a job in Zurich. DH quit his job last week, so we're pretty much committed to going.

Pixie dust and good wishes appreciated. :wizard: I'm sure it will all work out somehow, just may be a little different than we planned.:headache:

I will still be going to DL for the 1/2 marathon. That trip is paid for and nonrefundable, so there's no saving money (or not enough to make it worthwhile) by not going. I'm hoping to meet up with Cheryl and others for a DIS Diva meet while I'm there! Sunday night is my preference, as the race will be over and I'll be able to have a glass of wine (or two). How late is that Napa Rose lounge open on Sunday? Any other ideas for a possible meet up location?

Oh and Molly/Bumbershoot...I keep thinking of one of your posts (not sure if it was here or on your trip report) where you described your DH's approach to job searching and how he was committed to it like it was his job and kept improving his resume and approach. If I do end up in the job market, I'm going to try to take that kind of attitude. It's so easy to take it all personally. Though in tough job markets, I would rather be an engineer or IT person than a marketing professional!!

Night ladies. Many good wishes to you all. :wizard::wizard:

-Jen
Aw Jen........we will miss you.:grouphug:

But just look at what you get to do?? Be in another country, experiencing different cultures, eating strange and wonderful foods, sight seeing, going to DL Paris..........so many things that most of us will never be able to do.:goodvibes

Good luck and God's speed to you.

Melody:hug:

I like this too! :thumbsup2

I just got back from Phoenix and will post our pictures of the Tinkerbell plane after DH gets through editing his pictures (973 of them). For those who are not familiar with them these are the Alaska Airlines Disney planes. I have now been on both of them.

I love the pics!

Cristabel, I don't mind saving seats for the fireworks as long as they are worth it. If "Remember" comes back again, I would be happy to sit for awhile.

Yes, we will definitely find a way to get to Disneyland Paris. I was thinking it would be a great place to go for Halloween. We'll have to see how the job front goes before any more Disney trips. But I'm sure that sometime in the two years we are there in Europe, we will go!

Anybody want to come with??? DIS Diva meet in Paris!! Come on... AWESOME!

Oh Jen, how exciting for all of you! I know it's not happening exactly like you were hoping, but still, it's exciting! I really hope your bosses boss can get this to work out. Fingers and toes crossed! :thumbsup2

And if we (my family) could, we would TOTALLY come to meet you in Disneyland Paris, or even to visit you in Switzerland. I just wish we could afford it. But if it's ever financially feasible, we would absolutely come! :woohoo:

That was my concern also in case you didn't see my reply to Stacie. :thumbsup2 I chose 2 because I didn't know when the SH was and when I asked last week, there was no time given. I think a 9:30am SH start would give us the most time to work with. Once I have the group for Club 33 together, we can vote on a time. Does that sound good? If the whole thing was wrapped up by 12:30, I could see making 1 or 1:30 lunch ressies as possible. We will definitely have an appetite worked up! popcorn::

Jen: Sunday nights are generally good for me--when is the marathon exactly so I can put it in my calendar? I think both the Hearthstone Lounge and Napa Rose lounge are open pretty late. and . . . . if I can gear my self up for such a long flight it is a distinct possibility that I may want to go to Disneyland Paris at some point. Of all the "overseas" parks it's the one I would be most likely to go to. Wouldn't that be fun?

Heather: I would still plan on 2 p.m. for your Club 33 thing. Just in case there's a delay or something in the scavenger hunt I don't want the Club 33 attendees stressing over missing lunch! And if it is over by 12:30 then that will give people time to decompress before attending the Club 33 event.

Yes, that is a good point Cheryl. We only have this trip once a year so we need to make sure there is time for both of the special events { Lunch at Club 33 and the Scavenger Hunt} cuz alot of time goes into the quest, we don't want anyone having to leave before it's over. Or we might cry :rotfl:
And we don't want anyone late for Club 33 or they might cry cry!

Theresa...I love Candadians!:lovestruc One of my long time friends is Canadaian..she now lives in Hawaii.

Melody...thank You for figuring out the time for the hunt.

:littleangel:Melody, Cheryl, Heather, Donna and Stacielee:littleangel:Thank You all for being there for me yesterday.. i really appreciate each of You and hope that Your kindness is returned to You tenfold. :grouphug:

Jenn... Hey.. if we plan for it ..i'm in for a Disneyland Paris trip.. i just need awhile to save for it. CheryL.. woo Hoo..that sounds like a super great trip!

Steph.. I haven't seen that show either..or alladin.. or..or...

Just stopping by real quick to say hello to everyone .

I haven't been on much here or Facebook lately so I'm out of the loop. I did see some planning going on which is great & that Jenn is moving to Switzerland which is awesome.

My life has had some more crap thrown in it, but I'm learning to stay positive and take everything one day at a time. As soon as I have a free minute, I'll post all my current drama for you guys  (all I can do is laugh at my life lately).

I miss you all & I hope to be on more once I get my life in order again.

So I woke up at 2 this morning and couldn't sleep.. i washed all our clothes and repacked them to leave in the morning. Then fell back asleep at 4. :worship: Thank Goodness.

I am nearly through will all the food. I made chicken pot pies..a small roast with vegetables..penne with italian sausage, homemade sauce and mushrooms i reduced in two bottles of red wine and butter. A few side dishes.. the fresh salads and fruits i'll prepare there. I just finished the stuffing and I think I am going to cook the two turkey breasts when i get there. Oh i need to make some desserts. I think cup cakes and brownies. i should make the fake mashed potatoes here..they are made with califlower..really good once baked.

Oohh and i did the italian sausage a different way it is soo good.. i put them in water in a deep skillet and added some fresh sprigs of thyme.. once it reduced down.. i poured in half of a cup of brewed coffee and a little chicken broth then reduced it down again.. the house smelled so wonderful. And the sauce tasted delicious.

I've made meals so that we all sit down together and rest from packing and all the work. Well we will leave early in the morning. I won't be back til monday.

It's nice to take a break.:yay:

Cheryl and Dawn, I do hear what you are saying, and think that you are right. I don't want to feel rushed after the SH. The talking and bonding afterward was so much fun. I want to be able to see the awards. Also, are we still thinking of riding around the park in the train afterward? I would love to do that.

I think those that go to Club 33 are just going to have to know that we might not get our complete money's worth out of dinner at Goofy's. It's a small price to pay. Also, no one has to go to Club 33, so if the time doesn't work out for someone then no biggie. I hope that everyone who wants to go and can will be able to pick a good time.

We will see what everyone else says once everyone is chosen.

Heather

:Steph.. I haven't seen that show either..or alladin.. or..or...

:scared1: Are you kidding?

Katie--take care. We miss you!

Did you guys see that Wii is coming out with a Toy Story Mania game? This may make me break down and buy a game system!

LOL--like someone would turn down Club 33 for Goofy's!

Personally--and I know we voted on this a long time ago--I think we should re-visit the Goofy's thing. I think some of the people who voted for Goofy's (which probably included me) are no longer going (opting for Napa Rose) so maybe we need to re-vote with those who will actually be doing dinner that night? And maybe we should wait until after the Clubb 33 people are chosen so that the people who are going to the "group" meal are the only ones voting? (Did I just cause a problemo?)

And if it was me--I would probably go to Club 33 and not even plan to go to a meal after!

I was just wondering why we haven't seen you much on the Dis or FB. Oh Katie, you poor thing. The last thing you need is more crap. Let us know if we can do anything to help, and of course we're always here for you to vent.

Cheryl.. okay in 2 years we go to Disneyland, Paris and Jen must meet up with us. And bring wonderful swiss chocolate:goodvibes

Heather... Oh I know that Your Club 33 meal is a Big Highlight of the trip. It builds excitement and adds an allure of something that most people never get to do. Like CheryL said.. Goofys you can go to any time..but Club 33.. that's Really Special!

Ooohh that's right! We were going to ride on the train together after the hunt.. that would be fun. I can see it now.. i'll be left behind.:rotfl: ... Ya'll better wave to me if i don't make it on the train and have to wait for the next one. And i want homecoming queen waves too!

Katie... aahhh big hugs for you, sweet one:hug:

Lots of Love for Stacerita, WendyLouWho and DebbieLouWho who i just don't see near enough:grouphug:

Hey Tina..whatcha cookin'?

Katie, sorry to hear life's a mess right now. I can only send prayers that things get better.

I'm confused about what's going with Goofy's...I'm also to lazy to search the past few pages for an answer  So would anyone mind telling me what's the sitch?

I'm off to run some last errands in the Santa Clarita valley. :banana:My mom said she'll dye my hair when she gets back from the gym and picking Anais up from school.

TTYL !

Not want to go to Club 33...:lmao: This past Sat. I was standing looking up at the windows of Club 33...dreaming.....:flower3:

Hello again ladies. It is so nice to see all of your responses!

I will go with the flow for the scavvy hunt. The hunt committee will decide soon, to let you know the time.

Cheryl, I agree about Goofy's dinner. Or we can list both Goofys and Napa for a choice, and see where that takes us. (Hmm? Maybe it is already listed? I haven't been on the front page for awhile.) :rolleyes1

Katie, I don't get on Facebook like I should. I am sorry about your life being cruddy right now. Take care.

Dawn, how in the world did you get all of that done yesterday? You must have had every pot and pan going at the same time. :hyper: The sausage smells wonderful! :snooty: I loves me some pot pies!! :love:Tonight we are really living it up... I'm making good ole taco salad!:goodvibes

I think I will pass on the DL Paris trip. I'm not ready to go back to Europe yet, after our last experience. :sad2:

Now if someone wants to start planning a trip to WDW, then maybe I''ll think about that one seriously. :cool1:

Now if someone wants to start planning a trip to WDW, then maybe I''ll think about that one seriously. :cool1:

WDW? Did someone say WDW?

I am sooooo there! :woohoo: If they have the great deals they have this year next fall, we should consider doing WDW for Halloween! The Halloween party there is wonderful, and the free dining can't be beat! Think we have trouble now deciding where to eat???? :rotfl:

Oh, and the Club 33 thing will work out. It always does. Napa Rose sounds wonderful to me! I going to be trying it for the first time soon, and can't wait! I'm doing Club 33 also, but I'm looking forward to the food at Napa more. Call me crazy. :rolleyes1

Kate-I hope things look up for you soon.

Dawn! You are my hero! I am cooking a few things tomorrow for DH to have while I'm away on my birthday trip. Your menu sounds good. popcorn::
